Camera Raw is Missing

Been having problems with CR for weeks tried uninstalling PS and re-installing as a last ditch solution. Now when I tried to access CR prefs I get a message saying Camera Raw is not installed. Can anyone point me to a download link for CR.
Thanks,
Dave.

I can not open my photo, opened in lightroom, in photoshop CS4. a plug-in camera raw  xx is missing. Advice to update does not work. There is no plug-in in the map photoshop plug-ins.

This is expected. CS4 will never be able to open files from a current version of LR and a modern camera.

  • Camera Raw Plugin Missing

I am on Photoshop Extended version 12.1 x 64 on OSX 10.7.2 Lion and when I go into Aboout Plug-Ins, the "Camera Raw..." one is missing from the list. Ontop of that, I am unable to install the Camera Raw installer 6.5. I get the error message "Update Is Not Applicable". How do I fix this? do I just make a folder somwhere in the plug-ins folder? where? how? help!
I'm also unable to edit my camera RAW .CR2 files from my Canon Rebel XS running firmware 1.0.7 (however I know the reason why).
I get the error message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file."

I've also now deleted the plug-ins folder found in my Library > Application Support > Adobe folder. uninstalled and then reinstalled photoshop and still nothing in the way of camera raw support. I do see an option for it in the preferences drop down however it says "Could not complete the Camera Raw command because the Adobe Camera Raw plugin cannot be found."
how can I put the plugin in the right place if the updater won't let me, where can I download just the .plugin file?

  • CS5 Camera Raw Tooltips Missing Shortcuts

The Camera Raw tooltip is missing the shortcut hint. How do I enable this? Thanx

If you're on Windows, this sounds suspiciously like the problem solved in the Photoshop 12.0.3 update.

  • Editted in Camera Raw Indicator missing with Adobe Bridge CS6, Mountain Lion

    Hi there,
I have always been using bridge for many years to edit my photo in RAW. last week I just moved to Mac from PC.
Usually, when I am using PC, after I editted my RAW file using Camera RAW 6.5, usually on the right corner of the thumbnail,it would show indicator showing that the RAW file has been editted.
But the indicator didn't how under Mac OS. Is there any option to turn that back on? The indicator really helps differentiate between RAW files and JPEG files
    Thank you in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Jeffri

  • Camera Raw Apparently Missing On Second Installation Of Elements 10

I have installed Elements 10 onto my desktop which works fine. When opening a .NEF file or when opening a JPEG using 'Open As Raw', the Camera Raw interface comes up.
I have also installed Elements 10 onto my netbook. Whilst the prgram itself works fine, the Camera Raw interface doesn't appear to come up when loading .NEF files or opening JPEGS as 'Open As Camera Raw'. I have downloaded and installed the latest Camera Raw from the Adobe website.
Can anyone supply any reasons for this and how I solve the problem?
    Many thanks.

It is fequently updated to accomodate newer camera models to it'll be a good idea to update it as well.

  • Camera Raw features missing after 10.9 update [Why haven't you replied to my question?]

This morning camera raw vanished from CC Bridge and Photoshop.  I also downloaded Maverick.  Don't cc and maverick work together ?  How can I get ACR back?

evclifton, All CC apps are compatible with Maverick 10.9. Check this out. http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/mac-os-mavericks-compatability.html
Could you please ellaborate the issue? What exactly you mean by "Camera raw vanished from BR CC and PS CC"?
What exactly happens when you try to open raw files in Camera Raw from either Bridge CC or PS CC?
Please restart the machine and retry.

  • Missing Camera Raw Plug-in for Photoshop CC

Camera Raw is missing from the Applications/PhotoshopCC/Plug-ins folder. When uploading images from Lightroom a message appears to the effect that CR version 8.4 is required. It advises to update through PS help menu which advises that all apps are up to date. Should I uninstall and reinstall Photoshop CC?

Camera Raw is not installed in the Plug-Ins folder, that is just for third party plugins.  If you find Camera Raw in that folder, you've made a mistake somewhere.  Camera Raw is installed in a shared location outside the Photoshop folder.
And have you installed the ACR 8.4 update?

  • Anyone "lose" camera raw?

Hi have elements 11. It was working just fine. I went to edit a photo and camera raw is missing. I did the update, but it's still not there.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Happened to me once - I had to uninstall, run a registry cleaner, then reinstall to fix it.
    Cheers,

  • CS5 won't open RAF files from FinePix HS10 & Camera Raw 6.3- Is there something I'm missing??

    Ok-
I've bought CS5 Extended and then updated it (including the Camera Raw 6.3 update).
I am using a MacBook Pro (and an iMac also).
When I try to open the RAF file I get the message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file." Yet the release notes for Camer Raw say that it will open FinePix HS10 files...
So I then decided to try a manual install of Camera Raw- I get the same message.
I have checked with other HS10 users and their PS does open them.
Is there something obvious that I am missing- or is there a problem with the camera raw or the photoshop cs5??
    Hope someone can help!!

I didn't realise that the Camera Raw won't work in 64bit mode. Converting to 32bit enabled the files to be opened.
Actually, that's wrong. Camera Raw 6.3 WILL run as a 64-bit plug-in when hosted by Photoshop CS5 if CS5 is running as a 64-bit app. It'll run as a 32-bit plug-in when hosted by Bridge or Photoshop CS5 set to run as 32-bit.
So, there's something else going on here....
How are you trying to open the raw files? From within Bridge or the Finder? How did you update Camera Raw to version 6.3? From the updater? Is ACR 6.3 in the correct install location? main Library (not the User but root), Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CS5/File Formats/Camera Raw.plugin
Can you open raw images from within Bridge? Have you tried to view raw files with Bridge before you updated Camera Raw? Have you trashed the cache foe the folder? In Bridge under Tools/Cache/Purge Cache

  • Missing Lensprofiles from SONY and ZEISS in Camera Raw

    Hello,
A few months ago I switched from Canon to Sony and Carl Zeiss and ever since I am missing some lens profiles in Camera Raw.
I'm a picture editor and of course miss this opportunity of pre-correcting the lens profiles in the RAW development. I can not create the profiles themselves, like I have already been advised to do by an adobe employee. Now I have been waiting for the latest update and I also changed to PS CC.
Unfortunately, I still miss these camera profiles: SONY SAL-500F40G, SONY SAL-300F28G2, SONY SAL-100M28, 135F18Z Zeiss, Zeiss 85F14Z, 24F20Z Zeiss, Zeiss 1635Z. I hereby would like to respectfully ask for these profiles included in Camera Raw. My entire image processing stands and falls with the RAW development. If I have to make cuts in the beginning, all following workflow suffers.
As a premium provider of image editing software, you should not only follow the mainstream (Canon and Nikon), but also the "niche supplier" (SONY and ZEISS).
I would appreciate any information about that topic very much!

  • Missing Camera Raw Preview Button CS6

Something I use on a regular basis in Camera Raw CS5 is the Preview button to get a visual sense of adjustments I make in RAW before going into photoshop. I was recently upgraded to CS6 at work and in RAW the Preview button is missing. Does anyone have any knowledge of what's going on? Is this one of the number of changes made from CS5 to CS6?
The first image shows what my current CS6 RAW page looks like, missing the preview button.
The second image shows the preview button on CS5, which I would sure like to have on CS6 RAW.

  • What happened to fill light in Camera Raw 7? I miss it.

Fill light seems to be missing in Camera Raw 7...how to substitute for it?

If you really, really want it back you can force the conversion to use process 2010.
But try Trevor's suggestion, and especially try taking the time to unlearn the old way and get used to using all the new controls.  I'm finding it easier to get good results more quickly with the new setup.

  • Camera RAW 5.6 - The missing manual

OK - so maybe this is a dumb question, but is there anywhere I can download a self-contained manual that explains how to use Camera RAW (5.6)? Perhaps there is information buried somewhere in an Adobe-produced manual, but after a number of Internet searches, I've come up short. Could  not find anything on Adobe's site - I must be missing something!
    Thanks

Well, to be fair there really aren't multiple "steps" in Camera Raw to undo.  The entire set of controls is evaluated at once to produce the image you see, and there's not a multi-level control change undo capability.  If you've changed 3 or 4 controls, then want to revert the last two, I think you pretty much have to adjust them again or just start over.
If you really DO want to start over, you can choose Image Settings from the fly out menu and that will set all the controls back to the settings from the last conversion.  If this is the first time you've converted a particular file, you can revert the settings by choosing Camera Raw Defaults instead.
Now, if you're doing things like using the Adjustment Brush, I believe you can make the "pins" visible and delete individual ones.  I don't do much spot editing in Camera Raw myself, as I prefer to do it in Photoshop proper (where there really is multiple level undo).

  • Missing features in Camera Raw 8.1

I have just purchased and installed Photoshop CC. It should come shipped with a fully loaded Camera Raw 8.1 but mine is missing the Advanced healing brush and Upright tool. Despite 3 hours on online chat and the telephone with Adobe support none of 3 different agents could come up with a reason ar a solution to the problem. Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Did you do a check for updates?
    From within photoshop cc, Help>Updates
If you go to Help>System Info from within photoshop cc, what version of camera raw does it list?
