Camera Noise Help Needed

When recording music or stage presentations with my Canon DV, I get a mechanical hum in the audio. It sounds like the camera is recording its' motor noise. Does anyone have some advice for getting rid of the hum? I have played with the audio filters but I really don't have a good grasp on their uses.

Try to isolate the frequency of the hum for your camcorder.
I found that the Hum-Filter in audio filter folder work well for me.
Sometimes, an external audio editing app like Sound Studio or Audacity can do a better job.

1) GO TO OPTIONS/ADVANCED OPTIONS/HOUST ROUTING TABLES/menu key/REGISTER NOW.
You will get an email registration verification it will not go to your email account.
2) Send service books either from the BIS site or from your device. You will get an email verification

Camera connector help needed

can anyone tell me whether you can use it to just backup and keep the storage card full? does it automatically wipe the storage card once files have been imported?
also is there any way to sellect which files to backup?
I also understand you can upload the pics from your ipod using photoshop - get files from and then select ipod? can anyone confirm they have done this successfully?

Urgent Help Needed for WVC210 camera setup :)

Please help! I am trying to set up a Cisco WVC210 surveilance camera at one of the stores owned by the company I work for. Its a small business and I am the closest they have to an I.T person !! I have plenty of experience with software but not much on networking so need some idiot proof guidance ! The "administrative guide" is not worth the paper it is printed on!!
The store has a fixed IP address of 212.9.##.### I connected the camera using ethernet cable. Set the camera up using the software for the camera, with static ip address of 192.168.0.23. Set the SSID of the camera to that of the router (a Netgear one). It worked fine. I went to unplug so I could have it wireless and NOTHING !! It did work one time (no idea what i did differently!) but it would not work over the internet which is what we need it to do! I need the whole thing password protected too!
Is there ANYONE who can help me please??? I am at the point of running away from my work and never returning !!!! :s

Thank you for posting. In order to make the camera connect wirelessly, first set up the wireless settings in the camera to match the router. I usually open the router configuration page and copy and paste the SSID and Security Passphrase to the camera to avoid error. The next step is to unplug the ethernet cable and power cord from the camera. Then plug only the power back in and the camera should connect wirelessly.
For remote access to the camera you will need to forward port 80 to the LAN IP address of the camera. (192.168.0.23) This is done in the router. If you need help with port forwarding, you can search the web or call Netgear for assistance.
If you continue to need assistance with the camera, the fastest and easiest way to get assistance is to call Cisco Small Business Support. www.cisco.com/go/sbsc

The shutter sound is very annoying when you snap a pic in a lecture hall, museum, zoo, theatre, school, etc. Covering the speaker is not a realistic option. The invention of digital cameras without moving parts made it possible to shoot pictures without bothering your enviroment with undesired noise. By forcing a synthetic shutter sound down our throat Nokia turned back the clock.
That camera noise is not just inconvenient, it's more than that. Should we allow a handful of countries with mandatory shutter sound to force their rules onto the entire world? In some places you enter a legal minefield if you have a beer with your picknick in the park. Should we let brewers force-feed us their version of a digital shutter sound in the form of an unremovable brown paper bag on each and every bottle on the planet?

Help needed setting-up a Y-Cam on a WRT54GS

Has anybody set up a Y-Cam Knight surveillance camera using a WRT54GS router. I have set one up on my network. All my PC’s see it ok, the problem is I should be able it remotely access it from anywhere in the World with no PC’s on as it has a built in server, but I can’t nor can anybody else that I give my ip address (not the network address) to. I (and others) can access it using my ip address when I have the PC on and I run a third party program WebCamXP 5. It sends out a “movement detected” warning e-mail to me ok with no PC on, I have done all the setup as directed, static address, port forwarding ect .Has anybody got any ideas on the settings so I can remotely access it.

In order to Access camera remotely you need to forward ports for your camera on the router . And also make sure that the wanip address on router should be public.

In short, I love it. I was going to buy the 5DMark III. After playing with it for a while at my local Fry's store where they put 5DMII, 5DMIII and 6D next to each other, using the same 24-105L lens, I decided to get the 6D and pocket the different for lens later.
I'm upgrading from the 30D. So I think you'll love it. It's a great camera. I have used 5DMII extensively before (borrowing from a close friend).
Funny thing is at first I don't really care about the GPS and Wifi much. I thought they're just marketing-gimmick. But once you have it, it is actually really fun and helpful. For example, I can place the 6D on a long "monopod", then use the app on the phone to control the camera to get some unique perspective on some scenes. It's fun and great. GPS is also nice for travel guy like me.

Have you tried improving your original image with better lighting, better camera, better lens, etc.? What image processing have you done already, or are you starting from scratch? I agree with AnalogKid in providing some sample images to the forum so we can get an idea of what you are working with. Have you performed any morphology processing on the image? Have you tried edge detection functions? There are numerous functions that NI provides with their NI Vision software that will help you process your image, it is just finding the right combination that is the toughest part. Last, if you do have the Vision software, I might suggest taking a look at the Vision concepts manual to get an idea of the different functions and their capabilities. Let us know what kind of images you are working with and what you have done so far, and last, what you would like to eventually see. Thanks, and have a great day.

HELP NEEDED: new ipod touch not working

i just got an ipod touch for christmas
i previosly had and ipod nano and so allready had itunes with music and pictures on.
i plugged the ipod into the usb on the back of my laptop.
a camera pop up appeared which i closed.
my ipod touch is fully charged now.
itunes is not recognising and it is not anywhere on the menu.
the ipod touch itself will only show what i have been told is a register screen (wire pointing towards itunes logo)
on "my computer" the ipod is only appearing under scanners and cameras
please help as i just recieved it

Adobe Reader is free. It always has been.
You have obviously downloaded and installed Acrobat (30 day trial version) and the trial period has expired.
You need to uninstall Acrobat (using the Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features [Vista/7])
Then run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
to completely remove the Acrobat installer files.
Then download Reader 9, install it, and go about reading PDFs for free.

3d models in after effects, 360 camera. please help!

I've created a 3D stage and I have put a few 'sound and music' models on the stage.
When I create a 360 camera around the stage, all the instrument models move off the stage.
How do I keep the models on the stage so they don't move off when the camera is circling around?
Would love some help!!

You simply need to position them properly using the Element 3D group controls. Even multiple instances of the effect will align properly, since they use the same camera, you just need to put everything in the right place. As Rick suggested, it would be best to start by zeroing them out and then moving them based on a common origin/ reference point.

Camera noise on my macbook

just now, i was online as usual and heard the camera noise like a photo was being taken. it didn't include the countdown tones from photobooth so i'm wondering if i've just been hacked for the first time and what suggestions are there for security.

If the green light next to the camera lights up, SMILE! You're on Candid Camera!!
Note that the camera is just another service the OS provides to any app that needs it. Skype, MSN Messenger, FaceTime, to mention a few, are apps that use the camera as well. Heck, I even have a movie cataloguing app that uses the camera to grab the barcode off the box to expedite classification!
So, if you hear the click, be sure to be wearing clothes, Facebook can be a nasty place.... And you will want to audit what apps are running (as well as what webpages too, IIRC at least one of the FB online apps can take a pic too!). BTW, if the camera clicks, so can the mic be on as well.
For the camera, a bit of electrician's tape can work wonders. For the mic? A vow of silence??

Does it help, if you remove the memory card? If so, something's wrong with the card.
