Camera Raw in Photoshop CC with a bug ?

I'm trying to edit some raw files from my Canon 6D with Camera Raw.
I change the exposure setting, but everytime I move to the next slide bar ( contrast ou highlights, or any other), the exposure setting goes back to zero.
What is happening ? I never experienced this before.
Can someone help ?
I have to deliver a big job....
Thank You

Hi Markos
I don't know what is going on, but we have had similar reports here before

If no one comes along with an answer, try contacting Jeff Tranberry directly via a PM.   It would also be OK to bump your own post if it goes another two or three hours without a response.

Unfortunately when Adobe products are restored from backup, especial CS4 and especially Mac, it breaks licensing.
There is a python script included in the license recovery kit that should work if you are familiar with Terminal.
If not, you must reinstall your CS4 suite.  You don't need to delete your preferences, so it should be the same as before.

  • Corrupted RAW in Bridge CC, Camera RAW and Photoshop CC

    Hello,
I am using up to date versions of Bridge CC, Camera RAW nad Photoshop CC and I have the following problem.
    - after transfer photos from Canon EOS 6D to computer thumbnails in Bridge seems to be fine
    - when I open file in Camera RAW file seem as below example
    - when I open file in Photoshop CC file seem as below example
    - when I open RAW in IrfanView image seems to be fine
    - I can open image in IrfanView, save as TIFF and in Bridge and Photoshop seems to be fine
    - the problem occurs randomly, about 5% of images from 500 images
Do you have similar problem? Does anybody have any idea?

The previews are ok in Bridge because it's just a preview jpg, not the actual RAW file.   I'm not sure why it would open OK in Irfanview.  I had a similar problem after a HDD crash and tried Irfanview with no more luck than any of the Adobe programs.
Have you tried Adobe's DNG converter to see if you get the same result?  Is this a consistent problem, or just this one time?

  • Camera Raw in Photoshop Elements 12

    Hello,
I read on chip.de that camera raw is freeware if you use a Adobe product. But the camera raw version in my photoshop elements 12 has only very few possibilities compared to the complete version. And there is also no update higher than 8.5. Is that correct?
So I need to buy Lightroom to have the full function of camera raw? Photoshop is to expensive for me as a hobby photographer.
    Greetings, Nina

Those are Lightroom tools for those who don't want to use a regular pixel editor like Photoshop or Elements which have much more powerful tools to do that.
The idea with the reduced set of feature in the ACR version of Elements is that features available in Elements are not necessary in ACR. You need to use the Elements editor more frequently than if you are working with Lightroom.

  • New Camera RAW in Photoshop CC 2014 won't open multiple Panasonic RAW (.rw2) at the same time from Windows Explorer.

New Camera RAW in Photoshop CC 2014 won't open multiple Panasonic RAW (.rw2) at the same time from Windows Explorer.  If I select 2 raw files and click "Open" Camera RAW will only open 1 raw, then when I click "Done" it will close and open the second, sequentially.  Previous Photoshop CC and RAW worked fine, it would open mulitple RAW at the same time.  How do I fix this?

If it worked for you that way previously there isn't much to comment about. I just tried opening multiple images from Windows Explorer with Photoshop CS6 and Camera Raw 8.6, and the first image would open and when I clicked cancel then the second image would open. But if I wanted multiple images opened in Camera Raw to work on them simultaneously it was necessary for me to open them from Bridge. I just did it as an experiment because I normally use Lightroom. Anyway, IF it was a feature at one time to work as you described, it doesn't seem to be that way now.

  • Camera Raw vs Photoshop

To what degree should I edit photos using the Camera Raw Editor first before editing in Photoshop, given that all the features in Camera Raw Editor can be duplicated in Photoshop? Are there any MUST features that should always be done first in Raw editing e.g. cropping / white balance / contrast / brightness / exposure / black and white conversion?
Just to give two examples, Martin Evening's book suggests correcting the white balance first in Raw editor - but other guides I have seen play on the fact that Photoshop has a white, grey and black balance dropper, which gives more options that Raw editor. Another book I looked at suggests that all Black & White conversion should be done in the Raw editor rather than Photoshop, as it is infinitely better!
Any help on this? I want to get this fundamental basic clear in my mind first before I start learning all the photoshop functions in detail.

To each his own, I guess. Both have merits. One thing to keep in mind though, if you edit in camera raw the edits stick with the raw file, whereas any edits done in photoshop stick to that file only. But there is nothing that says you can not start with that file next time.
As far as which is better, that probably depends on which was the last to get an overhaul. Personally I think the two teams compeat to see who is better when updating the software, but really they should be working more in concert to make sure we have the best of both worlds.

  • Using Camera Raw in Photoshop /w More Than 1 Photo

Is there any way to use Camera Raw within Photoshop with more than one photo? I can open it with one photo by changing the "Format" to Camera Raw in the Open Dialogue box.
    Thanks,
    Mason

In Bridge select the amount of Raw files you want (up to 200) and with right click select open in Photoshop (or if you want select the first series in Photoshop and using background processing select the other half of the series using Bridge)
After changing the settings you want you can choose if you just want to apply the settings, open the files or save them in the format you want (including batch renaming)

  • Camera Raw in photoshop 10

I downloaded photoshop elements 10 and everything seems to work except I would like to use the camera raw feature to work with raw images and cannot bring it up in the editor...any help?

When you open a raw file in the Editor, either from Organizer or directly from a folder by right-clicking and choosing open with Photoshop Elements Editor, the camera raw dialog will automatically launch .

  • How can I update Camera raw for Photoshop CS5 to access images from Canon Rebel T4i?

How can I update Camera Raw for Photoshop CS5 to access images from Canon Rebel T4i? The updated version of Camera Raw 7 says it only works with CS6. Outside of buying a new Photoshop, is there anything I can do?

Buy Lightroom (much cheaper alternative to Photoshop) - does all your 'Photo-related' tasks. Full version of LightRoom 4 is $149/- - http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom.html
LightRoom 4 supports ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) 7. Once processed with Lightroom, if you still need, you could take the photo in JPG or TIFF format into Photoshop CS5 for further processing.
Another option is to use Canon Raw Codec that would've come with your camera's box to process the RAW images and then take them into Photoshop.

  • Why does my Photoshop Cs6 not let me view my Nikon D7100 photos in Camera Raw and photoshop when it does my Nikon D700?

Why does my Photoshop CS6 not allow me to download my Nikon D7100 photos into camera raw and photoshop when it does my NIkon d700?

Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
D700 first supported in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 5.1 (CS6 ships with ACR 7.0)
D7100 first supported in ACR 7.4
You probably just need to update Camera Raw in CS6 via Help > Updates.
Confirm which ACR version you have installed via Help (Win) or Photoshop (Mac) > About Plug-In > Camera Raw.

  • Is there a way to open Adobe Camera Raw without Photoshop starting?

Is there a way to start up Adobe Camera Raw without Photoshop starting?  I think in the past it started without Photoshop starting; or did it?

If you select the image in Adobe Bridge you can choose File > Open in Camera Raw. Adobe Camera Raw will open the image using Bridge as the host application and you won't have to start Photoshop. There's no way to open Camera Raw without a host application.
If you can't find Adobe Bridge on your computer and you are a Creative Cloud subscriber, Bridge is one of the programs you can install using the Creative Cloud application.

  • How to open a jpg file in camera raw in Photoshop CC (2014)?

I know i can do it via bridge but do i also have some option than using bridge?

You can open a jpeg or tif into camera raw from photoshop by using:
    File>Open As>Camera Raw (windows)
File>Open and change the Format to Camera Raw (mac)
You can also open any open document into the camera raw filter
    Filter>Camera Raw Filter
If you want all jpegs or tifs to always open in camera raw, you can go to Photoshop(Edit)>Preferences>Camera Raw
and set Jpeg and Tiff handling to Automatically Open All
