Camera raw 7.4 will not open the compatible D800 NEF Raw files (Win7). D300 NEF files open OK.
I seem to remember seeing an article that stated i would have to uninstall and re-install CS6 Photoshop completely and re-install again. However I cannot find this article now.
If the above is true, having PS version CS4 with update CS5 & 6 installed, would i have to remove all PS versions.
Photoshop error message just states download latetest software version, which i have done with ACR 7.4 nd ACR 8 which did not open file either.
Adobe DNG runs OK but i would rather deal with the original file in ACR rather than adding an additional step with more files to keep track of.
Is there a way of uninstalling all versions of ACR, cleaning system and re-installing ACR, assuming the fault lies with ACR?
Anyone have any answers?

Half an hour after posting this query (In the wrong forum - Downloading, Installing, Setting Up) I resolved the issue. The fault lies with Nikon Transfer.
Nikon Transfer corrupts the D800 NEF files. Apparently Nikon Transfer is well known for causing errors.
Drag & dropping the files direct from the cameras memory card onto your hard drive and everything works fine.
Nikon Transfer has now been assigned to the dust bin!

Unfortunately your software pre-dates the camera. Consider buying PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the latest free DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in PSE11 (keep your NEF originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

I have about 30 Apple TV Units and our IT Director will not allow the appropriate TCP and UDP ports to be opened on the district WAN. When our teachers try to log on to Apple TV to broadcast lessons, websites, etc., they are booted off the network after about 20 minutes.
Any ideas for how I might solve this without having to hard-wire the Apple TV Units?Honestly, you do not.
Either the IT director will cave and allow the appropriate ports or it doesn't work.
Hard wiring the ATVs will not rectify the problem. -

I shooting in raw format on a Nikon d5300,but elements can not convert the

The D5300 requires camera raw 8.3 which is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 11
You can either
1) Buy the latest version of Photoshop Elements
2) Use the free Adobe DNG converter to take the NEF files and converts them to DNG files. The DNG files can then be processed by Photoshop Elements 11

I have just purchased a Canon 7d Mk2 but the raw files will not open in Cs5 and downloads of Adobe Camera Raw 8.7 will not install. What can I do?
Alternatively, install & use RawTherapee instead to develop your raw files instead (free and open source).

I have Photoshop CS5.1 (bought in 2011). The photoshop Camera Raw plug-in is not recognizing the format of my new Nikon D610. I updated the version of my Camera Raw plug in and am still getting this message when trying to open images in photoshop. Please help.
This link shows that ACR 8.3 supports the Nikon D610 and 6.7.1 was the final version for CS5.

So you can upgrade to CS6 and ACR 8.7.1
or using the DNG converter, convert your Nikon raw files to dng format to open in CS5.

I have a sony rx100 and my version of lightroom (4) will not recognize the raw (.ARW) files. Please help!
I have version 4.4.1 on my computer now, which is functioning properly - but does not read the .ARW files. Your next option is to upgrade photoshop. If you can't afford the full version (less than $20/month) you could get elements, it uses the latest version of camera raw, but I think it is a stripped down version though.

The Adobe auto updater is pretty decent in CS6. Just go to the Photoshop Help menu > Updates.
You will be able to update ACR, Photoshop and Bridge right there, if there are in fact updates available. -
I have a Canon 70 D. Lightroom will not recognize the raw CR2 file. Don;t know if I need an additional plug in to the tether plug in for canon, or how to get one. Can anyone help?

My audio files no longer sync to the in the 5d in camera audio. It did when I bought the program but no longer does I reinstalled and it still will not sync the files recorded on the H4N with the Canon 5D Mark II Camera.
The program used to import and transcode the Can 5D footage but no longer does. The program freezes often and looses my projects as well. iPhoto will not load the iPhoto library. When I select "show all windows" the library does appear but cannot open it. I am on version 8.1.2 and using Maverick.
I was able to get it fixed. I had received some responses and they had me
recreate the library I believe. It's been a while so I cant remember
exactly what I did. I have since upgraded to the latest i photo version and
have had no problems with it.
