Hi In iPhotos the JPEG picture number was shown but cannot find this in Photos, has it been removed ?

I just now turned on my photo stream so my pictures from my iphone 4S can go to my desk top. Not sure why I didn't do this sooner, and a bunch of pictures from my photo stream didn't make it to my computer. It's difficult to say whether it's stuck or not as the time to restore a backup can depend on many factors. You'll have to decide when you think it's just not continuing. You could try turning the phone off (hold the power button until you see the red off slider, then slide to turn off), then back on to see if that would get it going again.
When you're convinced it's just hung, you can go back to settings and tap Stop Restoring iPhone to stop the restore. You'll then have to try restoring it again (Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup). Be sure it's connected to your charger and wifi while it's restoring the backup.
You might also try the approach posted here by ezjules: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This seems to have worked for some people who had trouble restoring their photos from an iCloud backup.

Photos can display the titles of the photos below the thumbnails. But while iPhoto used the filenames with the file numbers as titles as a default title, if no title had been assigned, Photos does not do that. Filenames are only shown in the Info panel for a photo. You have to copy the filename to the title filed manually.

Just purchased iPhone 5s. Not all photos are DL yet. However, took a few pics & videos
with the camera & they do not appear in photos/camera roll??? Help!

I have the same issue (iPad 3, iOS 6). I have tried to:
-erase all projects on the iMovie
-reset the iPad
-uninstall iMovie and reinstall it
None of these three things worked and I am at lost in terms of what else can be done.
All that happens when I start a new project is that under "videos" there is a big black box (empty videos). Same thing for pictures. When I press the camera button to insert a video from the camera, this works no problem. However, I used to be able to insert videos/pictures from my Camera Roll.

What model of iPad is it, wifi-only or wifi-plus-cellular, and have you got Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Camera set 'on' ? Only cellular models have a built-in GPS chip, for a wifi-only iPad to potentially be able to record location details on a photo it needs to be connected to a wifi-network, and that network needs to be in Apple's database

Why do iPhone 4S camera roll pictures sometimes not go to my photo stream?

Is this an issue with just the 4s? I am waiting to upgrade, but missing photos is frustrating. Sometimes pictures taken at same location minutes apart do not appear in photo stream. I have tried resetting the phone, turning camera off, etc. but problem persists. It did not do this initially, but started several months ago, probably after an update. I cannot find a solution that works in the support communities. Any suggestions or do I just need to live with this until getting a new phone?

Not sure if you are referring to photos in the Camera Roll from before you turned Photo Stream on, but just in case you aren't aware, only new photos will go. Following quote is from: iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ

In an album in Photos touch the Edit button and then touch the desired photos (up to 5). A blue check appears in each selected photo. Next touch the Share button at the upper left and select Mail. This starts a email with the photos attached.

User pictures are not shown when users are added to person field in custom list

Recently we have migrated our intranet from SP2010 to SP2013. We upgraded User profile service application, My sites and Intranet site to new environment. We haven't upgraded sites to use SP 2013 templates due to some business decisions. Everything
is working fine and as expected.
There are few lists in our environment where we have added users in a persons fields and allowed to show their pictures with details along with name. these user pictures are not being shown on to the page. After looking in picture property I found that "white
Space" in a picture library name is replace by %2520 instead of %20 (/user%2520photos/profile%2520pictures).
I tried reproducing problem on a new team site with SP 2010 template and it is reproduced however it is not occurring for a team site with SP 2013 template.
Any suggestions would be very helpful for resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.

We are experiencing the same issue. We get a /User%2520Photos/Profile%2520Pictures/ path anytime we use the people picker field with the option to display picture or the picture and details option.
EDIT: This is only a problem on the list view. If you open the display form the image shows just fine. I can't see any setting view Edit Page and updating the web part that contains the list data to correct this.

I got a Hong Kong skype number, and I tried to call my friends in Hong Kong while I am in UK. However, the friends told me that the caller number is not shown which means the skype number doesn't shown.

As you wrote this past Wednesday, if the recipient's telephony service provider does not support Caller ID, there is nothing Skype can do about this! Once you are assured that your Skype Number is indeed set correctly as your Caller ID, there is always the chance that the endpoint recipient's carrier - be it wireless or fixed line - will not detect the Caller ID data.

WRT54G Version number not shown on sticker underneath the device?

First post.. I had looked through the FAQ w/o any answers.
I have had my WRT54G for at least 3 years and had previously upgraded my firmware to 4.20.7.. just wanted to upgrade it again to 4.21.1 but acutally did not realize which version of the firmware I last used. Looking at the sticker underneath the device, it only shows WRT54G but does not show a version number... are there any other places where the version number is shown? I looked all over but was unable to do so.
I supposed my version must be the "earlier" ones... are they "bad" consequences for flashing the wrong version number's firmware?

If it does'nt have a version with the model number of your router...then it is a version 1.... you can also verify this by the serial number....you can lookup wikipedia and find WRT54G there....they have a listing of these serial numbers with corresponding version numbers....but if you can see now that it does not have a version, pretty sure its a version 1....

My pictures are not shown in my I photo library.

I can't see the photos, it's like they all vanished.
I still can see the pictures in the files but I had a lot more than those.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. More information means you get better assistance. (And no, more exclamation marks do not get help faster or make your issue seem urgent. They just make it seem like you have a stuck key )

Shared albums not shown in Photos for Mac

I upgraded my iPhoto library to Photos yesterday and the main photo content migrated fine. I have two OS X devices - a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini.
On my MacBook Pro, if I enable the sidebar in Photos, I see:
Photos
Shared
Activity
<Other shared albums - both my own and from another iCloud user>
Albums<Various Albums>
On my Mac Mini, I only see:
Photos
Albums<Various Albums>
So Photos on the Mac Mini is not picking up on existing shared albums. If I go to View | Shared it prompts me to "Start Sharing" (as if I haven't done this before). If I click Start Sharing and then create a test album the sharing dialog just vanishes after I select and email address to share with.
Anybody else seeing this? Any ideas?

Ok. I followed another suggestion and tried restarting the computer. It seemed to bring up the libraries. At first, I saw no pictures from the shared photos as they reported zero photos when they came up. However, leaving it open for a while seemed to bring back more and more of the libraries, and that was only after restarting the computer a 2nd time. I did get almost all my shared photos back, but each time it seems to stop and not bring all the photos back. I'll try restarting another time as it seems to be the big thing here.
The syncing activity in Yosemite seems to have some internal limit, where it stops attempting to grab photos from the stream and/or share, and then Photos only tries looking again after a computer restart, not a restart of the application.

How do you get your pictures to not go to photo stream

Is there a way to get your pictures you take or save to not go to both your camera roll and photo stream? I feel like it's taking up doubt the space that it doesn't need to be that I could also be using for something else.
