Camera raw on a 4K Monitor (CC 2014.1)
I've downloaded the trial of Photoshop CC today with a view to taking out a subscription having bought a 4K Monitor (using with Windows 8) - my problem is that while Photoshop CC itself has the very helpful scale UI to 200% option in experimental features, this doesn't carry over to Camera Raw.
Is there any way of making Camera RAW usable / readable on a 4K monitor?
You may also want to post in the Camera Raw. The Camera Raw team is relatively active there—except when they're superbusy pushing out a new release.

Problem in Camera Raw 9.0 after Photoshop CC 2014 update
Hi, after I install the new update to Phostoshop CC 2014, I can't see the picture when I open a RAW file in Camera Raw 9.0. It only shows a big blue box. Can someone please help me?
Quick fix I found on another thread by fredforward until Adobe can fix the problem. Disable Graphic Processor for Camera Raw worked!
Go to "Edit" menu, "Preferences", "Camera Raw"
Disable "Use Graphic Processor" under "Performance" at the bottom. -
After I launch Camera Raw to do additional retouching work the cursor/SW freezes. Only way out of the problem is to do a hard restart. It happens every time now. Using Windows 8.1. Any ideas and solutions? Thanks.
It will pop up with a window asking if you want to clear the preferences. You must press Ctrl+Alt+Shift immediately after initiating ACR by pressing "open with Camera Raw."
I haven't heard of any bugs in the ACR 8.7 for CC, but that doesn't mean that there aren't. -
After using Canon Digital Photo Professional Adobe Camera Raw cannot identify my Monitor again.
Wenn eine RAW Bildbearbeitung mit Canon Digital Photo Professional stattgefunden hat, erkennt Camera Raw die Auflösung meines Bildschirms nicht mehr und produziert die Fehlermeldung, das die Auflösung des Bildschirmes zu niedrig wäre. Diese Fehlermeldung kommt dann auch bei bisher nicht aufgerufene und somit nicht bearbeitete .raw. Die gleichen Bilder als .jpeg werden in der richtigen Bildschirmauflösung angezeigt.
Installiere ich Photoshop Elements 13 neu ist alles OK, bis zu dem Zeitpunkt wo ich Canon Digital Photo Professional das erste Mal wieder benutze. Nach der 1. Nutzung erkennt Camera Raw die Auflösung nicht mehr.
Der Fehler ist seit dem letzten Update von Ramera Raw vorhanden und auch mit dem letzten Bugfix von Camera Raw nicht verschwunden.

Camera Raw still refuses to update (8.4 to 8.5)
Here' s a little bit of background on the situation. I have been having some issues with Camera Raw in the CC version of Photoshop for quite a while now. Last time Lightroom decided to update, I had to manually update Camera Raw for Photoshop after being helped by support because no other solution could be found. Now Lightroom updated to Camera Raw 8.5 and Photoshop CC 2014 which was released just the other day at the same time is stuck on Camera Raw 8.4 First, why can't Camera Raw just be updated across the entire suite of applications? This is really annoying to say the least. And second, how can I update Camera Raw to 8.5? I see the following CC 2014 apps within the Adobe Application Manager except for Camera Raw. Any help is appreciated or if someone has a manual file that can be shared I'm open to another manual installation, again.

Quit and Relaunch CC app

Open the Adobe Creative Cloud application.
Mac OS: Go to the Applications folder and open the Adobe Creative Cloud alias.
Windows 7: Go to Start > All Programs > Adobe Creative Cloud
Windows 8: Open the Adobe Creative Cloud application from the Start Screen.
Click the Apps tab in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Click on All Apps, then Previous Version
Your installed CC Product would be listed, Click on Install Drop-down and then select the CC 2014 to install.
After Successful Installation, Update your Product
Let me know if you are still not able to Update ACR.

Bridge CC で「ファイル」→「Camera Rawで開く」がグレーアウトしていて使用できません。ショートカットの「command + R」でも反応せず。原因と解決方法をお願いします。気になる動作として、起動時に毎回起動時に「キャッシュのクリアにしっぱ。。。」とポップアップが出ます。キャッシュをクリア、アンインス トール後再度インストールしても解決せず。
Photoshopからは開けません。Photoshopのバージョンは「CC」 2014.1.0 20140730.r.148、OSは10.9.4です。ちなみにCamera Rawで開こうとしてる画像はJPGです。なのでPhotoshopから通常開けないかと思われます。BrudgeからはJPGでも開けるので、Brudgeで開いています。ちなみにBrudgeのバージョンは「CC」6.1.0.115です。

running PS CC 2014 on Mac with Yosemite and am getting an annoying glitch when I access Filter > Camera Raw Filter
The only way to show all items in the filter is to roll over it with the cursor.
This doesn't happen all the time, just enough to be a pain in the ...Thanks for the reply - the problem isn't with ACR itself but the new Camera Raw filter available in photoshop CC 2014 in the filters selection, this doesn't seem to include the workflow options that you get at the bottom of the normal ACR window- it's a really handy filter for quick final adjustments but on my Macbook keeps adding sharpening even when the sliders are at zero. Is there a workflow option menu for this filter ? Something strange going on somewhere- thanks again for the reply , Tom

camera raw filter keeps adding sharpening when I open the image although there are no presets and all sharpening sliders set to zero- this doesn't happen with the same set up on my imac- Ps cc 2014 osx 10.9.5- can anyone help me turn this off, I've reloaded and update the Ps cc 2014

Trouble with Adobe Camera Raw, Nikon D750, Photoshop CC 2014
I have Photoshop CC 2014 running on an HP ZBook 15 with Windows 7 Professional. I recently downloaded Camera Raw 8.7.311. I did not install the DNG converter. I shoot raw in my Nikon D750. I download the NEF images to my HP laptop using a memory card reader. I installed Bridge from Creative Cloud. When I check in Photoshop CC 2014, it says the Camera Raw 8.7.1.311 plug-in is present. But if I try to open a NEF image, it fails and says it is an unsupported file type. When I go into Bridge, the "Open using Camera Raw" option is faded and cannot be selected. So what do I do? Success! My problem was I had the old version of the Nikon software on my computer and I had used that to download the photos. I copied the NEF files directly from my memory card reader and then could open them no problem in Photoshop CC 2014. Many thanks to gener7 and all who made suggestions.

Any solutions/fixes. Photoshop itself it's fully functional apart from the raw opening problem. I did have 8.5rc installed, raw does seem to have updated as I now have PS CC (non 2014 version) fully functional. I have already tried a new download and re install of 2014 to no avail. Also tried a download of the separate raw module, no fix either.

Thanks in advance of any help, was trying to avoid a complete Adobe file wipe.Ok, so this is actually a Wacom driver problem( I'm using Intuos 4). If I turn off windows ink in Wacom driver settings then my sliders in camera raw become responsive again, but I lose pressure sensitivity in PS. Just updated Wacom drivers, but no joy. Anybody have a work around/fix?

I am trying to softproof an image using a CMYK .icc file. I sent an image from LR 5 to PS CC 2014, opened the Camera Raw FIlter, but the hyperlink to access workflow is not showing up in the CR dialogue box... Any ideas why this might be?

After installation of latest Bridge and Photoshop version (2014.2.2) *.CR2 files will not be displayed correctly anymore, neither in preview nor in Camera Raw dialogue.
Some pictures have white squares with blue and red diagonal stripes that cover almost the complete picture.
When opening those files I have the same problem in Camera Raw dailogue and even in Photoshop eventually.
I tried to open the same same pictures on another computer with the same version of Bridge and Photoshop but the problem remains the same.
It seems like the files itselves are still ok, because if you open an explorer window the previews of the pictures are all ok. And the pictures' sizes remain the same.
I tried to clear the cache in both programs but it didn't help.

Resets may be in order:
Photoshop: Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be VERY quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being set to defaults.
Bridge: Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
Outdated graphics drivers can also cause display problems. Go to your GPU maker's website and be sure you have the latest drivers for your card model. -
When I launch Photoshop CC 2014 and then open a .nef raw file it launches Adobe Camera Raw and I click Open Image, then I "Convert to Smart Object" then launch Filter > Camera Raw Filter. Is there a preference somewhere for raw files that just bring you right into Adobe Photoshop without stopping at Camera Raw first? Thanks!

Ah! Okay, makes sense now. I just learned tonight that some features are not available when using Camera Raw as a Smart Filter. One being Lens Profile Correction. So it makes sense to have have Camera Raw open right off the bat to make some tweaks first then continue on. I found the below on the Adobe website. Thank you so much!!
Note: The following features are not available when using Camera Raw as a Smart Filter (that are normally available in Camera Raw), primarily because they don’t make sense in the filter context: Workflow options and preferences, crop and straighten tools, rotation tools (rotate left/right buttons), snapshots, camera and lens profile corrections. -
Camera Raw 8.6 launch error in Photoshop 2014.2
Hi. After updating Photoshop to version 2014.2 I have a problem with launching Camera Raw plugin. When I try to open raw file there is said:
could not complete your request because of a disk error
Camera Raw doesn't launch not from Photoshop, nor from Bridge.

And also there's another problem with Adobe Bridge, no way to open JPEG files in Photoshop by default. Before updating to PS2014 - it was always possible to choose program to open any kind of file from Bridge. Now there's only Open button (no Open with) [right click menu], and by default it opens files in Windows picture viewer, not in Photoshop as before. So now to open JPEG in PS I have to drag file from Bridge to Photoshop window. Not really comfortable. Is that a problem of settings? (i haven't found way to fix it in settings), or a program bug?

Because that's when the freaking error in your freaking system surfaced and corrupted your OS install in your freaking main account!
That's exactly what I predicted and told you, problems with your OS, i.e. the main account.
Geeze… some people just come to here to argue rather than to hear what their problem may be.
I can guarantee you that you will have OS issues again until you repair your disk and/or your OS. If your HD is over two years old, it's time to replace it, given its symptoms.

Camera Raw window appears in wrong monitor
About a week ago, the camera raw window started appearing in the secondary monitor of my pair and I cannot stop it from starting there. It appears with the title bar up off the top of the screen and I can just barely grab the top corner of it from the edge of the primary monitor and drag it out where I can move it.
Prior to this, if I opened a raw file directly into CS3, it would start in the primary where CS3 is placed or if I right clicked a raw file in Bridge and chose open in CR, then it would open in the secondary monitor where Bridge is located. Now I don't get the choice. This was happening before the latest updates which all appear okay. System is a PC by the way.
I would appreciate any assistance.
ColOkay, here's a lesson for us all. I had accidentally hit the F key (Full screen mode toggle) whilst in there and it fills the screen with no hope of getting to the edges. Once back in normal mode all is well again!!!!! Embarassed
