Camera Raw Title Bar stuck behind taskbar

Hi Adobe Experts!
I have recently started using Windows 7 on one of my machines and it is causing a few headaches with CS4 and CS5.
When I open Camera Raw in Win7 it seems to have a fixed window height. That is, the top of the C-Raw window is at the top of the screen and the title bar (where the 'Open Image', Cancel' & 'Done' buttons live) is stuck behind the taskbar. This is the case with both CS4 and CS5.
I have installed both CS4 & CS5 on my XP SP2 machine and C-Raw makes the window height from the top of the screen to the top of the taskbar allowing full, easy operation.
I have tried to drag the C-Raw window around the screen and then adjust the height but it will not allow a window height change. You can change the width of the C-Raw window as much as you like, but not the height.. (?????)
I wonder if anyone else is having this problem and if there are known fixes...
Does C-Raw maybe not recognise that my new screen is 16:9?
Any advice on this frustrating little quirk would be greatly appreciated!

Yep - 768 resolution...ah well thought that would be the case
Interestingly if you toggle full screen mode it brings the smaller CR window in front of the taskbar.
I'm not a huge fan of these new "movie aspect ratio" laptop screens, 16:10 is much better for working on IMO.
Be nice if Adobe let uys change the window size though, seems to be a weird one to "lock"..oh well

Title Bar stuck under the Menu bar and I cannot select and move it.

I often arrange windows around the desktop and sometimes I inadvertently push a window up too far and the title bar gets under the menu bar. Once I let go of the arrow, the title bar is too far under the menu bar and I can no longer reach it to move it down. The only solution is to close out the program and start over. Is there a way unbeknownst to me to select the title bar again and move it?

My E*Trade streaming watch list was stuck under the Menu Bar also. I tried reseting the screen resolution down to 1280 x 1024, and restarting the MarketTrader. There on the display was the stuck window, out from under. I resized and moved it to a central location, and resized the display back to my normal 1920 setting. And to my relief, the window Bar! Title Bar hidden behind Apple Mac menu bar

Hi
I am using Elements Organizer 12.1 and, for some reason, the title bar is hidden behind my Apple Mac menu bar. Does anyone know how to click behind the menu bar so I can access the Elements title bar?

The first thing to try is to go to system preferences>displays and set your screen resolution down as far as it will go. You may need to try a few different settings, but eventually it may snap back into place and then you can go back to the correct setting for your display.

Bug on Camera Raw?

Hi Everyone,
I've seen this on Camera Raw:
Contrast bar in one photo appears bellow Brightness, an on another one appears bellow exposure.
On Photoshop CS5 it worked perfectly. It just started to happen now with cs6.
Any solution?

I have issues with this new process.
1. The old interface seems much more intuitive to me. I would like the option to keep it. Seems like once you swith versions, you are forced to switch interfaces and processes. Perhaps I will try and fathom what the new measures are relative to the old ones. Perhaps I will wait for a more stable version with more help to decide whether I want to go this route.
2. The old and new processes do not record the same thing. Below is an image edited in Camera Raw 6 then pulled into Camera Raw 7, before and after converting to the 2012 process. Clarity was set to 37 and the new process changes that to 18. I don't really understand these "processes" but my guess is that Clarity is a different process in the newer version. I trust PS will know forever how to interpret these processes in rendering images. Or is this a mistake?

Camera roll has gone behind the "Albums" title bar. How do I get it back?

Why do the title bar on Firefox and taskbar on Windows 7 leave distorted image when a list of bookmark folders crosses either one ?

I use lots of folders in my bookmarks list. I have noticed that with both AMD and Nvidia based video cards, that if I am using a folder in my bookmarks list that has lots and lots of bookmarks, the list of bookmarks will cross both the title bar area of Firefox and the taskbar on Windows 7 at the bottom. When this happens, both the title bar on Firefox versions 8-10 and the taskbar at the bottom will leave images from the bookmark list that don't go away (unless I use F11 view fullscreen to clear away the image and restore to normal ). If I am using a Matrox video card, this doesn't happen. Why is this?

Wow. That did it. You are a genius! Thank you, thank you. It's very important that I be able to use the folders with saved bookmarks feature for my business which I rely on daily.
I unchecked the "use hardware acceleration feature" where you said it was in Firefox 9 browser and it resolved the problem immediately. I am using an Nvidia GS8400 video card. I was having the same problem on the new ATI/AMD video cards too (haven't tested though on ATI computer yet). My Matrox M9120 doesn't do that at all though. Do you have any idea why that is ? Is it a software conflict between Nvidia or AMD drivers and Firefox?
One more question on your response solution, why do you recommend upgrading to current video card drivers since un-checking the "hardware acceleration" feature in Firefox works? The video card drivers on the disc that came with the card I am using were supplied by the manufacturer and released last year. Shouldn't that be good enough?

Adobe Camera Raw Update Stuck at 99%

I updated to the newest camera raw as recommended by Adobe update mgr and it has been stuck at 99% all night long? CS6 v 13.0.1 64 on Win7 64

:-) I kind of thought it might have fixed itself and the OP didn't like to come back and say so. Mike's idea is a good one if it really was stalled.

Camera raw stuck 8.3 on mac ps cc 2014

I have seen on the forum that some other users are stuck with earlier versions of camera raw, and there is brute force solution for windows. How do I solve the same problem for mac?
I have PS CS6, PS CC, PS CC 2014. PS6 updated correctly, but neither of CC or CC 2014 would. Lightroom seems ok. Update from within app shows all up to date. CC panel shows all apps up to date. Downloaded DNG converter and camera raw manually. It installed ok, but no update to CC or CC2014.

The Installer didn't work, so I unzipped the file. You can find the Camera Raw plugins in the sub-directories:
32-bit version:
- > payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-050614141453/Assets1_1.zip
extract file "1003" and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi"
copy it to c:/Program Files (x86)/Common/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats/CameraRaw.8bi (previous CameraRaw is overwritten, you should copy old version to a save place first)
64-bit version:
- > payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-x64-050614143245/Assets1_1.zip
extract file "1002" and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi"

Can't get latest version of Camera Raw. Stuck at 8.3.0.141 - spent an hour on CHAT but they apparently accidently disconnected session.

I have been stuck at Camera Raw 8.30.141 and was hoping last nights updates to CC 2014 would help. No such luck. I spent an hour on Chat doing all kinds of stuff with no success. Now, while I am waiting to get back on chat, thought I would see if someone has any ideas.

OK - this Chat Agent (Tanvi A) used the brute force method and downloaded a 57mb zipped file that contained Camera Raw 8.5.0.236. Then unzipped it and copied it over the existing version in Common Files, plug-ins for both the x86 & 64bit folders. She did not give me the link so that I can share with the forum. The zipfile name is camera+raw+8.5.zip . When unzipped - there are two versions, one is inside an x86 folder and the other is not. Two different files that go into the appropriate folder?? We did 'share screen' so it was difficult for me to capture everything she did. I actually thought she overlaid the first copy with the second file but it seems to be working.
Full folder location (I'm running Win 8.1) c:/Program Files (x86)/Common/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats/CameraRaw.8bi
The actual file name is CameraRaw.8bi and appears to be the same NAME as the previous version because she overwrote the file.
My concern still is the Creative Cloud application did not detect the out of date CR version and automatically update it with last nights PS CC 2014 updates. What happens on the next update?

Camera raw stuck in Spanish

Any ideas are appreciated. Photoshop and Bridge are set to English, but every time I open camera raw it is set to Spanish and I can't figure out where to change the language. Mac OS 10.4.1

Is your Mac (system) language setting set to Spanish? (ie. Do you see a Spain flag in the menu bar?)
If so, open the International menu in the SysPreferences and add English. (You will see a little US or UK flag, depending, pop up). Switch between the two as needed.

Photoshop stuck when opening image with camera raw after updating it

Hi!I need help guys.I updated camera raw to 6.1 (i have cs5);now in camera raw preferences i specified to automatically open every jpeg and tiff files with settings (i don't know what is the english language equivalent of that option) and if i try to open a jpeg now after the update photoshop gets stuck and i have to close it via CTRL+ALT+C

Ok, so this is actually a Wacom driver problem( I'm using Intuos 4). If I turn off windows ink in Wacom driver settings then my sliders in camera raw become responsive again, but I lose pressure sensitivity in PS. Just updated Wacom drivers, but no joy. Anybody have a work around/fix?

I'm stuck! Going from LR3 to CS5 I don't get Camera Raw dialog box

I'm stuck. When I edit pics from LR3 to CS5 the Camera Raw dialog box does not open. Everything is updated. I can get Camera Raw dialog box to open if I open a photo directly in to CS5. I have looked at my external editing options. All seems fine. Please help. Thanks!

I'm not a LR user, but I believe it serves as your raw converter (similarly to ACR), therefore when you edit directly out of LR into CS5 the image is already rendered ready for CS5 usage. If you start directly in CS5 then ACR is invoked for raw file conversion.

I just got new lenovo with windows8.1, toolbar for this came with microscopic title bar size

just returned asus zenbook and bought lenovo yoga, it came with big differnce on title bar font size only on mozilla browser. when i oppened new window, icons on very top right corner (minimize, restore down, close) are microscopic. i know how to enlarge buttons itself and it work , but icons remain same size. Then i downloaded adobe flash player for live streaming. It came with toolbar on the side, which is impossible to read without magnifier. Opened Explorer to compare- everything in normal (large) font . First time i see it, is there any solution?

Movement of mouse hides window behind title bar at the top of the display

My roommate's daughter was visiting and changed a bunch of settings. I got everything restored except one - at times when I move my mouse (usually in the direction of the title bar), the window "auto hides" behind the title bar. A small border at the bottom of the hidden window remains visible just below the title/tool bar, which, when I click on it, returns it to the screen.
This seems like it might be a good feature to use, IF I only knew what causes it to do this only when I want it to. Can this be turned off if I don't want to use it?
