Camera-RAW 3.5 kann meine DNG's nicht lesen

Hallo,
Andreas

Updaten auf PS CS4, vorher funktioniert kein CR5.x.

  • Profiles are gone with Camera Raw 6.7 beta and DNG-Converter

    Hello,
when i open a picture taken with the new Nikon D800 neither LR nor PS show the profiles i can see with the pictures taken from the D700. This also doesn't work when i convert them to dng with the beta version 6.7 of the dng-converter.
My workflow uses the x-rite colorchecker to generate profiles. It wouldn't be nice if this will not work any more.

new picture                                                      old picture (no changes in program configuration)

    Thanks to all answerers,
i think in my first try i did something wrong (didn't check wheter the file was actually created in ..\roaming\adobe\cameraraw\profiles).
The rest was confusing about the camera dependency of the profiles.
    Everything works fine now.
    Thanks again

  • Ich kann mein iPhone 4s nicht aktivieren!?

    Hallo,
habe mir ein neues iPhone 4s gekauft und kann es nicht aktivieren. Weder über mein mobiles Netzwerk noch über iTunes!:(
    Kann mir jemand helfen??
    Danke schon mal im Vorraus!!

Well, have you put a valid sim card in the phone?  If it is a valid sim card, have you tried taking the sim card out and switching off the phone and then re-inserting the sim card and switching back on again?
Try all these things and then try connecting it to iTunes again.
Also, what do you mean by it "won't activate"?  Do you get some kind of error message or something?
What phone are you trying to active - an iPhone 4, 4s or iPhone 5?  Do you have the correct version of iTunes if trying to activate an iPhone 5?  You need iTunes 10.7 to be able to activate an iPhone 5.
Where did you purchase the iPhone?  Did you get it directly from Apple or one of the phone carriers and did you purchase it from a legitimate source?

Adobe updates Camera Raw to support new cameras only for the latest (at the time) version of Photoshop.
Here is a list of supported cameras vs. Camera Raw versions:

Here is a list of Camera Raw versions vs. Photoshop releases (which is, sadly, starting to fall out of date):

Specifically, if Photoshop Elements 10 cannot update to Camera Raw 8.2 or newer, which I suspect it can't, then you will need to do one of two things:
    1.  For the greatest integration and convenience, upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop Elements (currently 12).  Then you will be able to open your 70D files directly.
    2.  Download and install the latest version of the free DNG Converter.  Then you will be able to convert your 70D .CR2 raw files to .DNG format, that Photoshop Elements 10 will be able to open.

  • PS/Bridge not recognizing raw files - HAVE updated DNG Converter & Camera RAW

Had to re-install my Adobe CS3 due to hard drive crash.
Now that I have re-installed, Photoshop & Bridge won’t recognize my raw files.
I HAVE updated my Adobe Camera Raw (3 times in the last hour), and my DNG Converter (4 times in the last hour). Nothing works. Any ideas?

If in photoshop cs3 you go to Photoshop>About Plug-in and click on the words Camera Raw, which version does it show?
Since photoshop cs3 can only use up to camera raw 4.6 and the EOS 5D Mark II requires at least camera raw 5.2, cs3 won't open those files directly without some help.

The 4.6 camera raw plugin update for photoshop cs3
Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Camera Raw 4.6 update
You could use the 8.7.1 dng converter to convert the files to dng copies which then bridge should see and photoshop cs3 should be able to open.

  • Camera Raw 5.2 and DNG Converter Available - Note from Adobe

Camera Raw 5.2 and the DNG Converter is now available:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2008/11/camera_raw_52_and_dng_converte.html
Lightroom will be updated to version 2.2 with equivalent camera support in December.

Well, I managed to locate and download both the ACR 5.2 and the DNG 5.2, but it was a bit of a challenge. I have a couple of comments regarding the DNG installation.
As a sometime OS beta tester, I have developed a habit of keeping C:\ for the operating system only. When a new OS or beta is issued, I just format C: and install the new OS. I try to keep applications off C:. It is hard, though, with all the default installations. It would be nice to have the option to install DNG.exe in my applications partition.
My workflow involves importing NEF's from the memory card to a folder, and at the same time converting those NEF's to DNG's and putting them in a different folder in a different partition. Both these NEF's and DNG's are archived. A copy of the DNG's are used as working images. The virtue of DNG's is that there are no sidecar files to keep track of when exporting images. Unless I really mess up, I never go back to the NEF's again. I guess that I am an "outlier" too. I guess that this is essentially the 5 - A "double DNG-only" workflow, using type 2, the native-DNG-DNG system. This is discussed in detail by Barry Pearson at http://www.barrypearson.co.uk/articles/dng/safety.htm#personal
I do like the camera profiles. I previously have used the Fors script. My Nikon D200 lacked red and the Fors script fixed that. Not surprisingly, different profiles are appropriate for different image types. Is there any way of determining the methodology and reasoning between the different profiles, and what specific problems each one is designed to correct. This might permit better matching profiles to image types, with less trial and error.

  • Trouble converting RAW files with Camera RAW/DNG - CS4 Mac

    Hello!
I am using CS4, with Camera RAW 5.7 and Adobe DNG 5.7.  These are the versions listed as compatible with CS4.  I am using a new Canon Powershot S100.  Can I use newer versions of the RAW/DNG with CS4, or am I just out of luck? Please help!

Same story we hear again and again.
New camera, old software, and the often un-stated expectation that the software company should go out of its way to provide new camera support for free.  First thought by those in the know is "you bought a new camera, why do you feel you don't need to buy new software to go with it?"
Those same folks who bought a new camera might never consider asking a camera manufacturer to make their new camera compatible with their old software.  It's a funny disparity.
Adobe walks a tightrope of expectations.  As it turns out, when you download the latest free DNG converter version they actually DO provide new camera support for free - it's just that converting to an intermediate file format is not quite as integrated or convenient as using the latest version of Photoshop with native support for that camera to just open the files directly.  Nor do you get the SIGNIFICANT improvements in image quality that the newer converters provide.
Use the DNG converter, but if you care about your image quality you'll consider upgrading Photoshop.  They really have made strides in raw conversion.

  • How to import camera raw-files as DNG-files using AppleScript action in the Aperture's Import menu - does such a script exist?

I'm looking for a smart way to set up an Aperture 3 workflow - where my propriatary camera raw files get converted into DNG-files when I import my files into Aperture. Aperture's Import menu allows for an Apple-Script to come into action as part of the Import settings. I was thinking if it would be possible for an AppleScript, as part of the import routine, to automatically send the files through the DNG converter app and back into Aperture? So that when the files were finally imported into Aperture they would be DNG-files?
Greatful for any answers and ideas!

Thanks for a swift reply Frank! I will have to use the Adobe DNG converter then, prior to importing into Aperture.
Yes, OSX does support my Nikon D600 NEF-files. But once in a while I want to be able to use features found in other raw apps, within my overall Aperture workflow, but without ending with a TIFF or other 'destructable' file format when continuing my workflow back in Aperture. This should be possible using the routine described here: http://www.apertureexpert.com/tips/2013/8/28/guest-post-catapult-and-aperture-3. html
In my case the problem is that my "old" CS5 version of Photoshop cannot be updated to read D600 files (even though CS5 is not even 3 years old) - I would have to buy a newer version of Photoshop and I have absolutely no intention of doing that. And so I have to find a raw file fomat that is readable by both apps.
On a second note there is a discussion about what raw format is likely to 'live the longest'  - also be accessable in 20-30 years. Some say that DNG stand a better chance here than propriatary ones. But I don't know about that and that is not my issue here.
