Camera RAW 6.1 Installation Problem

When trying to run the 6.1 updates on Windows XP I get the error "Error loading Updater Workflow"
Any suggestions?

When trying to install camera-raw-6.1 on my mac, I get
"You are already running the adobe Applications Manager".
"Please close all instances of Adobe Application Manager in order to continue with this installation"
Duuhhh. the applications-manager is NOT running. Nor are any adobe applications.

Your post is not a model of clarity.
At what stage of doing what does this "Quit" message appear?
It sounds as if you have installed the plug-in incorrectly. Did you follow the instructions exactly?
The slightest false step and you are in trouble.

Camera Raw 8.2 installation problem

I am running PS 6.0 (13.0.1). Have downloaded CR 8.2 and DNG Converter and installed, yet About Plug-in and System Information lists CR 8.1. When I select Update, the list that appears has a checked box for PS CR 7.2 as current despite having restarted the computer. Any advice?

Pb with Camera raw 6.6 installer on Element 10 editor for mac

Hello i cannot intall the Camera raw 6.6 updater on my PS element 10 editor (from Apple Store)
The patch installer told me thet the patch cannot be applicated. Why ?
Any way to change that. May I install in a different way ?

Camera Raw 6.7 installation not working with Photoshop CS5.1

I have been trying to upgrade Camera Raw to 6.7 on my windows 7(32) machine running CS5.1.
It will not update via Help>Update (indicates download problem) or manually using the downloaded file and AdobePatchInstaller.exe (indicates "an error installing the update")
I have tried Adobe support adviser but this was of little help.
Also tried running Photoshop as Administrator.
Can anyone help?

I don't know why your Help - Updates feature shouldn't be working; it worked for me, and it would disturb me if it didn't work, but to jump to the solution to your issue, you should be able to install the update manually by carefully following the instructions that go with the download you can find here:

Make sure you unzip the contents of the file to a folder on your computer before running the installer.

Camera Raw 8.3 download problem?

I have the 610 so attempted to download Camera Raw 8.3. First attempt a file downloaded but when I attempted to load it I got message from PhotoShop "
Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file."
2nd attempt, when I selected to download Camera Raw 8.3 for CS6 (after some time) I got Download Error.
Anyone download successfully? What should I do to download?

I have both ACR 8.3 RC CC and ACR 8.3 RC CS6 installed and both work ok with their respective Photoshop versions, on my Windows 7 computer.
What does Help (or LR) / About / Plug-In / Camera Raw… show for a version number and is there more than one version of Camera Raw shown as installed?
Mac people are having a problem with the installer, since it is not a DMG, but I haven’t seen that for Windows, other than maybe getting the CC and CS6 versions mixed up.
It would help to know what OS you’re running and what version of Photoshop you have.

Trying to update PS CS5 to camera raw 6.7 "installation failed" .

When using the downloaded zip version 6.7 or 6.71 from the adobe site the error message is simply "installation failed". When trying to update from within Photoshop itself the message reads "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update   There was an error downloading this update. please quit and try again later. Win XP sp2. What now?

Thanks for the link Jeff. The installer said to check the log files but gave no clue where to find them. There's PS files scattered all over the computer. if I'd looked for a hundred years I would''ve never found them. There were 2: This 1st one a plain text .log tilled "Adobe Setup Error.log"-

Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 Installation Failure

From Adobe Bridge CS5, I enter Help, then Updates.
Adobe Application Manager informs me that I can update Adobe Camera Raw to 6.7.
I click to install, the software is downloaded tha I get an Installation Failure message.
When I click on 'Customer Support' on the screen, I am directed to 'http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html'.
At no point during the installation was I asked for the serial number.

Please confirm your ACR version from Help->About Plugin->Camera Raw and provide us with the following logs.
You can find them at:
ACR Installer logs
For Mac:
Library\Logs\Adobe\Installer
For Win:
Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers
AAM logs
For Mac:
/Volumes/%Volume Name%/Users/%Username%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0
For Win:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater
You can zip all the files together and send us through mail. This would help us in finding the root cause.

What kind of TIFFs? Are they multi-layered, for instance? ACR will not open layered files.

Photoshop CC Camera RAW and 32bit files problem

The new Camera RAW from Photoshop CC has problem with 32bit EXR,HDR files when camera calibration is set to 2012 mode. Very bright tones like specular highlights are flattened and there is no possibility to bring them back. Old modes (2010, 2003) are working fine.

Hi Teresa, you may have worked this out already? but i just downloaded Photoshop CC and I too used the recovery and fill light buttons and couldnt see them in the raw processing window... HOWEVER!! i did some research and they are available!! YAY, you can toggle between the latest and the older layout... and the recovery and fill optoins ARE there... the link explains it... but when you open some raw files... on the right you should see a little camera - camera calibration button when you click on there the first drop down PROCESS - change to 2012 mode and then click back to the BASIC processing wheel and they will be there... cheers Danni

Camera Raw 6.3 Installation Fails

This week... purchased and installed CS5 and LR3… neither will open the Nikon D7000 raw images.
I went and looked in my CS5 and the Camera Raw is V6.0.0.205 so it needs an update for the D7000.
Found the update- Camera Raw 6.3.
Tried to install the Camera Raw 6.3 Update but received this error message:

Installation failed
It doesn’t say why or what to do next except find customer support.
This is incredibly aggravating.
I've found many of the same complaints on various discussions and blogs but no solutions mentioned.
Is there a fix or do I ditch Adobe?

Hi Spencer,
I have gone through your logs and it seems that there is a issue with Mac. It is not allowing you to install patch files.
Kindly follow the below steps to make sure your updates work fine:-
1) Please verify if there is a file not a folder by name Adobe in /Applications ,
2) Delete the file if it exist.
3) Restart your Mac
4) Launch PS
5) Go to Help - Updates - Preferences and make sure the box for ACR is checked.
6) Check for Updates
7) Select Camera Raw 6.3 update, Click on Update
8) Mac will ask you to enter your Password for the logged account. Enter the password.(Make sure you have full privileges)
9) Quit PS and let the updater run.
10) Quit Updater after successful installation
11) Verify ACR
ACR update should work fine now, if it still does not work, we can setup a connect session in order to analyze the issue on your machine.

Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update Problems

When I attempted the Photoshop update for Camera Raw 6.7, it failed and the Customer Support link provided this web page (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html) which said that there was an issue with my serial number. However, I did not get any notificaiton of the serial number issue during the attempted install, so I have no way of addressing the issue. Is there a workaround as this update patches a serious vulnerability in Photoshop.
