Camera isn't in color

My laptop camera for my E440 is not in color. It is black and white. The ColorEnable option is disabled. Please help me fix this problem.

Hi - Far be it from me to contradict Apple, but I see no reason why this camera should not work flawlessly with Final Cut as it as (depending on your settings) an HDV 1080i60 tape based recorder, or a DV tape based recorder, both of which have a long history of support within Final Cut.
The areas of concerns are:
1) This camera will require a firewire connection between it and the computer to work. This connection is also called iLink by Sony, and sometimes the port on the camera is labeled "DV".
When this camera was built, the Macs were equipped with 6 Pin firewire ports. So you connected the camera with a cable that had a 6 Pin connector on one end and a 4 Pin connector on the other (the 4 Pin plugged into the camera).
Now some Macs come without a firewire port, or if they have one, it is the new firewire 800 port which has 9 Pins. So if that is the case, you will need a cable that is 9 Pin to plug into the computer and 4 Pin to plug into the camera.

The problem has been that there have been problems reported with the change of cable causing connection and performance issues. So this may not be a guaranteed solution.
2) The other thing to consider is what format you have actually taped in. Is it HDV or DV? Final Cut will need to know the correct format as it will look for the appropriate type of video signal once you set the Easy Set Up in Final Cut Pro to either "HDV 1080i60 Firewire Basic" if you shot HDV or if you shot DV, "DV-NTSC". The caution for this is that many Sony Cameras have an internal, menu controlled setting to down convert the HDV to DV at the iLink output. You will need to go through your menu settings and make sure this feature is turned off, if indeed you shot HDV. See page 57/58 of your manual.

You need camera raw 8.4 for your camera, if it’s Digital Rebel T5 EOS 1200D EOS Kiss X70. It is not compatible with PSE11; so it’s a bit odd if that software was bundled with the camera except that it will work with jpegs. I suggest you download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will editable in PSE11(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

My iPod touch 5 front camera isn't working, how do I fix it?

My I pod touch 5 front camera isn't working. How can I fix it. I have also already tried to reset it multiple times.

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

My IPhone 5s camera isn't turning on, the screen is black for every app I use for the camera and none of them work. I've turned my phone off and on again and that didn't work and I also tried resettingy phone. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

if the camera stays black when trying to use it in any application it is likely a hardware issue at that point because the aperture on the camera isn't opening. the only way to is that is by actually having the iPhone repaired through an apple store or through contacting apple support and going through a mail in repair.
if the iPhone is out of warranty though there would be a cost to have it repaired and it may end up being cheaper to take it to a third party to have them repair or replace just the camera.

I had the same problem- go to Utilities, General, Use Side Switch To, and change it from Mute to Lock Rotation- this solved the problem for me.

My camera isn't working. How do I get it to be detected??

I have used skype a lot and it's never been a problem. Now all of a sudden my camera isn't working in skype or any other application.

AirDrop requires both Blutooth and WiFi operating, and works only between two iPhones model 5 or later. No other iPhone models or other brands of phones support AirDrop.

Nikon D7200 and can not open RAW files. Error msg says camera isn't supported. Using PSElements 12

I recently purchased a Nikon D7200 and I can not open RAW files. I get error messages indicating camera isn't supported. I've downloaded RAW 9.0 but no luck. I'm running PSElements 12. Any suggestions? Is the camera too new for Adobe?

Camera Raw shows wrong colors

Camera RAW: NEF - JPG color dessaster

I use PS CS4 on my Mac. Normally I use Camera RAW to convert my D90 NEF-files to JPG-files without using Photoshop.
In Camera RAW look all colors great. When I convert the 12Bit-Raw-files to 8Bit-JPG's all colors look sad and gray.
Where is my mistake??
In the export-dialog it's not important if i set 16-bit export or 8-bit export - the colors look like crap!
The only workarround i found is to rise the saturation and dynamic for 15-25 points. Is there no better way?

If you are saving to JPG directly out of Camera RAW and not enhancing further in Photoshop then you should probably save as sRGB, especially if you are putting the JPGs out for people to see on the internet.
What could be happening is that you’re saving as ProPhotoRGB or AdobeRGB but the viewer you’re using to verify the colors is not doing color-management properly so it is interpreting the colors as if the JPG was sRGB even though it’s not.
If you are going to be editing in Photoshop then keep the colorspace in ACR as 16-bit ProPhotoRGB and do the conversion to 8-bits and sRGB in PS just before saving as JPG.

Thanks ssprengel for the suggestions and running a side by side yourself. I went through all my settings and applied your suggestions and did a side by side each time. I even uninstalled the entire creative suite on my system then reinstalled and updated and I still get the same outcome. It was fine yesterday with the previous version of ACR. It seems like the updated version is not showing the image preview in any color space. When I switch the color space in the workflow options the histogram changes but it doesn't seem to affect the preview window. And yes the preview button was checked on it was just when I was using the screen grab tool in windows it took focus away from the application so that is why the settings appear grayed out. I have attached more screen grabs below illustrating all my settings. Also here is some system info if anyone out there has a similar setup and would be willing to test.

Just got this problem fixed.
This is what customer support instructed me to do for my iMac:
Rest 1.
Shut down computer and unplug power; wait 15 secs.
Turn on computer.
Shut down computer.
Reset 2.
Turn on computer.
Before gray screen comes up, so almost immediately, press Option-Command-P-R at the same time.
Hold down until you hear the turn-on noise, let go and let the system start up.
This fixed my camera problem.

The rear camera isn't working on my iPhone 4s

I can access the camera but the only one that works is my front camera. When I open the camera app all i get is a black screen when i try to use the rear camera.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing. The front facing camera is just as good as it ever was! My phone can tell the rear camera isn't working too. SnapChat does not even give an option to turn the camera around to the rear camera, the flashlight app is lighting up the screen like it can tell the flash wont go on and the phone flashlight has it grayed out so I cant even try to use it.
My phone is past the 1 year warrenty so they wont replace it if this is a hardware issue. Restarting and restoring settings is not working.
