Camera Raw 8.2 in PS CS6 doesn't recognise new lens & camera profiles

I recently upgraded from PS CS5 to PS CS6 and have run the latest software updates for OSX 10.7.5 (ie PS CS6 13.05 and ACR 8.2.0.94).  My old Canon 7D profiles are still available but, strangely, the camera and lens profiles I expected to see for the Canon 6D and Ricoh GR (among other late models) aren't shown in Camera Raw or PS Lens Correction Filters.  Is this a known issue and/or is there a fix?
BTW - I can see some profiles were downloaded to HD:Library/Application Support/Adobe etc - were they meant to have gone someplace else?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Application Support location is for Camera-Raw-Installed profiles.
The Users location is for user-downloaded or user-created lens profiles.  You can download community-supplied profiles with the lens-profile-downloader available at Adobe.com.
In the past, user-downloaded and user-created profiles could all be mixed into the Application Support folder and be found, but some time back, Adobe started recognizing only their installed profiles in the Application Support area and required downloaded profiles to be in the Users area.  This may be what has happened in your case.
When you asked your question, you used the term Downloaded, so I think Eric Chan thought you meant non-Adobe-installed profiles and gave the folder for user-installed profiles.
If you currently have user-installed profiles mixed in with your Adobe-installed profiles in the Application Support folder—they may have an older date/timestamp, then just move them from where you found them to the Users folder location Eric mentioned.
Another wrinkle is that raw and non-raw profiles are distinct, as well, so when you’re expecting to see lenses supported, make sure you’re looking at a raw file from the camera in question, not a JPG.  Adobe rarely supplies JPG-lens profiles.

  • MacBook Pro doesn't recognise new Internal HDD

Hi there, I was hoping to get some help on this ...
I purchased a WD Scorpio Blue 750GB internal HDD and Apricorn kit and used SuperDuper to clone my current internal HDD. The clone copy worked fine and I can boot the OS via the new WD HDD if it’s connected via USB, but when I install it inside, the Macbook doesn’t recognise it and a folder with a blinking ‘?’ appears.
I’ve tried booting up from the disk utility on start up to hopefully select it and that doesn’t work either as it cannot find the HDD.
I’ve tried booting up from disk utility and using my Time Machine back-ups to copy over the new WD HDD but it doesn’t recognise the new internal HDD either.
I did format it before I cloned the new drive to be OS Extended (Journaled) but I didn’t make multiple partitions and not sure if this is a step I'm missing.
When I put the old HDD back in it boots fine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
    Cheers, Sam

Didn't matter how many times I reformatted, partitioned mapped the HDD when it was connected externally, the issue was was the Super Duper clone. (even though it would start up as an external start up disk.)
Had to install the new HDD internally and reformat it from boot up through Disk Utility then do a restore from a previous Time Machine back up.
    Works fine now, no issues.

  • Lightroom new download doesn't recognise my special printer profile

I loved every second on the beta version of LIGHTROOM and happily used a special printer profile for Canon Pixma MP950.
Now,I downloaded the new Lightroom and it doesn't recognize or accept my profile. Instead it uses a generic BJ Color Printer Profile 2000 or the profile for Canon MP 950(which I didn't like).
The difference seems to be that previously I was able to select "colorsync" under "colorsync" during setup. Now the only option is "standard". If I choose "none" under "Color Correction" , the program chooses "BJ Color Printer Profile 2000". If I choose "Colorsync" the program gives me the "Canon MP950 PR!" profile.
Could you ,please. advice me how to proceed. I was so satisfied with the beta and so disappointed with the new download.

Okay, I have successfully printed a test page frm the printer itself. It did work correctly with my PC and connected to the PC network that I had previously set up, so I'm pretty sure that ther printer itself is good in terms of being able to print and also it's network capabilities. I also double checked the network password that I entered when I connected the printer to the time capsule network and it said that it did set up a connection point correctly. After I did this I tried to print something from the mac again and it simply isn't bringing up the printer details as already there, or when I try to add a new printer.
So now I'm at a brick wall and have no idea how to get through / over / round it. Please help anyone.

  • RAW from my Sony NEX-5R doesn't work - the lens correction at 16mm doesn't exist

    Hi guys,
i have a big problem with the RAW's of my Sony NEX-5R. When i take a picture with my Kit-Lens at 16mm it looks so bad an their is no lens correction. I tried serval thinks. Reinstalled Aperture; create a new libary, etc. but nothing works. I don't want so switsh to an other program, so maybe somebody could help me.
    Here is a example:

I had hopes with this : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5358 since it was last updated quite recently (17th of Jan 2014)
But unfortunately, this is not true.
My pictures taken with my NEX-6 and the 16-50mm lens are still distorted, even though I updated all I could, and I always imported my RAW pictures directly from my camera to Aperture...
I hope an update will fix this quite soon...

  • Adobe CS6 doesn't read the new Canon 7d Mark 2 Raw format.

    Hi.
I bought the new Canon Eos 7d Mark 2, but Adobe CS6 doesn't read the new RAW-format. I can't find any helpful information. Does a plug in already exist? Thanks for any helpful information.
    Best regards, Jean-Paul

Adobe has not yet issued an updated Camera Raw plugin to read 7D Mark II Raw files.
Lots of people waiting for it. See Adobe Camera Raw
In the meantime, use the Canon DPP software, save as TIFF then open in Photoshop.

  • Camera Raw Preferences in Adobe Bridge CS6

I can click on Camera Raw Preferences from the Adobe CS6 Menu, but nothing happens. No error meesages come up, but nothing happens.
I recently installed ACR7.3. I did have some problems getting ACR7.3 installed. The updater from Photoshop and Bridge didn't seem to install it.  I had to download ACR7 and install it.
After the successful install of ACR7.3,  I can double click on an image in Adobe Bridge CS6 and it will open the raw image in ACR7.3 in Photoshop CS6.
The other annoyance is that the images for my RAW files for my Panasonci GH3 don't display in Adobe Bridge. They appear as a blank icon
    I am running on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 64 bit
    Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.0.399
    Adobe Camera Raw 7.3.0.71
    Adobe PS C6 13.0.4  x64
I do have older versions of Adobe CS5 and CS4 that I have never removed. I've never had problems before. And didn't need the space so I just left them.
Any ideas of why Adobe Bridge CS6 and ACR7.3 aren't in sync? - Thanks Rod

Ok, everything was ok until I rebooted my machine. Now when I open Adobe Bridge CS6, The Raw images show up initially. But when Adobe Bridge finally gives me control, the images have become blank icons again. I've tried the CommandOptionShift and it does not help.  It was fine for two weeks and now I can't get the raw images to stay.
Here is what I see as Adobe Opens the older. The Raw images are viewable.
Now this is how they look after Adobe Bridge has finished opening and I can click on something:
Where do I go from here?

  • I just upgraded to Photoshop cs6 so that my new camera (Nikon D7100) would work in Camera Raw.  However, it will not download from the  "Update" option in CS6.

I just upgraded to Photoshop cs6 so that my new camera (Nikon D7100) would work in Camera Raw  (I was told that the Camera Raw update 8.3, which is available for CS6, included this camera).  However, it will not download from the  "Update" option in CS6.  I have tried over 10 times - it just says update is not working. and I cannot find an alternate way of downloading this file. So I still can use my camera, even thought I paid to upgrade.  HELP please.

What OS do you have?  You say you have explained what you had (computer/opsys) but I honestly don't see it here.  If you had mentioned that my advice would have been different; I believe you can only upgrade as far as Camera Raw 8.3 on an older Windows system.  There is more information here (look specifically for the "Revert to 8.3 ..." titles).
Adobe Camera Raw Help | Camera Raw/DNG Converter 8.4 on Mac OS 10.6, Windows XP, and Vista
What you've done/written in your last post confuses things further, unfortunately.  Photoshop 13.1 is strictly a Creative Cloud version.  The highest you can go is Photoshop CS6 13.0.1.3 with perpetual license.
And as far as I can recall, that version can work on Windows back to XP:
    System requirements | Photoshop
I don't think you're out of luck, but you seem to be leaping into doing things without having the full story, and are jumping to conclusions a bit too quickly.
Here's what I suggest you try:
    1.  Remove Photoshop entirely with the Creative Suite Removal Tool:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    2.  Install Photoshop CS6 from your original media or from here:
    Download CS6 products
    3.  Update the application using its own Help - Updates process.  That really should get you the latest Camera Raw version that will work.  If that does not bring you a Camera Raw that works with your Nikon, use the "Revert to 8.3" instructions above.

  • My auto updates are not working. I cannot find where to download Camera Raw 8.1 for Photoshop CS6.

My auto updates are not working! I cannot find where to download Camera Raw 8.1 for Photoshop CS6 (Windows 8 64 bit). My Camera Raw is now at 7.1. I had the online Adobe folks tell me to just download all updates manually. That's great, yet I cannot find camera raw 8.1 to download...
    Please help.
    Thanks, Janet

  • Update of Camera Raw 7.2 for Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.2 - now Bad color

Did the auto update of Camera Raw 7.2 to Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.2 now the color is green and flat in all images after I save them. I do use a Nikon Camera profile and lens correction. Everything was working fine until the 7.2 update. Now the only way to save correctly is to Save for Web. Where do I match the color/profiles?
    Mig

Color Settings are :     RGB     sRGB IEC61966-2.1
                                       CMYK     U.S.Web Cooated (SWOP) v2
Color Management:     All say preserve embedded profile
I had marked the Profile mismatch boxes to see if I got an error message, but I never did, so I cleared them again.
    Conversion Options:     Engine     Adobe
                                                Intent     Relative Colorimetric
Advanced Control     Only one checked iis Blend Text Colors using Gamma at 1.45
As far as what settings do I open images with.  File > Open and find the file. During the edit process everything looks perfect - only after I save is the file trashed.
Under Preferences: File Handling > File Compatibilty > checked are Prefer Adobe Camera Raw for Supportred files
Everything has been fine for months with PS CS6 & Lightroom 4.2 & Colorchecker software profiles, until the Raw Camera update. And I can still save perfect images as long as I save they with the File > Save for Web.

  • I am trying to download the Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 upgrade for CS6.  The files will not unzip.

I am trying to download the Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 upgrade.  The zipped files download, but when I try to extract the zipped files, I get an error message saying that there is already a file with the same name as the folder name I specified, and that I should specify a different name.  The four zipped components are META-INF [Folder], payloads [Folder], AdobePatchInstaller [Application file\, and payloads [File].  Evidently, there is a conflict between the payloads folder and the payloads file, but I cannot be sure.  All filenames came from the download.

Are you using CS6 applications ? Camera Raw 7.1 is only compatible with CS6 applications. Try this as mentioned on http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5391
For Photoshop CS6 and Creative Suite 6 customers, we recommend that you install Camera Raw 7.1 by selecting Updates from the Help menu and follow the on-screen dialogs to download and install the latest available Camera Raw update. You can also click the link below to download an installer that replaces the existing Camera Raw plug-in with Camera Raw 7.1 for all CS6 applications.

  • Adobe Camera Raw 8.2 doesn't recognize Qpcard 203 camera profiles.

I just got a QPcard 203 to replace a lost colorchecker. I am able to use QPcalibration to create a camera profile and the file gets placed in the correct folder to be accessed by ACR's engine but it does not show up in the Camera Profile tab.
I have used dcpTool to inspect the profile since some users have reported a misnaming of the camera model inside the profile generated by QPcalibration, but the camera - a Nikon D5200 - seems to be correctly named.
I am at a loss at what to do next.

    Thank you, we'll follow up.

  • How do I install a camera profile into CS2 raw converter

I recently purchased a ColorChecker Passport and along with the software, created a camera profile for my Olympus E-300. The CCP software crated a camera profile that was duly placed into the c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\adobe\cameraraw\cameraprofile\olumpus e-300 Directory. When I open an olympus ORF raw file from cs2 or bridge, and select the calibrate tab the only thing that is available in the camera calibrate box is ACR 2.4. Clicking the drop down arrow doesn't show anything else.
I have turned off colormanagement in photoshop.
Can anybody tell me how I can get photo shop to recognize the new camera profile?
I have tried restarting photoshop and Bridge after the DCp file was added to teh directory.
    ACR verssion 3.7(?)
    OS is windows home 64
    8 gigs of ram
    Photoshop cs2 version 9.0.1
    adobe bridge cs2 version 1.0.4.6
I have also performed the same tasks on photoshop cs3 on my work computer with the same results.

The earliest version of Camera Raw to use DNG Profiles was version 4.6 in Photoshop CS3...so, you won't be able to use that DNG profile in ACR 3.7.

  • Can I create a RAW image Sequence in Photoshop CS6?

    Hello Photoshop Gurus,
I'm posting this because I've tried searching for an answer but I've only found one and it doesn't work for me.  I'm trying to create a RAW image sequence in Photoshop CS6 on a mac.  the box is greyed out.  The only answer I've found is to disable jpeg support in preferences but that didn't work.
Just trying to create a timelapse from an image sequence without having to spend $20/month renting After Effects!
    Thanks!
