Camera Raw 7.4 Error Message - Unresolved

I have LR 4.4 & PS CS5 running on a win 7 platform with 64bit OS and whenever I attempt to work on panorama files I get an error message about ACR 7.4. I have downloaded and installed the acr 7.4 but I still get the message.  Someone posted that 7.4 is for PS CS6.  If that is the case, why do I continually get this message and if ACR 7.4 is not the program I need, how do I uninstall it to resolve this issue.
ANY help would be appreciated.
THX

Well I'd leave it an hour or two and try again. But if you continually get that message then you may need to uninstall and reinstall PSE11 (this won't affect your photos or catalogs).
You could always install the trial version of PSE12 and update it to ACR 8.2. And although not officially condoned it is not too difficult to find instructions on how you can then copy ACR8.2 to PSE11.

  • Camera-raw brush-tool error

Camera-raw version 6.3.0.79 in CS5 problem. When using the brush tool to slightly darken or brighten a part of an image I get digital squares or bars. Usually 1 inch by several inch darken or lighter than the original. Files are CR2 from Canon 5D mark II's.  If I edit the picture again the problem doesn't occur or occurs in a different spot. I work on a 6 month old 15" macbookpro, OS 10.7.4, 2.2GHz intel i7, 8GB ram. More than 100GB free space on the hard drive. Many thanks for thinking with me on this. Above an example, it happens more or less on 30% of the images I process.

Thank you so much for answering.
I've actually tried to update camera-raw but run into another problem. When trying to open the downloaded dmg file I get an error message:
'ongeldig controlegetal' in Dutch which I believe is "checksum invalid" in English Mac OS
I got the same error when downloading Canon's DPP and the Adobe Application manager yesterday.
I'm trying to download Mac Os 10.7.5 right now. I live in a country with very slow internet (Afghanistan) and during downloading the internet fails from time to time not sure if this is related.
Below I've attached another example, this is about 50% of the original image..
    Thanks again

  • Camera Raw not working/errors

Hey! I can't install camera raw. I've seen the same problems on the forum already, but unanswered. I get errors: "This is not the right kind of document" "Camera Raw editing is not enabled" I have creative design suite CS4, also bridge cs6. Ive tried uninstalling reinstalling photoshop. When i try both the camera raw 6_4 and 6_5 camera raw update they say "Update failed". When i try to install the Camera Raw 5.2, it gives me an error  "Error opening file for  writing: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\AdobeStandard\(all camera types).dcp Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file

ACR is Adobe Camera Raw. To open RAW from T3i you'll need ACR 6.4. But unfortunately you cannot install ACR 6.4 for Photoshop CS4. ACR versions of 6.x is CS5 and above only.
    I'd suggest three options:
    1. Upgrade to Photoshop CS6. You can now upgrade standalone applications from within Creative Suite. You need not have to upgrade the entire Creative Suite.
    2. Get Adobe Lightroom - much cheaper updates and works just fine
    3. The most feasible option - Use DNG Converter 6.3 to convert your files, then open them up with Photoshop CS4

  • Camera RAW update with errors

I am running CS6 on a Macbook Pro.  Photoshop cannot read camera raw files from my new Canon 6D.  I went through the update process and as expected I needed a newer version of ACR.  I completed the update process but with errors.  Camera Raw was not updated.  I was advised to try again.  However, when I attempt to go through the update process again I am told that all apps are up to date.  How can I complete/fix this update?

    @ randyhat1,
This is really unfortunate that you are facing issues with  ACR updates.
Please verify the current version of ACR on your system.
Also provide us with the following logs.
    You can find them at:
    ACR  Installer logs
    For Mac:
    Library\Logs\Adobe\Installer
    AAM logs
    For Mac:
    /Volumes/%Volume Name%/Users/%Username%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0
You can zip all the files together and send us through mail. This would help us in finding the root cause.
We can setup a connect session for resolving the issue, What time frame would suit you for connect session? Do let me know accordingly I would send you the request.
Appreciate your help. Apologize for the inconvenience.

Have you tried to download and install directly from Adobe, instead of using the Updater in PS?

  • PC Cam 750 & PhotoShop Elements Error Message P0230bGR.dll

My son had a PC Cam 750 installed on my computer. He is now in Japan (with the camera) and I thought I uninstalled the Creative software from my machine. However, when I open PhotoShop Elements, I get a fail to start error message about P0230bGR.dll not found. A number of other PhotoShop users seem to think this message has to do with a plug-in installed by the Creative Software, and that when I uninstalled the Creative PC Cam software, the plug-in can't start. Can someone verify this? And if so, which plug-in and how can I remove it. I do not have the PC Cam installation CD. Thanks. mzz

PSE4 is quite old. What computer system are you running it on?

  • Installing camera raw 6.7 - "error loading updater workflow"

This is what happens when I try to install camera raw 6.7 in Windows 7.  Anyone have this problem and have discovered how to fix it?  I have tried shutting the computer down and restarting, tried re-downloading several times, no luck.  I was able to install the Adobe DNG converter from the same page on Adobe Labs without difficulty.  Any suggestions? My computer guys just threw up their hands and laughed at me...LOL.

Try running the Application Manager update by downloading the update installer from the below website:
    For Mac:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
    For Win:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
Once the update is applied, restart the machine, and then try to launch updater again, see if this works??

  • I attached my perfectly functioning iPhone 4 to my computer to update and came back to an error message saying I have to do a factory restore which cause me to lose everything recent because I'm not even sure that the backup completed correctly

I left my iPhone attached to my computer to do an update and now I can't use the phone at all.  It was taking so long I left it, when I came back there was an erroe message saying that I need to do a factory restore on the phone.  It wasn functioning perfectly before I attached it to iTunes to do the update and now since I can't even be sure that the back up completed, I'm faced with losing a lot of stuff recently added to my phone.
I don't want to do a restore, I just want my phone back to how it was this afternoon before I connected it to iTunes.

If the screen shows a plug going to itunes, then you have no choice,  It's in recovery mode.  You'll be given the chance to restore from a backup either from itunes or icloud.
I assume when you got the message to update (was this for the ios or update some apps?), that was before the device when dead.  At any rate, doing a restore does not change the ios.

  • Camera in Use iChat error message

When I try to initiate an iChat video chat, I get this message:
    Camera in Use
Your camera appears to be in use by another application. Please quit any other application that might be using the camera.
This was the first time I'd tried to access the webcam since I turned on the computer. The only other program that's open that access the webcam is Skype. I've also heard that when people try to initiate a video chat with me they are told that the camera is in use.
I've been using iChat for years; this problem just started happening within the last two weeks.
    Thanksd!

    Umm,
Go to System Preferences > Accounts > Your account > Login Items and see if Flash is listed there.
It may pay to try turning Off Flash in your Browser as a Test for a few minutes (i.e not permanently)

  • Cannot open in camera raw

I have 4 psd files I just made.
In bridge, right click has no open in camera raw option. Also no open in camera raw from menu.
Last resort: from photoshop open, change dropdown to camera raw -- but then error message comes up:
"Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file"
    thanks!

I have Photoshop set up to Always Maximize Compatibility, myself.
This enables the use of some 3rd party viewers (e.g., IrfanView), and helps better ensure any PSD will be editable by more different software/versions.  That said, most "Never" mode saves can actually be opened by an older version of Photoshop, as long as features not available in the older version have not been used.
I think the data compression may be better when set to Never, because even a flat Background-only file will make a smaller PSD file when set to Never.  Some say it's faster, too.
However big disks are cheap, computers are faster than ever, and I hate closing off options that might mean I "can't get there from here" some day in a situation I just haven't anticipated.
    But that's just my preference.
A single layer Background-only file can be opened with Camera Raw even if saved with "Never Maximize Compatibility".  A multi-layer file cannot.  So yes, if you flatten the file you can keep the "Never" setting.
    -Noel
P.S., the "flattened composite" created by saving a compatible PSD is not really a preview - I used the wrong word before.  It's what you'd get with Layer - Flatten, and has all the quality thereof.

  • Using Photoshop CC I cannot save images to folder from Camera Raw as Tif. I get message 'write permission error'. I am using Widows 7 Professional.

I have just changed to Photoshop CC from CS4 and cannot now save images from Camera Raw. I get message 'write permission error'. I assume there is some permissions setting which did not exist with CS4.
I cannot progress unless I revert to CS4. What am I failing to do?

See if the suggestions, here, help, although this was back with CS6-cloud, not CC, so may not apply 100%:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4758115
I'd suggest that rather than deleting the file, you move it out of the folder to somewhere else, in case things get worse and you need to put it back.
I found this by Googling the error message.
If you can't figure it out, you might post in the "Downloading, Installing and Set Up" or "Adobe Creative Cloud" forums  since it seems to be related to the Cloud updates, and not necessarily ACR plug-in functionality, and I've seen India support people actually tackle problems posted there, which rarely happens in the ACR forum, although an ACR engineer may sometimes pop in to answer questions, they'd be less likely to know how to fix deployment issues.
