Camera Raw 4.4 doesn't work when hosted in Bridge
How stupid is THAT!? ACR 4.4, hosted in Bridge, gets me black images with a white pattern for raw files and solid-black images for DNG files. So are thumbnails displayed in Bridge. Switching back to ACR 4.3.1 resolves the issue. So does hosting ACR 4.4 in Photoshop. Strangely, a raw file opened with ACR 4.4 in Photoshop now offers three profiles (rather than one): "ACR 2.4," "ACR 4.4," and "Embedded." What is "Embedded" supposed to mean? And why does ACR 4.4 in Bridge, displaying a solid-black image, offer "Embedded" only but neither "ACR 2.4" nor "ACR 4.4"?
Anyone experiencing the same problems? For now, I am back to ACR 4.3.1 :(
Windows XP SP2, Minolta MRW files (and DNG files created from those via DNG Converter 4.3.1) from Konica-Minolta 7D.

Yes, sure. Here we go:
1st screenshot---A folder with MRW files. The files have been augmented with metadata a few weeks ago, using Bridge with ACR 4.3.1 installed. The XMP files are there along with the MRW files. Please note that with ACR 4.4 installed, Bridge now says, "Supports XMP: no". Also note that Bridge also grayes out the "Open in Camera Raw ..." instruction from the menu. The cache for the current folder has been purged and re-built; so has the entire cache (have tried both).

2nd screenshot---A folder with DNG files. The files have been created from the MRW files in the previous screenshot a few weeks ago, using Adobe DNG Converter 4.3.1. The small thumbnails are there, but the preview window shows nothing but a solid-black box. Note that Bridge recognizes the XMP support here. Also note that exposure data and focal length are displayed under each thumbnail (not so in the 1st screenshot, even though the preferences are the same). Bridge will allow to open these files in Camera Raw hosted by Bridge (not visible in this particular screenshot). By the way, DNG files are way too pink---they always were (i. e. it's not an ACR-4.4-specific problem).

3rd screenshot---The plot thickens! Another folder of MRW files. This is the folder I was playing with yesterday. For some reason, it does display the thumbnails properly now---it didn't yesterday (cache not yet re-built after switching from ACR 4.3.1 to ACR 4.4; I took this screenshot before the other two above) but the preview window already is defective. So is XMP support.

4th screenshot---This is the same folder as in screenshot #3 after re-building the local folder's cache. Unlike yesterday (and unlike screenshot #1 ... go figure!), the thumbnails are there but all of sudden, most of them show a red "MF" (which I HATE!), and the preview windows shows an image but in a distorted aspect ratio. The metadata as well as XMP support are still missing. The "MF" seems to indicate manual focus (and indeed I did focus most of these shots manually)---but I detest this obtrusive way of indication! I never saw this before in any of my shots. Please make it go away!

5th screenshot---This is the same folder as in screenshot #4 after purging the whole cache entirely. Now the preview window shows the proper aspect ratio. The metadata and the XMP support are still missing. And Bridge won't allow to open this file in Camera Raw (even though it does recognize the Document Type as Camera Raw Image).

Similar to screenshot #2 and unlike the respective folder containing the MRW files (see screenshots #3, #4, and #5), metadata and XMP support are there, the preview windows shows a solid-black box, and it's possible to open the file in Camera Raw hosted in Bridge.

7th screenshot---Now this is what happens when actually opening a DNG file with Camera Raw hosted in Bridge. You'll get a solid-black image. Note the histogram that is reflecting a solid-black image, too. Also note the contents of the profile selection combo-box which offers "Embedded" only but neither "ACR 2.4" nor "ACR 4.4" (the Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D is supported since ACR 2.4). In contrast to this, ACR 4.4 will open both MRW files and their DNG files just fine when hosted in Photoshop.

I have read the 5.7 raw read-me and it definitely says that it is compatible with MAC Elements 6 could somebody confirm this?Thank you, another case of big corporations screwing over the little guy. You want the latest update - you have to upgrade your complete software package. Wouldn't it be nice if they made the plugin compatible with the products as stated in their documentation and then posted a note saying that further updates will not be compatible?
After all, windows users got a version 7, us poor MAC users didn't!

Camera Raw Plug-in doesn't work
I have tried numerous times to install the latest camera raw plug in i have photoshop cs5 but towards end of downloading the plugin it fails can anyone help?
photoshop also states : Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.

S raw and M
i am using jpeg mode and raw mode so the files are Cr2 would that be my problem does it have to be purely raw files only? -
Cache doesn't work with Apace-WebLogic bridge
Hi.We noticed a problem with the download performance of our Java applet with Netscape. It's a tiny applet of 300K that takes only 2 seconds to load using IE, because it is already cached, and with Netscape it is always reloaded and the cache doesn't work.The applet is located on a WebLogic server, and we access it through an Apache server that redirects all requests to the WebLogic server. We noticed that when we access the WebLogic server directly, Netscape cache works fine. However when using the bridge, Netscape ignores the cache, while in IE the cache still works.The Apache server is installed on RedHat Linux 7.1. The bridge is a WebLogic module developed by BEA (the makers of WebLogic) that extends the Apache functionality and enables it to act as a proxy and leave the client (browser) totally unaware of the redirection. The requests are sent to the Apache server and the responses appear to be coming back from it as well.We need to understand why the cache doesn't work when using the bridge. Can you please tell us if you know of this problem or not, and if not -- point us in some direction to check for the problem.Thanks.
You have to modify the password manually in OEM's target.xml.

Canon EOS 100D is listed as compatible in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 and when I have checked for software updates there are none available. I've downloaded the Canon software, connected to my mac via the cable and followed the instructions in the manual. Sadly I just get a message saying it's not compatible with the operating system. I've tried inserting the memory card into the mac to and it doesn't seem to see it. Can anyone help please?
Camera RAW ≠ Camera driver, the RAW update is for the .CR2 canon raw image file (in your case) compatibility.
What happens when you try to import photos using Image Capture or iPhoto?
Can you take a screenshot of the error message?
I always prefer and recommend using memory card import over using the camera. -
my speaker doesn't work when I try to listen to music or open up a quick time file, however they seem to work perfectly when I listen to a voice memo (p.s. the volume slider disappears in a song page and even in the multi tasking bar)
Thanks for your solution, it wasn't quite what solved the problem but i remembered that i had a bit of salt water on my phone recently and spraying the charging port with an anti-oxide spray solved my problem, do you mind if i ask, how is the charging port related with the volume or/and speakers?

BitmapData draw method doesn't work when the project is published as the .swf file of the web applic

I am totally confused by this strange error. When I tried using the draw method of BitmapData to draw a movieclip symbol of my project, it seems to work fine locally. However, as I uploaded the published .swf file to my web server and launched it as the plugin of my web application, it failed. The source codes as follows,

message3 didn't show at all. Instead, the browser console shows "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject.". My understanding of this error message is that the .swf is calling something crashing, and I believe that bd.draw(stage)is the crashng method call.

My real purpose in this application is to capture a snapshot of a streaming video. The video is contained in a movieclip object. I have Adobe Acrobat 9.5.4 installed on my computer and it doesn't work when PDFing my document using Microft Word 2010. I have tried using the tab add-in, but it doesn't respond either. The only way to convert my document is to save it as a .pdf from the save as drop down box. I need to be able to have the full functionability of creating a PDF document with the tabs and links working.
Please help!From OFFICE 2010 you either have to have AA X or just print to the Adobe PDF printer. You give no information on your operating system or specifically what you mean by PDFing -- there are multiple ways to create a PDF from a WORD document and you have given no information. However, in this case your only choice is to print to the Adobe PDF printer. Otherwise, you need to upgrade Acrobat.

When selecting a menu item I used to click the left mouse button and hold it down, move the pointer to the desired menu item and release the mouse button. Everything works fine in the mine menu, but there's a problem when adding new adjustment layer from the layer panel: when I release the button nothing happens, I have to press the button again. In previous PS version it worked fine. How can I fix this?
I don't think that is user fixable, meaning you'll have to wait till adobe fixes it with an update.

It doesn't work when I press "transfer purchased items from ipod" and I don't know specidicly whitch item I need to transfer.
Whenever i press "transfer purchased items from ipod", itunes sync's for about 3 seconds, but I still can't install updates on the ipod without itues warning me about purchased items on the ipod, that aren't in the itunes library. I've tried folowing the steps in itunes help, but I can only find a step guide for when you know the specific item that needs transferring, and I donøt know that specific item.This Apple Tech Note explains the process:

It will transfer all purchased items that the computer you are transferring to is authorised to play: you don't have to select the items. -
