Camera raw cannot open D750 raw file

Question

I have CS6 and the 8.7.1 version of Camera Raw installed and ACR will not open a Nikon D750 RAW file. Can anyone suggest another RAW converter to use instead of the Adobe product which is not up to the task.

There is something wrong with your installation of the ACR plug-in, of Photoshop or your OS (about which we know zilch! )
Raw files from that camera open just fine in ACR 8.7.1 running under Photoshop CS6v13.0.6 and OS X 10.7.5
