Camera preset on E71

Hi everybody !
I'd like to know if there is any way to save the camera preset on my Nokia E71 :
For example what I want to do is automatically start the camera application with the black&white filter ON.

Loss of Image Selection after Camera Preset Update

MAC OS X 10.4 LR 1.3.1
In Develop mode, I update a Camera Preset I created with "Update with the Current Settings". At that point I cannot choose any other images. It appears in the film strip that I have selected a new image, but the workspace area does not update. I can switch to another module then back to develop and it sometimes works, other times need to restart LR. Very repeatable here, can someone else try and confirm? Thanks.

P.S. Sorry.. should have added that I created a Camera Preset folder where I have different setting for ISO based settings, etc.

Ran the cleaner tool and reinstalled. Everything seemed to work for about 5 minutes and now it is again back to my original porblem with the "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
So unfortunately I am back to square 1 trying to find a solution.

How to change camera preset?

When you add a camera layer, it brings it into the composition with the 50mm preset. How can I change this to the 35mm preset? It looks like the CameraLayer object has a method called applyPreset(), but it requires an ExtendScript File object that for the file that contains the preset.

Actually, I used MAX only to capture the image and I have used a software SpectralCube to change the exposure time of maximum frame rate. This software also uses labview to change exposure time, so there should be some way to do it in labview. I have attached the snapshot of spectralcube and the labview file I used.

Losing Camera Presets in RAW images

I attended a Nikon class a few weeks ago and they were, of course, pushing their own software and workflow. One of the reasons they gave for using their stuff was that many of the settings and adjustments made in the camera and saved as metadata with the RAW image, is lost when the file is imported to Aperture. One of these camera settings I like is Active-D Lighting. (I know this is easily re-corrected in Aperture but it would be nice if I didn't have to do it at all.)
Is there any way to preserve camera adjustments to Nikon RAW files in Aperture?

Short answer is Nope - outta luck.
Don't mean to rain on your parade here but not only is this a pain but NEF's seem to be Aperture's red headed step child of RAW formats.

The camera presets for the Lens Correction Filter are gone

Hi! I shoot with a Canon 5D Mk II and Mk III. Sometimes I need to use the Lens Correction filter and have gotten used to seeing the dropdown choices for Canon cameras and associated lenses. Suddenly, they are all gone. Canon isn't even an option. What could have happened to them and how can I get them back. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!

   Thanks for the quick answer, but I still think the menu is misleading.
   If the body choices were in the format of "full frame, 1.3 crop, 1.6
crop, etc.", it would be clear that the specific model didn't matter.
However, this would create its own problems since many people wouldn't
understand the concept of the crop factor for their camera.
   The fact that the 5D Mark II exists in the pull-down menu as a discrete
choice in addition to the 1Ds Mark III implies that there is a difference
between the two. Even if there is no functional difference in this context,
it would avoid confusion if the actual body from the EXIF information could
always be the default selection.

thanks a lot dude. it works. i managed to activate the front facing camera. i could not however take photos/pictures with the front facing camera. neither could i save them.

E71 - Camera not working/music files not showing

Just recently, the camera on my E71 isn't working. It says it's being used by another application or something. Also, the music I put in my phone doesn't show up anymore. However, when I plug it into my computer, the files are still there. Does anyone know what's wrong/how to fix it?

check whether the scanner application is running in the background... happened to me once. press the home key long and check open apps, if you see any app that uses the camera, close it.
Music files might not show up at first, go to music player, press option and select refresh, the device will now scan for music files...

Sony xd cam 720p24 preset

upon updating fcp to 6.04 i came to find that the only sony xd cam presets are all 1080.
Where the heck did my 720p24 presets go?

E71 camera quality

Just got my E71 two days ago. Great phone overall but the camera needs improvement. Everything has a distinct bluish tint with a lot of noise. Sepia mode really isn't sepia, it gives pics a slight reddish tint. In some lighting it gives more accurate colors than the standard setting.
Hopefully this can be fixed by software.

I would accept something like the scanner software that would allow you to save the photo as it is and it doesn't try to OCR it...
yes .. E71 is great .. but the cam is a big disappointment.

I agree. I too have been playing with my E71 for the past week, and camera quality is WELL below par. In fact, my E51 had superior camera quality!!! :? (wow, that was so impressive that one, for a 2mp). I expected more from the 3.2mp with AUTOFOCUS. Nokia, what went wrong????
But what I also find so bizarre, is that the autofocus DOES seem to work!! But why only in the SCANNER application?? It'll autofocus beautifully, to scan business cards or simply text. So it seems to work? I now use this for macro shots I take (choosing to always save my scan as an image) and that's a workaround.
I'm not necessarily using it as a multimedia device (although the bluetooth headset 503 works wonderfully over A2DP, I can recommend!), but the E51 wasn't a multimedia phone either so it all sounds very strange to me. For a business phone I expect decent camera quality, and when you claim it's autofocus I expect this too then. And not just in the scanner functionality.
Could someone from Nokia respond please!? If there is a chance that my phone (or the phone of other users) needs repairing because this shouldn't be happening then it's crucial to let us know.

Typical for discussion forum, the experts to give usless advice( ie "try silent mode") folowed by " its a privacy issue".
I am unable to mute the camera on my E71. I also assumed it was a legal issue. Recently a friend of mine, showed me the Iphone 3Gs take a picture silently. Silent photography with a cell phone is possible.
This looks like something for a symbian upgrade or even a third party camera app.
Send your camera upgrade request to Nokia, cross your fingers.

Automatic controlling the tandberg camera

I am doing a project.I have a video-conferencing system at my college.Cisco telepresence precisionHD 1080p 4x camera(the url of this camera is - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11335/index.html ) is used in this video conferencing system.In my project ,I want that my camaera should do following work (this camera is ptz camera)-
suppose the camera is at at any position.then i want that this camera should tilt for some angle say 5 degree and remain there for 10 seconds.Then it should again tilt 5 degrees more and remain there for 10 seconds more.Say after 5-6 cycles of such tilting it should pan a little to the right and return to initial angle again and then again repeat the previous cycles.It should also able to zoom at some points,After completing all this work i should able to download the video.

if this work can't be done through coding,can we move to different presets positions automatically after sometime.Again i want that the i should able to download the final video.Here automatically means say after 20 seconds the camera should move to next preset location automatically and then say after next 20 seconds it should move to next preset positon.
I know this whole work is to be done through coding.I don't know how to do this whole work.please help me out as how can i do this work.any other suggestion for same type of work is welcomed.thanks in advance

You don't mention what type of Video Conferencing Codec you are using... this may affect what/how you can do things.
It is possible that you could do something similar to what you're asking with a script using the API to control the camera.
The API will differ between codecs. Check the relevant codec's API Reference Guide (ie this one for an SX20 running TC7.0.x).
With this example API, you can telnet or ssh in to the codec, and use the "xcommand camera positionset" API command to move the camera.
Of, if you'd prefer to use the presets, you can use "xcommand camera preset activate presetid: x". Note that there are a limited number of presets that can be defined (35).
Of course, to capture the video, you'd need to record the call you were in when you were moving the camera.

Raw and jpeg will not show when imported from camera

I am doing a OCA degree in digital photography using aperture 3 . I have been asked to take Raw and J pag , open up in the program I use. And not the differance and the make changes.
I have 1d MK III and 7 d I cannot get both file types to show side by side.. Some one tell me how to do this please. I must have clicked , ticked something , that I cannot find to put right again.

As always, start by copying the images on to a folder on the hard drive and then backing up the folder. Never import directly from camera or card into Aperture or any other images app.
Then since this is an exercise not a batch workflow, simply rename the RAW and JPEG versions of one image and separately import each renamed version into Aperture. The two should each be Masters, one from the JPEG original and one from the RAW original.
Note the JPEG may initially "look" better on the (relatively low resolution) display due to in-camera presets like sharpening, etc. not present in the RAW file. However the RAW file contains much more image data, is much more editable and is capable of making superior (relatively very high resolution) hard copy prints.

Aperture 3 Issues: "Apple" Raw Preset Override, Viewing, + Flickr

I have created a RAW preset for my Canon camera and asked Aperture to save it as my default. However, each time I load aperture, the "Apple" preset overrides my specific RAW camera preset. For some reason, the default "Apple" preset maxes out the boost.
Also, hitting the "v" key to change views is behaving erratically. The Inspector/Image view will simply not be in the cycle sometimes. I have also experienced my RAW files flickering when changing views, resulting in CPU overload.
And just some final comments: I'm glad to see Flickr integration, but more options would be nice. I'd like to be able to delete the aperture/flickr project without it actually deleting my flickr set.

Lightroom Camera Calibration tab

I use an iMac. I have Creative Cloud, Lightroom and Photoshop CC. I use a Panasonic DMC GH3 but using Panasonic RAW files, RW2 format, I can not see any camera presets, Natural, Vivid etc, under the Camera Calibration tab, just Adobe Standard. The camera is allegedly supported by Camera RAW but I can’t get beyond Adobe Standard, can anyone help please.

E71 and Color Correction

I have noticed even with the new updated version firmware that when using the camera it still has a blue or purple tint and lacks sharpness.I preceded to http://mosh.nokia.com/content/4F546B0D59DD282DE040050A45300EA2 and D/l this file and installed on the E71.
I took two pictures using the normal camera on the E71 and the conditions were set that both images not use flash. The first image was taken in the living room by the door leading to the deck and the other image was taken in a room just using the overhead fixture.
I then preceded to using the installed program and went to camera-color correction and color corrected blue by adding yellow and increased the contrast slightly. I will add another post so that you might see Roomlight 1.jpg
You decide if its better or worse and i also noticed and using the installed program that the file size just about doubled.

Somebody asked me to make a comparison of that living room photo with and without contrast.
All photos reduced to 640x480 as if they were sent mms.
Original Living room Photo
Living Room Photo color corrected by adding yellow and slight magneta
Living Room Photo same as 1. except contrast added.
Color corrections done on the spot via photoeditor
