  • I want to add refworks grabit to my tool bar, when I try to install for firefox it won' t let me this is what I get: HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found The page you a

this is the complete error I get. I just installed firefox so that I can use this feature and now it is useless.
    Error Summary
HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found
The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.
    Detailed Error Information
    Module StaticFileModule
    Notification ExecuteRequestHandler
    Handler StaticFile
    Error Code 0x80070032
    Requested URL http://www.refworks.com:80/refgrabit/install.xpi
    Physical Path E:\RefGrabIt\install.xpi
    Logon Method Anonymous
    Logon User Anonymous
Failed Request Tracing Log Directory C:\inetpub\logs\FailedReqLogFiles
    Most likely causes:
It is possible that a handler mapping is missing. By default, the static file handler processes all content.
The feature you are trying to use may not be installed.
The appropriate MIME map is not enabled for the Web site or application. (Warning: Do not create a MIME map for content that users should not download, such as .ASPX pages or .config files.)
    If ASP.NET is not installed.
    Things you can try:
    In system.webServer/handlers:
Ensure that the expected handler for the current page is mapped.
Pay extra attention to preconditions (for example, runtimeVersion, pipelineMode, bitness) and compare them to the settings for your application pool.
Pay extra attention to typographical errors in the expected handler line.
Please verify that the feature you are trying to use is installed.
Verify that the MIME map is enabled or add the MIME map for the Web site using the command-line tool appcmd.exe.
To set a MIME type, use the following syntax: %SystemRoot%\windows\system32\inetsrv\appcmd set config /section:staticContent /+[fileExtension='string',mimeType='string']
The variable fileExtension string is the file name extension and the variable mimeType string is the file type description.
For example, to add a MIME map for a file which has the extension ".xyz": appcmd set config /section:staticContent /+[fileExtension='.xyz',mimeType='text/plain']
Warning: Ensure that this MIME mapping is needed for your Web server before adding it to the list. Configuration files such as .CONFIG or dynamic scripting pages such as .ASP or .ASPX, should not be downloaded directly and should always be processed through a handler. Other files such as database files or those used to store configuration, like .XML or .MDF, are sometimes used to store configuration information. Determine if clients can download these file types before enabling them.
    Install ASP.NET.
Create a tracing rule to track failed requests for this HTTP status code. For more information about creating a tracing rule for failed requests, click here.
Links and More Information This error occurs when the file extension of the requested URL is for a MIME type that is not configured on the server. You can add a MIME type for the file extension for files that are not dynamic scripting pages, database, or configuration files. Process those file types using a handler. You should not allows direct downloads of dynamic scripting pages, database or configuration files.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

Well this morning I woke up to see that my site hosted on Windows Azure was producing 50X errors and in general being incredibly slow (up to 60 seconds response time).
Now after looking through the DetailedErrors folder I see that the error received is:
HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.
I tried creating a new test website and host it and guess what? I receive the exact same error here as well.
    What could be causing this?

    hi,
Do you use windows azure website in Europe ? According to azure dashboard shown,
Some customers may experience intermittent time out errors or slow response when accessing their web sites. Please see this image:
And now, you could try it again.
If I misunderstand, please let me know.

I have a MacBook Air OS X, Version 10.7.5 and when open my Apple Calendar, I get the alert "encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct. Anyone? The error message comes very often but my calendar DOES still work.

I went to System Preferences; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; Under my mail address I unchecked "Calendars and Reminders" then rebooted the system. When it restarted I went back and checked "Calendars and Reminders" again and now it is working again.

  • Keep getting this error message on my calendar "HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct.". Any idea how to fix it?

When you deploy SharePoint on the "Default Web Site" it controls all application paths under the "/" (root). So it is the SharePoint handler that is giving you this error.
Create another physical directory, create another web server instance (use separate port not 80) and deploy your application under that location and you would not face this error.
    Use

  • 'Unknown variable'-error in TSIviStepType: Uses the german bolean value 'Falsch' instead of 'false'

    Hi
I had to install MSVC onto a working test system. This is a PII/450 with 450MB RAM, running a german W2kSP2 and NI-SW from the english DevSuite Prof Test Edn, amoung others LV7.1, TS3, Switch Executive (SE) 2.
I had to install a german MSVC6 for debugging purposes. Its installer asked me for permission to replace some ressource files with german ones, which I -of course- denied. Nevertheless after this installation my TSIviSteps generate an error with a language-related problem:
    Error executing substep 'Post'.
An error occurred calling 'RunStep' in 'ISubstep' of 'TestStand Ivi Step Types'
An error occurred while executing the step.
    TestStand IVI Step Type Error:
An error occured when evaluating the properties of the step.
Details: Unknown variable or property name 'Falsch'.
Error accessing item 'Falsch'. - Wait for Debounce
    Source: TSIviStepTypes
-17300; Value invalid or out of range.
Any easy solution? There must be a simple ressource file to be replaced. I'd dislike the idea of re-installing TS. BTW, Re-installing all the drivers and SE did not help.

The error you are seeing is because of a problem in the code for the TSIviSteps.dll. The code is written with Visual Basic 6.0. The error only occurs for the "Wait for Debounce" setting, which is only used for the Switch Executive Connect/Disconnect operation. Internally there is a cast of a boolean value stored in a step property to a string expression value. If the OS regional setting selects a non-English default language and the corresponding VB6xx.DLL (language resource file) is available, the MSVBVM60.DLL casts the boolean value to a localized string value. So for a German OS, if the VB6DE.DLL file is available the cast returns Falsch or Wahr instead of False or True. When TestStand tries to interpret Falsch or Wahr as a constant expression it
errors as described. The problem exists in TS 2.0.1, 3.0 and 3.1.
The workaround is to either remove the VB6DE.DLL language resource file or change the default language to English. We hope to fix the cast code in a future release.

I just received an update for itunes.  Prior to the update, my itunes software worked. I started the update process and received an error message that stated the update failed because file MSVCR80.dll was not found. Error 7 (windows error 126). I attempted several times to update itunes and received the same message and advised to uninstall and reinstall itunes. I uninstalled itunes and now cannot reinstall. Also received messages related to apple mobile devises

    Hello largoguy,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update.  I recommend following the steps below:
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
I understand that you have already uninstalled iTunes, but when you get to this step, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.  You can find the full article here:

  • TS1372 does anybody know what is wrong with the ipod when error 1437 is reported during the restore mode?

does anybody know what is wrong with the ipod when error 1437 is reportedduring the restore cycle?

Double check the connections on each end to make sure they are nice and snug. If possible, plug the Nano into another existing USB 2.0 port.
Also, with the iPod still connected, try resetting it. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons (or the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons on the 6G Nano) long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Then try restoring the iPod again.

  • Unknown Server Error - Warrenty and Parts

I am encountering an 'Unknown Server Error'.
When querying in the ThinkVantage > Help Center > System Information,
the 'Advanced' button operates properly, but clicking the 'Warrenty & parts' button returns
    'QueryInfoStatusCode() returned 500'
Clicking on 'Ok' returns 'Unknown Server Error'.
Anybody got a clue where to start

    Welcome to the forum!
You may want to try again tomorrow, parts of the system/site were down when I was trying to check some other stuff, and IBM personnel confirmed it.
    Good luck.
    Cheers,
    George
