Camera roll frozen & low resolution photos on 'save image' since 4.1 update

Have a couple of problems with my 3GS since I updated a few days ago to OS 4.1.
The camera roll when accessed from the home screen freezes when I click on any images that I saved from a website using Safari, though any images that I took using the camera can be clicked on and viewed in high resolution.
Also, any saved images using the 'save image' option on Safari from websites are chopped and are of very low quality.
Any suggestions on how to rectify the problems would be much appreciated.
Like I say, this problem has occurred since I updated to OS 4.1.

Did you do any of the basic troubleshooting steps since updating, i.e. restart, reset, restore?

I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they have very low resolution. First I sent them from iPhoto with highest resolution, then I transferred them to my desktop in highest resolution and added them to an email, opened the email and saved to my Camera roll. They all look like low resolution photos.This is the exact method I have used to transfer photos in the past with my 4S and never had a problem. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bad camera? My husband has the same phone, we purchased them at the same time. I sent him the same photos in the same email that I downloaded them from and on his phone they show up with the normal higher resolution. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my iPhone or is there a setting that can be changed? I'm still learning to use it. All my other photos are of normal resolution. Does this make any sense to anyone?

There are obviously limits to what can be stored in Photo Stream and for how long.
If she wants backups then she will need something like this: Seagate Wireless Plus.

At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further. As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them. Just make sure first that they are in your photo software. If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway. So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update.

Photos are only uploaded to iCloud after photo stream is enabled. It's possible that you already had 300 photos in your camera roll when you turn it on so they weren't uploaded. Also, photo stream also only maintains photos for 30 days, although earlier photos already streamed to your device from photo stream are not deleted. If you had turned photo stream off, then back on, and the 300 photos fell outside of this 30-day window at the time, they would not be in your photo stream album. (FYI, photo stream will also only save the last 1000 photos.)
If you delete the photos on your phone from the camera roll album, photo stream will be not be effected. If you delete them from the photo stream album on your phone, they will be deleted from your photo stream on your phone and any other devices connected to the same iCloud account/photo stream.
To keep your camera roll photos permanently, don't rely on photo stream as a backup. Import them to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083).

if a low resolution photo looks OK in preview, will it be OK on a purchased book/calendar?

How low is the resolution? What size is the photo (in pixels) and what size is the frame it's in (theme used, photos per page, etc.)? I've had some photos that gave me the warning that looked OK but it was just on the edge of the warning size, about 140 dpi.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

You can't. The albums that you created on the iPad do not actually contain copies of the photos, but merely pointers to those photos. If you remove the photos from the camera roll, they will be removed from the iPad. Albums on the iPad are simply for your own organization on the device. Those albums cannot be imported to your computer either, since the photos do not exist in the albums.

Hi everyone, nice to meet you all. This is my first discussion starting in here and nice to meet you all. I used Android device before and this is my first apple mobile that I owned. I am using iphone 4s. (5.0.1)
I have search a lot but no answer that how can I rename the photo in the camera roll in iphone or in Windows 7.
What I want to do is:
I have IMG_0006, IMG_0007, IMG_0015, IMG_0016, IMG_0017, total 5 files.
I want to change the name that make their sequence will become IMG_0001, IMG_0002, IMG_0003, IMG_0004, IMG_0005 and I want the following picture will take place in IMG_0006. (This is just what I want but it never happened)
but seems that I can't rename them and I have tried that if I take 2 pictures after IMG_0017, but I delete them (which is delete IMG_0018 and IMG_0019), then take another new picture again, it will name as IMG_0020 instead of IMG_0018.
Questions:
1. Are there any methods to reset the photo number by deleting file under the "PhotoData" that we can see in iPhone Explorer?
OR
2. Are there any methods to rename the photo in the "camera roll" folder?
I have tried to rename the photo directly in iPhone Explorer but it will make the photo cannot be read in iphone.
3. Is it possible that I can rename them directly and rebuild the camera roll by deleting the Photos.sqlite under the PhotoData folder to solve the unreadable problem in iphone 4?

There are no any options to let you choose "rename" in Windows 7 if you connect the iphone via USB
I have tried to rename the photo directly in iPhone Explorer but it will make the photo cannot be read in iphone and just got nothing to show on its screen until I rename it into the previos name again then the picture will show properly.
May be it can but I do not know how to rename them in Windows 7, could you please show me step by step?

Help my low resolution photos

I recently attempted to create a photobook at a couple of online websites. After putting together the book, the website indicated that the photos were low resolution photos. I printed the book anyway and it was a disaster. How did this happen? I've spent HOURS trying to put together this project and I don't know where I went wrong. I export my pictures one at a time because I spend time actually looking at my images while simultaneously learning the LR3 software. Often, I may see several photos within a photo. It is those times that I want to experiment with processing and effects. Once I am happy with an image, I export it and might continue to work on the next 'image' within the same photo.

I assume you have Photostream on, correct?
In order for the photos to be moved into Photostream, you must exit the camera app, and be on a wifi connection. Both of these criteria must be met before the sync occurs.

If the camera roll photos were on your device when you last backed it up, restoring the backup should recover them. Deleted photo stream photos can't be recovered unless they were also in the camera roll.

Iphone 4 camera roll reverting to old photos

intermittantly, when i try to use a photo i take in any way (mms, email etc) the camera roll will revert the photo to an old one. The photo is still there, I can go into an editing app, resave it and find it that way, but that sure is a long roundabout way to use a photo. Is this a software or a hardware glitch. Any fixes?

To delete your photo library you need to connect to iTunes, then remove the selection for the images, then sync the device.
While you are connected to iTunes do the update through iTunes. It takes much less memory as the update is loaded onto your computer, unpacked, then sent to the device.

Your photos are actually all in the Camera Roll. The album you create only contain pointers to these pictures. Albums are like music playlists; when you delete a song from the playlist it doesn't delete the song from your music library. But when you delete a song from your music library it will also be deleted from any playlists that it may have been in as well.
