Camera Quality Changed After 10.2 upgrade

After upgrading to OS 10.2. the quality of the camera just changed. With the flash on, the images are sooo dark you can hardly see the images. A lot clearer when you take a picture without it. regardless if the area is really dark, a bit dark or with enough light. The rleft side is without the flash and the right is the one with flash.

Let me suggest you manually install the most recent official OS, 10.2.0.1803.

IDVD Quality Changed after Snow Leopard Upgrade

I created two different iDVD projects (slide shows with music) and burned them to DVDs - great quality, no problems with transitions, or quality of slides displayed. These copies were viewed in a BlueRay player, etc. After I upgraded to Snow Leopard I made two more copies without adding anything to the projects or changing the project settings. Quality is now terrible. The transitions are choppy, and each slide is displayed slightly less bright than it should be, then it jumps to a normal brightness, then goes back to a dimmer setting as the photos change. This did not occur on the originals before the OS upgrade. If I run the project on my MAC it all looks fine. This problem comes up after burning to DVD.
Any ideas?

Welcome to apple discussions. Sorry to hear about the issues with burning to disc you are experiencing at the moment. I'm not sure I can help with this issue without being directly in front of your mac and seeing what's going on. So I'll simply supply you with the apple KB aticle detailing / troubleshooting burn issues to dvd.

If you opt to return to the forum we'll also need more info on the mac model you are currently using and which third party items you have connected to it (if any). Lastly we will need to know how much available hard drive space is remaining on the boot volume (your main startup HD) as well as what type or brand of dvd's you are currently using and if it varied from the original /first burn.
As a final resort you may wish to try the following. Burn your iDvd project to a disc image from the file menu within iDvd (provided you have the available HD space). The disc image acts exactly like a dvd so use apple's dvd player to test for proper playback. Assuming it plays exactly as expected, then burn to Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, or Maxell Dvd-R at 4x. Please avoid using Memorex while we troubleshoot your issue here. This latter brand of dvd's tends to introduce additional variables into the equation making troubleshooting all that much more complicated. Thereafter, (assuming we resolve the issue) feel free to use whatever brand works best for you and your mac.

I checked my files and applications and they are still on my computer and nothing appears to be missing. Before the upgrade I had around 111 GB capacity with around 10.50 GB available on the Mac HD but now after the upgrade I have 119 GB capacity and 20.92 GB available. Can capacity on the HD change after an OS upgrade?

No, but the upgrade removed unneeded PowerPC code and changed the way free space is determined.

Camera quality bad after Upgrade

I had been fairly pleased with the upgrade to my phone until last night. My camera quality is really grainy now. Is there a fix or is this just something due to the upgrade. That is really going to disappoint me because before the upgrade my camera took really great photos.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Launch the Camera App -- turn the phone Horizontal. Tap the screen, once. A set of Options will pop up along the right side of the screen. Click on SCENES .... Slow network on a6000 plus and camera quality worst after recent upgrade.

The recent smartphone given by the lenovo is good but the network is too slow as compared to other mobile companies who work in the same network area.
Also the recent upgrade of vibe ui makes the camera quality worst. There seems grains now in the camera.

Photo quality change after exporting

Hello
I'm working on a short film project that should be made from photos not videos (so photos are critical in this iMovie project), but after exporting the movie ( in HD) I found out that the photos' quality were reduced?
Most of the photos are darky, with dark backgrounds, they look good enough in iMovie but after exporting they look lighted up, which ruins my movie.
What should I do??

That is odd, I have not been aware of any drop in camera quality via an update with this model. With this being the case I would advise running the update again and choosing the "Repair" option.

E71 -- positioning server changed after F/W upgrad...

After I have upgraded E71's firmware to 200.21.118, the GPS positioning server address is changed from

to

Now my A-GPS not working. Previously, it took less than 1 minute to show my current position.
On another issue, If I turn "assisted" off, GPS is not working as well -- not able to showmy current position.

After fiddling around the GPS, and reading some posts here, my observation is as follows:-
If "assisted" is off and indoor, satellite cannot be locked, so "Map" will not show "my position".
If "assisted" is off and indoor but close to door or window, satellite maybe (but take a long time) or may not be locked
If "assisted" is off and I'm driving, satellite locking is about 5 minutes - 10 minutes.
Conclusion: best enable "assisted". Downside is, there GPRS/data charges by operator.
GPS signals are too weak to make it through most buildings, so your observations are not surprising.
I believe Assisted GPS using cell information to query a backend server to determine your approximate
location very quickly and then that helps the GPS to lock on faster. I've observed that a pure an simple
Garmin GPS can take 10 minutes or longer for initial lock, which makes Assisted GPS really attractive,
despite the additional cost.

Image Quality Changes After First Preview

I've only been using Aperture for a few weeks but seem to have a problem when I preview any newly imported RAW images.
After I import any new RAW files, I'll select one for preview and for no more then a second the image looks great. Then all of a sudden the quality/brightness/sharpness reduces in front of me.
This only happens the once for each image, after that all images remain at this lower quality once previewed.
It's almost like Aperture is processing the image when I click to preview, but not in a good way.
It there a setting I should be looking for? I thought Aperture processed the image at the point of import, not when you first preview the image?

There can be other causes for this effect than are described above. On the 5DMK3, if you have the in-camera Picture Styles set to anything other than Standard or Neutral, the Picture Style will be applied to the JPEG but Aperture's Raw converter will not apply the Picture Style adjustments when it processes the image. Thus you will see some kind of shift in colour and/or contrast.
So either shoot only in JPEG mode if you want the Picture Styles applied to your images, or change the camera Picture Style to Standard or Neutral.

HDMI TV launcher and Camera quality issue after update to android 4.0.4

I've bought a Xperia S LT26i with android 2.3.7 ,all went ok ,camera worked ok ,HDMI and tv launcher no issue.
After i've made a OTA upgrade to Android 4.0.4 6.1.A.2.55.
Now after this update ,TV Launcher over HDMI does not work anymore and all potos from camera dooring day time or night have lots of noise.
Also in video mode ,is the same ,using any kind of settings from camera ,dose not doo any kind of noise reduction.
Any idea how i can fix this maybe ?

IMovie sound quality changes after export and is terrible

when i export my imovie the sound quality becomes bad and sounds like my speakers are blown but their not, it sounds perfectly fine in imovie but after its exported it changes to worse, anyone know how to fix this?

Check your audio levels. and if necessary, reduce the levels so that the audio stays under the 0 DB line. If you have audio that is yellow or red, reduce the level. This video shows an example of how to do this. Click on the video All New Audio Editing."

E-mails changed after SL server upgrade

Hi,
After upgrading to snow leopard I have noticed that the dates of all my previous emails in the database have been changed to the year 2020? How can I revert this? All new ones come in with the current date.

I have the exact same issue on several clients.
If I open web mail and the mail app side by side the dates are completely different. The mail app has many of the dates Nov 2020. I think that is because in the webmail app the folder simply shows the date and does not specify if it's the date sent or received.
I spoke with Apple and they stated to show only the date sent in the mail app as a workaround.
I have another client that runs Outlook 2007. As soon as we upgraded the server Outlook crashes when attempting to sync the Imap folders.
No way to revert back to 10.5...

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

My N95 region was changed after the NSU Upgrade

I used to have this N95 configuration Nokia N95 v10.0.0.18 15-03-07 RM-159 (05.01). Note that I had Bulgarian language in the languages. After the update I have V 11.0.0.26 17-04-07 RM-159 Nokia N95 (66.01) and no more Bulgarian ?!?!?
Any idea how to fix this

i think that's an updater issue! this is what happened to me, i download the software updater from Ireland, & then try to upgrade my N91-2 firmware it says there's no upgrade yet for my phone though i knew there was! what i did was to download the updater from southeast asian region(i bought the phone in HK during my travel there)& run it, voila i do have an upgrade & upgrade my phone firmware. it took more than an hour on a 128k dsl line!
since English language always on any region i guess i have no problem but there is support for other east asian language which i don't care!
this is a long shot, try to download a new software updater from your region, & give it a second go.Message Edited by android on 14-May-200709:03 AM
