Camera not turning on at websites.

I am a member at sticcam and whenever I wanna camera chat with somebody a message pops up saying "This website wants to turn on your camera. You might be recorded. Allow?" It said something like that. Anyway there are 2 buttons one is yes. One is no. I click yes but the camera dosent turn on. I have a built in camera on my mac laptop. But for some reason the voice recorder turns on. But the camera dosent. I need some help. Thanks.

Apple recommends leaving your computer turned on 24/7 unless you will be away from it for several days. Read the manual that came with your computer and you will find that documentation. It's good practice to put the display to sleep (System Preferences - Energy Saver) when its not being used.

I bought a HP s520 Digital Camera a few years ago, and just replaced the battery. The battery is inserted correctly, but the camera isn't turning on. I need help figuring out what to do next to get the camera to work. I need to upload these photos quickly!

Did the camera set for a long time without use and thus needed a new battery?
IF so, its possible the camera was not shut off and the battery (old battery) ran down.
IF the battery ran down with the camera on, the zoom lens did not retract all the way in, causing a switch inside to get stuck so it wont turn on.
Try these steps to troubleshoot the camera problem.
The batteries must be NiMH or Photo Lithium. Regular alkaline sometimes doesn’t have enough power. In your case, it should be a dedicated battery so it should already by NiMH.
Check for clean terminals.
Take the batteries out, leave the battery door open and let it sit for at least 20 minutes to fully discharge the capacitors. Put the batteries back in or plug the AC adaptor in and restart the camera.
Also verify the AC adaptor is working and able to charge the battery.
Check that the memory card door and battery cover is shut all the way. This can also cause the power to be cut off.
There is a little switch the activates the power turn on and they can get stuck sometimes.
Disclaimer: Carefully do the following at your own risk. Otherwise pay a camera repair tech to do it for you.
To see if the lens is still open (stuck out or even a tiny bit out) do the following:
Remove the batteries and memory card (YES remove them both).
Carefully try to push the lens back in all the way (Do not push on the glass). Reinsert the memory card and batteries and turn it on.
If that does not work, you may have to tap the sides a little to get the safety switch to connect with the lens inside.
If all this fails and the battery is charged and working, then there may be an internal malfunction in the power board and would have to be looked at by a repair tech. At that point, it may not be worth the cost to fix.

HT201257 Fan on my MacBook Pro came on and will not turn off, what could be wrong or how do I fix?

The fan on my MacBook Pro came on out of no where and will not turn off. The computer is not heated nor are any applications running in the background. The seems to be going on full blast. Before now it worked fine. Would turn on or off when need. Please advice what could be wrong or if ther is anything I can do to fix or troubleshoot. Computer is not even a year old.

LexSchellings: Now I know why you wished me luck and hoped everything would clear up asap hehe. I've been doing some reading and it is quite possible that my MBP late 2011 is sadly part of the probably million of MBP's out there with logic board issues. I am glad I am under warranty (still have to wait and see what apple techs decide on my comp) and sad that my comp will probably be done with in a few years. Not even 4 as it turns out. I can honestly say my old iBook G4 was amazing gave me 8 great years. Never had an issue with it.
Something funny is that about 10 to 15 mins ago the fan on my comp (the only indicator I got of any issue going on) quite down and the comp was working perfect. It has been running really slow since I noticed the fan being over worked even if nothing is running. Then it started up again and once again quite down, functioned well for like 10 seconds and started being noisy and slow again.
However there is an issue that bugs me, if according to my AHT results it is a faulty logic board how come my comp is still functioning? Of course being slow and noisy. I've read on some sad stories on here
Wish me more luck and send me lots of good vives. Going to need them. Especially if I end up not being able to fix the comp.

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

[NOTE - if the flash does not respond again after restoring back up then sorry will have to Erase All Content and Settings Again and then the best part 'Set up As New and manually enter data/information']
If the first time done and after setting up as new and still not resolved - then Id suggest call AppleCare Support or set an appointment up with an Apple Retail Store

HT1430 Light next to camera will not turn off

I have an iphone4 & all of a sudden this past week the light next to the camera has come on & will not turn even when the phone is turned off. Anybody ever experience this problem or hear of it??

Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)
4. Ignore the red slider

2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

My ipod naaIno is stuck in the lock position, my hold switch will not turn off even when I move it. I have tried restoring it and resetting it and it still comes back on in the hold/locked postion. It will only play when placed on a docking station and then I cant scroll to pick songs, I can only go to next song using buttons on docking station.

You will need to have the hold switch replaced.
