  • ACR 5.7 can see camera profiles in Bridge CS4 but not in Lightroom 2.7

When utilizing ACR5.7 through Bridge CS4 - the cameral profiles are easily applied for my .NEF files (Nikon D300) but when I am in Lightroom 2.7 the camera profiles are not available unless I convert the nef to DNG.  I have tried to search the web and these forums but I am unable to locate the answer to my problem:
Why can't I see the camera profiles in Lightroom for my nef files when I can see them through Bridge.. (both running ACR 5.7)
    Windows XP xp3
    Lightroom  2.7
    Bridge CS4
    ACR 5.7
    Nikon D300 profiles
    Thanks for the help.

For those who might be reading this and having "odd" problems .. my solution was to delete my preferences file.

  • InDesign ICC profile file location

In InDesign when exporting a PDF, there are different icc color profile files to choose from under the "output" section.
Most of the files are located in
    user/library/application support/adobe/color/profiles
But I have one file that I would like to copy to another computer, and I can´t find the darn thing.
Searching the whole mac does not give any results either.
Is there a second location for icc-profile files?
    Anyone?

Hey and thanks for your reply.
Yes, I have installed the driver package with no luck of finding the file on my new computer.
Im not entirely sure if the driver package I installed are the same as on my work computer. But I got the newest from Richo representatives, so its current at least.
I am suspecting the file Im looking for came along with an online update via the App Store. I remember updating Richo something something :/.
Although the drivers are installed on my new computer, I cant fin the file, and I get no update request in App Store. Maybe my new computer has to be connected to the printer?
    I dont know.
Strange thing. I cant remember the last time I could not locate a file on my own computer.
Search reveals nothing. Invisible file search does not either.

  • PowerShell Script to Clean User Profiles File Location

    Hello,
I have been searching around to accomplish what I am trying to do. It is pretty basic so I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I want to write a powershell script to clean out two locations in all the user profiles on a Citrix server.
Here are the steps I'd like to accomplish.
    1. Find all user profiles on the Citrix server
    2. Delete all the files from these two locations; "\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\*.*" and "\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\OneNote\*.*"
This will run on a weekly basis via a scheduled task. A nice to have would be to add any profile over 60 days old.
I have a pretty good start, but I am still learning PowerShell, so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
    Thanks, Jeremy

    Hello mbwc,
how about showing us what you got so far and detail where you have trouble?
That way, we can help you understand your problems and find the solution yourself (= good for learning), instead of having one of us simply provide the solution (= bad for learning).
    Cheers,

  • Lightroom 2.5 Upgrade fails to install Camera Profiles

Having just upgraded from LR 2.4 to LR 3.5 as Administrator, I am unable to select any camera profile except one listed as "Beta" when logged on as a User.  The Adobe provided camera profiles that I've come to expect are ALL missing.
It appears that Adobe provided camera profiles have been installed at C;\Documents and Settings\All Users\... and NONE are located at C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\...
    Is this expected installation behaviour?
Shouldn't the camera profiles be located at some other location that allows anyone logging on to my computer to see ALL Adobe provided camera profiles?
How do I fix this problem so that ALL that log on can see the Adobe provided camera profiles?
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

The LR installer should install all the profiles for all supported cameras.
Profiles are selectable in Develop module from the camera calibration tab while working with RAW files.
The only profiles that will be displayed will be the ones specific to the camera model for the file selected.
Profiles for other cameras and models will not be displayed.
No profiles are selectable or displayed while working with jpeg, psd or tiff files.

  • DNG Beta 2 Camera Profiles

I installed the beta2 camera profiles for PS CS4.  Camera Raw 5.6.   When I go to the dropdown box in the Camera Profile presets there is only listing for nikon D2x profiles and Camera Standard, Portrait, Neutral, and Vivid.   I have a D300.  Should there be profiles for other cameras other than the Nikon D2x?  If Yes  how do I import them or where can I find them.  Are there profiles for the d300?
    Thanks

The profiles that don't say a camera are for the current camera which is a D300 in your case.  The D2x ones simulate that camera mode on the D300.
I think the D300 is new enough not to be supported by the old, old beta profiles, but they will clutter up the list for older cameras, so it's better not to have installed them.  ACR 5.6 comes with its own up-to-date list of profiles.

  • LR2 Camera Profiles not showing under calibration

I am using the production release LR2 on a PC running XP. I installed the camera profiles and presets. The camera profiles are located in the following directory:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera Beta 1\
I can see the presets when in the Develop panels but the camera profiles are not showing up in the Camera Calibration panel. "Profile:" is blank and to the right of that is "Embedded" - none of the profiles show up consequently there is no change when selecting a preset.
I had closed LR2 before installing the profiles and have read all of the FAQ's and anything else I can find on the subject but nothing addresses this issue.
Does anyone have a thought as to what may be causing this issue?
    Thanks

    >Does anyone have a thought as to what may be causing this issue?
The profiles will only work on RAW images. The fact that you see embedded means you are looking at a tiff, jpeg, or psd.

  • Cannot see ACR 5.3 update in the Camera Profiles on CS4

I'm using CS4 on Windows Vista 64. I have tried the manual installation process multiple times before and after re installing CS4. I've tried the AUM with no results good or bad. I know there are two Camera Raw.8bi files that have to be installed in Vista 64 and I've been very careful to get both of the correct files to the correct destinations - I've gotten a lot of practice at this. There have been no error messages. One thing Bridge is doing now is that when I open an image, it opens it in Elements 7, which I upgraded from. When I close PSE7 and reopen the RAW file, it then opens in CS4. My big concern however is not seeing ACR 5.3 in my Camera Profiles. Any thoughts for a non-techie?

Robert, I am having a similar problem with Elements 6, in my case I have installed the 8BI file on my desktop, and I can see all the options Jim describes in camera profile My camera is Nikon, so those are the options I should get. But on my new laptop, all I get in camera profiles is ACR 4.4. I originally downloaded the most recent camera raw update to the laptop, but when that didn't work, I copied the 8BI file from the desktop to the laptop with a memory stick, and I still get the same results - no options. Camera raw on the laptop does recognize my camera, and lists it at the bottom of the preview screen, but it does not populate the options in camera profile.
I distrust the answer you got from FAQs, because my camera did not exist at the time ACR 4.4 was released, and it really does not explain why I can't get the same camera profile selections on the laptop as I do the desktop. Both are Dell, Vista 32. Both are PE 6. Both are the same camera, and now, the same 8BI file. And both show ACR 4.4, The 4.4 doesn't bother me, but I want the camera options on my laptop.

  • Photoshop CS6 Trial wipes out CS4 camera profiles

I donwloaded the trial Photoshop CS6 (Mac 10.8) decided not to buy right now, and uninstalled. However, that process wiped out my Photoshop CS4 camera profiles in Bridge (ACR) and left only 4.6. How do I get my profiles back?

Are you installing from a DVD?  If so can you please try copying the install files to your desktop to see if you receive any disc errors.
Without having the PDApp.log file available then the next steps would be to perform general troubleshooting steps.  Troubleshoot system errors, freezes | Mac OS 10.x | Adobe software - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-mac.html is a good guide regarding general steps which will resolve most software issues.

  • Custom DNG camera profiles only available for DNG files?

I developed a custom camera profile for my Sigma DP-1, using a colorchecker chart and the DNG profile editor.
I exported the DNG profile in the default location.
When I open Lightroom or ACR, the new profile is not available for X3F files, only DNG files. Is this normal???

Well, I've imported the original X3F file as well as the converted DNG file in Lightroom.
When I develop the DNG file, my custom profile appears in the list. When I click on the X3F file, embedded*  is the only option.
It may have to do with an incomplete support of the X3F format. I have just repeated the exercise for my D300, and in this case the custom profile is available for NEF files.
Too bad since I'm happy with some of the Adobe camera profiles for the D300, but less so with the default look for Sigma DP-1 files.
I guess I should file a bug report...
    * or "matrix" or whatever is the term in the english version, I have the french version which says "incorporé"

  • Camera Profiles not being installed after adding .dcp files to a CameraProfiles folder.

Hi fellas, recently I downloaded some camera profiles for my Nikon D7000 and Sony RX100MII and added to CameraProfiles folder which can be found under Application Support folder on my mac. However when I open my lightroom and go to Lens Correction those camera profiles would not show up in the option at all. I shoot with RAW, so I don't think format is the root of the issue here. This is my first time trying adding Camera Profiles so I might be making some very fundamental mistakes. I would appreciate any kind of advices, thank you very much.

See the instruction below for the location where your profiles should be placed. If they are placed in the same folder where Lightroom install package places the profiles created by Adobe they will not be recognized.
Your custom Camera Raw & Lens Profiles should be installed to the User folders…
Lightroom 5 no longer uses the shared ProgramData (Windows) / Application Support (Mac) folders for Camera or Lens Profiles. Instead, it stores the built-in profiles with its program files.
When you create camera or lens profiles, they must be stored in the user locations listed below. If you previously stored custom profiles in other locations, you’ll need to move them to these user folders, otherwise Lightroom won’t be able to find them.
    Windows—C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ CameraProfiles \
    Mac—Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / CameraProfiles /
For the lens profiles, substitute the LensProfiles folder for the CameraProfiles folder.
The camera and lens profile file extensions are:
.dcpr—camera profile recipe file used for creating/editing a profile in the DNG Profile Editor
    .dcp—camera profile
    .lcp—lens profile

  • Using powershell to manipulate mapi profile and PST file locations

I have a situation whereby I need to move a bunch of PST files out of the default location in Office 2010 and change the mapi profile for the user so that the pst file location updated so the user doesn't experience any issues when launching Outlook.
My logic flow is as follows:
1.) locate All pst files referenced in the logged on users MAPI profile.
2.) Move these files to a another directory eg. c:\users\%username%\OutlookFiles
3.) Update the MAPI profile to point to the new location so that when the user launches Outlook he doesn't notice that the files have been moved.
I know how to copy the files using powershell etc. but how on earth do you query the MAPI profile to locate the pst files and then change each entry for a PST file to point to the new location.
    Anyone got any ideas?

What you are trying to do cannot normally be done with a script due to a whole host of reasons including differences in versions and lack of access to a users profile.
    !. Are you on Exchnage?
    2. Have you redirected the users folders with Group Policy yet?
Outlook OST files are not movable without the use of a third party tool.  It is far easier to just have the users create a new profile.
PST files that are attached in a user session can be moved using a script that can be run by the user.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Lightroom 5.7 Not Showing Camera Profiles from DNG File

    Hello,
I just installed Adobe DNG Converter 9.0 and converted some Nikon D7200 fles to DNG for import into Lightroom 5.7. This works fine except for the Camera Specific profiles not showing up. Only Adobe Standard shows up.
When I open the same DNG file in Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6, [it] properly shows all the camera specific profiles for the D7200. What am I doing wrong?
Here is what the develop module Camera Profile drop down menu looks like in LR 5.7
And in Photoshop CS6 Adobe Camera RAW ( ACR ) 8.7.1.311
    Thanks for your insight.

gonzalu,  the reason is because the profiles are installed separately for Camera Raw vs Lightroom.
If you're using Lr 5.x, then to get the extra D7200 profiles visible in Lr, you'll need to manually copy/install them.  Try looking here:
      C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\Nikon D7200
and copy the contents of that folder to here:
      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles
(where you should substitute your actual username, above).
Then restart Lr and the profiles should be visible now.
(You don't need to do this step if you're running Lr CC, because the new profiles are included with that installation.)

  • PLEASE make PS CS6 open RED R3D movie files through Camera Raw 7 as 16 bit/channel files

    Hi All,
Why does CS6 Photoshop only open Red R3D movies files as  8 bits per channel ???
This is VERY disappointing , R3D movies should be opened through Camera Raw 7 as 16 bits per channel
Hey Adobe please, Please, PLEASE make this very desirable change
    Many thanks
    Steve

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for the prompt reply.   I understand what you are suggesting however in CS6 PS  when I open a Red R3D file (on my windows machine)
photoshop opens the file as 8 bit/ch  WITHOUT going through ACR, not offering the option of opening it as a 16 bit file in ACR.
I presume PS "thinks" the R3D file is just 8 bit and doesn't "know" to start up Camera Raw 7 to allow opening it as a 16 bit file
No easy fix I'm guessin' ?
    Many thanks
    All the best
    Steve
