Camera Raw 6.0 not showing profiles

When I open an image in Camera Raw in CS5 and I go to the camera calibration screen, the camera profile dropdown box says "ACR 4.6" with no camera profiles showing. Is this normal. I sure would appreciate it if someone with CS5 could verify this for me.
Thank you,
Tom

Thanks for the reply, I reinstalled CS5 and my profiles are back.
Thank you,
Tom

  • Camera Raw Defaults & Presets not showing menus (BRIDGE)

    Hi There
I just upgraded to a new version of PS CS3 & Bridge and the option to apply Presets, or to Apply Camera Raw Defaults is not showing when I right click a file in Bridge. It also doesnt show up in the menu. I need to be able to Batch process hundreds of photos at a time and then convert them to Tif formats. I used to be able to do this by applying my Adobe Camera Defaults to many images at once. How do I do this now????
I am running Bridge 2.0.0975 and PS 10. Help!! This is critical for me!!!
    thanks so much!

    > Even if old versions are available for download, having older versions available on disk in case of malfunction is a perfectly acceptable practice.
    > This applies to any update of any software.
Agreed. I have gigabytes of disk space packed full of iso's, dmgs, and zips for
(almost) all of the software I've installed on my computers. It's a pain to
manage sometimes, but I know I can go back and reinstall PS7 (for instance) if I
need to even though I have no clue where the CD is at. It's just one part of my
configuration management and backup strategy. I don't have a sysadmin to take
care of this kind of thing for me any more, unfortunately, so I have to do it
    myself.
This plan also has the advantage that I don't have to be online to download
older versions from a vendors site (if it's even available) or go searching for
a seeded torrent (if it's not).
I'm not saying this approach is good for every one or even good for anyone but
me, but it is a perfectly valid way of doing things.

  • 10.9.5 with camera raw 5.07 not showing .RW2 and DNG but showing .CR2 previews in finder

Even with the latest OS and latest camera raw, only my Canon raw image files display proper previews in the finder, and open properly with iPhoto and Photoshop.  .RW2 and .DNG files will not show previews or open with iPhoto, and .RW2 files won't even open in Photoshop without being converted to DNG.  I've combed the support community questions for over a year now, am tech support oriented, and am ready to throw in the towel.  I've had this same problem with previous system versions and camera raw versions, so I know the solution lies with neither of the two.

I'm having exactly the same issue and I posted on Adobe's site and dpreview and StackExchange but nobody has the final answer. I can see thumbnail previews in finder with ALL my various Raw files (Olympus OMD EM1, Panasonic GH2 and GH3, and Nikon D5300) just fine but when I use the convert to DNG feature in Lightroom (latest version since I'm on the CC subscription), only the Nikon DNG files display a preview thumb in finder and neither the Oly or Panny DNG files display. The closest I got to an explanation is that, since the m4/3 cameras do their profiling in camera and Adobe doesn't have a profile for them, some of the info isn't converted into the DNG in those systems. The article I read about it was really about Aperture not being able to read the Adobe DNG files but it may also explain why Mac finder can't show preview thumbs.  Aperture 3: Some DNG images display as unsupported - Apple Support
If there is no way to get preview thumbs in finder with the converted RAW files from my GH3 then I'll forgo converting for now.
    Here is my Nikon DNG
And my Panny DNG (Oly is the same)
Panny RAW shows up just fine
    As does the Oly ORF

  • Camera raw plug in not showing up as an option in the file menu the plugin was updated?

I am trying to adjust the white balance using photoshop elements 11, all the information I have come across tells you how to do it using the camera raw plug in.  This has been updated and still I do not see it listed when I click on the file menu.  I take photos of antique gold lockets using a light house and even though the custom white balance is set on my camera the photos are still coming out too canary yellow.  I need to be able to adjust the colors so that they are more antique rose gold looking and have been reading different articles and videos on how other people adjust the colors and would like to try a couple of the ways I have seen but am unable as the camera raw plug in is not showing up as an option.  Any suggestions on how I can solve this problem would be most appreciated.  I have tried the quick fixes, color and contrast etc and not getting the results I am looking for... Please tell me what to do...

You never see it in the file menu. But if you go to File>Open As in windows you should be able to choose Camera Raw as the format.
On a mac it would be file>Open, choose the file, choose camera raw as the format>Open.
That's assuming these aren't raw files. If it's a raw file, just plain ol' file>Open and selecting a raw file should open the file in the converter.

  • Automatic Lens Correction in the Camera Raw Correction Panel not showing

I have just migrated my CS5 to another computer. However to my surprise II could not see automatic Lens Correction option in my Lens Correction Panel of Camera Raw as in then past. All i got was option for Chromatic Aberration etc.
How do I get the software to switch to Automatic Lens Correction in the Camera Raw Correction Panel?
    Thanks.

I hope it's just as simple as this:  Did you click on the little Profile tab?

  • Camera raw 5.7 not showing as installed

    Hi
Some problems installing camera raw 5.7 in CS4 photoshop.
    1. I tried the 5.7 manual installation download link at adobe - but it appears to be not working.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4680&fileID=4364
    2. I tried the 5.7 installer / updater dmg link - It downloaded the dmg without problems. However while it was installing, i canceled the installation half way through because i thought something was wrong because it seemed to be taking along time. ( I dont think anything was wrong in retrospect)
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4682&fileID=4362
    So:
I tried to reinstall 5.7 using the 5.7 installer updater dmg again but it kept detecting that a 5.7 was already installed and asking me to quit.
However i checked the plugin folder (libary/app support/adobe/plug-ins/CS4//file formats/) the version is still 5.6. Also if i opened acr from bridge it opened a version 5.6.
    3. I cleared out all the old plugin versions and tried to reinstall again using the 5.7 updater but it was still saying 5.7 is already installed. What ever i did this was the result i got.
    4. I read this forum and took the advice of downloading 5.7 via the Bridge help menu > updates . I selected 5.7 from the update list & it appeared to be working and to be updating to 5.7. However when i again check the plugin folder (libary/app support/adobe/plug-ins/CS4//file formats/) the version is still 5.6. Also  if i opened acr from bridge it opened a version 5.6.
Could do with a little guidance because something is stopping the 5.7 installer from re-installing even though the actual plugin 5.7 does not exist.
    Thanks for your feedback folks

    Hi
    referring to part 1
the link to the manual installation on the adobe website does not appear to be working :
The 'download now' button in this link:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4680&fileID=4364
The 'download now' button in that link above takes me to a page which says :
"The requested URL /pub/adobedobe/photoshop/cameraraw/mac/5.x/Camera_Raw_5_7.dmg was not found on this server."
    at URL>  http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobedobe/photoshop/cameraraw/mac/5.x/Camera_Raw_5_7.dmg
It is that link to the manual installation version of 5.7 that is not working and which could not result in me downloading any dmg.
For the 2nd link i indicated in the previous post - the 5.7 installer/ updater software link :
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4682&fileID=4362
I was able to download a dmg . However i then had the problems i indicated.
    thanks again

  • The camera raw filter does not show up on the filter drop list on Photoshop CC

I am trying to determine why this is the case.  If anyone knows I would appreciate you help.  So far everything else seems to work.

Specifically, you won't see the new features just announced until June 17, when Adobe releases Photoshop CC 14.0.  Likely you have 13.1, which is current right now.

  • Camera Raw 8.4 does not show  profiles for my Sony A850.

Camera Raw 8.4 does not show the profiles for my Sony A850. The camera profiles are in the directory, Camera Raw recognizes the photo as being from my A850 in the Camera Raw banner, but the only profile available is Adobe Standard. This all used to work OK a few months ago.

I don’t see any of these on either my Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer in that normal ACR profiles location.  Both have PS-CC/ACR8.4 so maybe they used to be there and were removed?
However, if they are valid profiles you can probably get them to work by putting them in the user-customer-profiles folder:
    %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles
    %APPDATA% = C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming
I have over a dozen custom-created profiles in this folder and both Photoshop and Lightroom see them all.
A few years back it wasn't this way, but more recently Adobe recognizes which profiles are theirs and will ignore any others in the Adobe profile area, but it expects to see others in the user-custom-profile area, so move the .dcp files over there.
Did your A850 profiles come from a third party like these:

I have been using the new version of ACR with PS6 and have been able to open the D750 files, now I'm stuck.

You were probably using the Release Candidate version of camera raw 8.7, which one gets from Adobe Labs.

Could you check inBridge Preferences under start up scripts if you have at
least checkmarks in front of Adobe Bridge and Photoshop:

Here is a copy of the ACR plug in instructions:

    1. Exit Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Bridge.
    2. Open the download file and double-click CameraProfiles.dmg and follow

    3. Open the Finder.
    4. Navigate to the root of the local disk (not the user¹s home folder).
    5. Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS4/File Formats.

    Hi
When I choose camera raw with the circular icon in the top right hand corner of the bridge CS6 layout I get a warning saying 'Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camerea Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.' I have tried launching bridge in all the other Adobe products, uninstalling all trial versions from my computer and reinstalling all adobe cloud products, but still this warning comes up and I can't open jpeg and till images with Camera Raw as I did with CC5. Help please!!

I see that this issue was posted in the Bridge forum here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4790707#4790707.

  • Camera Raw editing is not enabled - ACR5.4 Vista 64bit

When I use Bridge, and right click and select to open a raw file in Camera Raw, I get this message:
"Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature".
There is no problem in Bridge when opening a raw file in Camera Raw when just Open With (PS) or double-clicking
I have seen many have the same problem, and I have tried most of the hints found in forums, but no luck.
I running Windows Vista 64bit. Installed and activated Photoshop CS4 in the standard directories and installed ACR 5.4 manually as described by Adobe by copy the plugin files to folders:
    Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats\
    Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats\
There are no other files in this 2 directories.
I have tried purging cache, and have closed both Brigde and Photoshop and startet Bridge from Photoshop by using -file, -browse in Bridge. And still the same problem.
There are no errors in the files alm.log and amt.log in %temp% directory.
    Thanks for any help

I have just upgraded to Win 7 64bit and have had a similar problem with getting "Camera Raw editing is not enabled" in Bridge
I had installed CS4 as a trial whilst I tested that my install of Win 7 was OK
When I activated CS4 I was using CS4 64 bit and never got the "I have deactivated the software from another machine" question
I tried lost of things to get Camera Raw editing in Bridge and all failed.
When I tried CS4 32 bit it wanted to activate the software - it  asked the "I have deactivated the software from another machine" question and then rejected the activation as two PC were using the key.
I deactivated CS4 from the 64bit side and removed the key
Then I activated using CS4 32bit - all seems OK now
    Hope this works for you

    Hi,
Open Adobe Photoshop first. Open a Camera Raw file in Photoshop.
Then open Bridge from within Photoshop from File> Browse in Bridge.
Then try to open Raw files in Bridge. That should work.
We need to launch the parent product of Bridge first ( in this case Photoshop). Then we need to open the images in Bridge and it should work normally.

  • Camera Raw Editing is not enabled strikes again

Hello everyone, I've always open raw files from bridge in ACR, since last evening, suddenly, while I am trying to open an image in  camera raw I keep getting an error message that  reads " Camera Raw editing is not  enabled.  Camera Raw editing required that a qualifying product  has been launched at least once to enable this feature." At last I cannot open files in ACR from Bridge at all. After a search in the net I've seen that it seems to be a rather common trouble but none of the solutions I've found (I've read of all in this forum) works for me. Did someone found a final solution to it? Im going crazy traying to understand what is that qualifying product in the message.
    Regards
    Marco

FWIW, this has happened to me twice as a result of a nightmare computer upgrade. I had to change my motherboard and CPU several times and twice, these different combinations caused Adobe activation to become confused. I got an error about number of activations exceeded and also this error about Camera Raw editing is not enabled. How I solved it:
    a) Called Adobe Support who were able to reset the number of activations, activated Creative Suite.
    b) Exit all open Adobe applications and restart them, it worked.
This is a minor varation on the previous user's comment, where deactivation/activation worked. I believe that Adobe Support did the deactivation.
It would be nice if Adobe activation were smarter; I've only ever had one computer, never two and certainly never three.
