Camera raw update (for Photoshop 6)

I am having trouble updating Camera raw so it is compatable with  5d machiii  updated and gave me errors
Help!!

Photoshop 6.    The update stated that there were errors  upon retrying it says no new updates available. So  I manually downloaded the update 6.7(the one that allows me to open 5d mach iii raw files)  however the adobe patch still says update complete and wont reload.  I want to unistall my photoshop and reinstall and re update  but I fear it wont  let me reinstall photoshop 6 with my disc since it is already on the hard drive.  (I am afraid I wont have photoshop at all , at this point I can edit the jpg)

Please Help? Having trouble opening camera raw files. Already downloaded Camera Raw update. I have a pc.

If the camera is fairly new then the version of ACR you have with CS5 won't be able to read those file. You'll need to upgrade to a newer version of Photoshop or use Lightroom 5.
Once a new version of Photoshop comes out Adobe does not support updating ACR from the older version of PS.

  • How to install Camera RAW update for Photoshop CS3?

I know this is an ancient version! But for now it's all I need. Anyway...
My Adobe Updater says "No Internet connection.  Please check your Internet settings and/or firewall.  Waiting for connection..." That's the first problem.  I figured out how to manually update Photoshop and Bridge, but Adobe Updater still shows this message when trying to check for updates.  Also, I've tried to update Camera Raw from 4.0 to 4.6 and I can't figure out how to manually install it.  I knkow the website says to do the following:
    Mac:
Exit Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Bridge.
    Open the Finder.
Navigate to the root of the local disk (not the user’s home folder).
    Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats.
Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensureyou keep this version in case you need to revert back.
Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 4.
Launch Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Bridge.
I manually entered "Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats" and it says this folder doesn't exist.  Can anyone help me update my camera raw?!
    Thank you so much!

  • Camera Raw Update for Photoshop CS3 on Mac 10.5.8

I've downloaded the camera raw plugin version 4.1 because I'd like to take advantage of the clarity slider, but when I try to open it, photoshop gives me a message that the file type isn't recognized. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks ssprengel.  What threw me off was the capitalization of "Naff".  I thought it was the name of some software developer.
There are one or two for whom the name would sit all too well.  I think naff is used fairly universally in the UK.  My wife comes from oop north, (Cheshire) and I've had to learn a whole new language since meeting her.

Some of my comments on that issue were removed by admin a while back as too insulting and condescending towards those team members, but the fact remains that even Adobe engineers and managers are known to vent their frustration, in public and in private correspondence, about how poorly those people perform and what they (Adobe senior staff) would like to do to their necks.
I hope you are not in line for an incremental change of user name — it could get way too confusing.   I vote that you should be able to return to your original user name, which had a proud and distinctive sound to it.  Either that or sound like a baddy in the old Bonanza TV show.

  • Camera Raw update for CS5 Extended

I am looking for a Camera Raw update for CS5 Extended. I currently have CR 6.7.0.339.  IS there something newer for me to use with CS5 Extended, Ver. 12.1x64?

Camera Raw 6.7 is the latest version that's compatible with Photoshop CS5. There's nothing newer for CS5.

If you need Camera Raw 7+ for your camera, you'll have to upgrade to Photoshop CS6.
    Which camera do you have?
Supported cameras and minimum Camera Raw version required are listed here:

    You don't.
The D7100 was first supported in Camera Raw 7.4

Camera Raw 7.4 will only work in CS6 and above.

You either upgrade to CS6 or join the Cloud and get CC.
Or convert to DNG and edit the DNGs in CS5

  • Installing Camera Raw update for PSE 9.0.3 fails

I have been trying to update either manually or with the update function the camera raw plugin for Photoshop Elements 9 to the newest version. It keeps saying that the update has failed. I know I don't have the newest version because I can't open my .CR2 files in photoshop. Which the newest version is able to do. Please, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated! I can't update anything in PSE 9.

DagoEmerson I would recommend posting your inquiry into the Photoshop Elements forum.  This forum is designed to assist users with product specific issues such as applying updates and updating the Camera RAW plug-in.

  • What is the latest camera raw update for CS5?

I'd like to know the latest camera raw update for CS5 to support Sony a6000 raw files. I'd also need to know how to update the plugin.

The last version of Camera Raw that you can use with Photoshop CS5 is Camera Raw 6.7. To have support for your camera you would need Camera Raw 8.4 or newer. You have a few choices:
    1. Use DNG converter 8.4 or newer to create DNG copies of your raw files and edit those in Photoshop CS5.
    2. Subscribe to the creative cloud photography plan and to get the latest Photoshop and Lightroom.
    3. Add Lightroom to your workflow by purchasing a standalone license for Lightroom 5.

  • Adobe Camera Raw plugin for Photoshop 7

Is it still possible to purchase the Adobe Camera Raw plugin for Photoshop 7?
If so, can the plugin read *.raw files from an Olympus C-8080?

    HI mattscreative,
Yes I've installed that but that imports .orf files and my camera saves .raw files.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • When it will be the camera raw update for the nikon d750 in Lightroom 4?

When it will be the camera raw update for the nikon d750 in Lightroom 4?

Never. You'll need to upgrade to Lr 5.7, or convert your D750 files to DNG for Lr 4 to use.
As a site search would amply have indicated.

  • Camera Raw update for Canon 5D Mark III

Where is the camera raw update for the new Canon 5D Mark III?

It doesn't appear that it is available yet.  You will want to utilize Canon's software for now.  I would recommend continuing to review http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html as it has a list of all supported and soon to be supported cameras with Camera RAW.

  • Is there a CS5 camera raw update for the Nikon D600?

is there a CS5 camera raw update for the Nikon D600

Not as yet. ACR 7.2 does have preliminary support for D600. Output may change in final release of D600 support in upcoming ACR 7.3.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2012/10/camera-raw-7-2now-available.html
ACR 7.3 will have complete support for D600.
But, if you're on CS5, I'm sorry to break it you cannot upgrade to ACR 7.x...
You may want to consider upgrading to CS6 or Lightroom 4 (cheaper alternative) to get ACR 7.x support.
Or, use the DNG converter, make TIFFs and open them with PS.

It was announced last week here:

The Canon 6D is top of the list.
