Camera Roll Icon has Hidden!

I have been adding and removing photos from my iphone4 photo album and when I saw you couldnt delete photos from within the photo album (only by sync) i decided to remove it. Now when I go into photos the Camera Roll Icon / Bar is hidden under the title Albums and I cant access it?

I've had this problem for several days but picked up an answer from another post. To "reveal" your Camera Roll Album from beneath the grey "Album" Title Bar just hold down your sleep/wake button for 15 seconds and power off. Then simply restart your iPhone, click on your Photos App and - now you should see Camera Roll revealed again. My problem started when, following a Sync session, I tried to open my Photos app a bit too quickly and i may have (temporarily) corrupted some command or other. Seems to me that if in doubt try a hard restart is always worth trying first

  • When I open photo icon on iphone 4, I cannot get to the camera roll icon. It is hidden behind albums menu, how can I open camera roll?

I open the photo icon from the scrren application and it open to albums.  The camera roll icon is behind this wording, when I try and scroll to get to it, it only goes straight behind and i am unable to open photos from here.  I can get to the photo the long way but do not want to continue to do this. It has only just started happening.

It helps people like me if you say how!
    double tap the menu key
press and hold the photos icon until you get the minus sign
tap minus sign to remove it from task bar
problem solved ... for a while!

  • If my iphone says my camera roll is has been backed up on icloud, can I erase my photos off my phone without losing them?

If my iphone says my camera roll is has been backed up on icloud, can I erase my photos off my phone without losing them?

I definitely wouldn't. All you can do with the backup is a full restore and that would overwrite anything you later had added to the phone (including any additional photos). If you have a computer, doing an import is a good idea: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
If no computer, you could send the photos to someplace such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or other online photo storage.

  • Camera roll has gone behind  the "Albums" title bar. How do I get it back?

My camera roll album has gon behind the "Albums" title bar. I cannot now access my photos. How do I get it back to its normal position? I have tried syncing.

Do a forum search.  This is asked and answered many times.

  • Cant access "camera roll" album after upgrade to 4.3.3

iPhone 3GS, recent update to v 4.3.3 now when I go in to Photos the "Camera Roll" album is hidden under the "Albums" heading at the top of the screen and I can't tap it to open it.  Can see and access 3 other albums.  Was fine before this upgrade. Any suggestions?

This has happened to a lot of people.  Double-click the home button to reveal the recent apps bar.  Find the icon for Photos and tap and hold it until it wiggles and tap the red circle to force quit the app.  Press the home button once when you are finished. Open the Photo app again and you should be able to access the camera roll.
Hopefully, the next upgrade will fix this.

  • Pictures not being saved to camera roll (or anywhere)

    Hi all,
I was recently having some issues with sending/receiving data over 3G on my iP4. To try & resolve this, I did a clean restore of my phone. Since then, I have been unable to save any images from the camera (or email, mms etc) to my phone.
Initially after the restore, I synced my old pictures across to create a photo library. When taking new pictures they would not save to the camera roll, but a small image was shown at the bottom-left of the camera screen (but again, when clicking on this it would tell me there were no pics).
Also, the video function is now no longer working at all. It will open the video option, allow me to press the record button, but doesn't actually begin to records & greys out/freezes the camera roll icon, record/stop button & camera/video toggle button.
I have tried restarts etc, but nothing has seemed to work so far. I'm DESPERATE to resolve this by Friday as I'm going to see my newborn son for the first time & this is my only 'camera'.
    ANY help/advice is MUCH appreciated!!!
    Steve

Well here is one option: make a new backup, then in itunes select Restore all over again which will install clean os. Once thats done, you can just activate phone with new temporary name & launch Camera app to see if its all fine & dandy. If it is then you can do a Restore from Backup: right click on phone in itunes & select 'Restore from Backup.'
Do any images show up in like iPhoto or Image Capture or Aperture desktop apps? The images might be there, just not showing up or something. With everyone downloading update it might take longer than usual, might want to wait for a less busy time to reinstall os? Just a thought.

  • Albums camera roll submenu not visible due to scroll bug

OS 4.3.5 on iphone has a bug.....the "photo album" app when you click on it the "camera roll" submenu gets hidden by the static title "album"...when you try scrolling up the scroll will revert back to its same position and effectively hidding the "camera roll submenu" ....it seems that programers didn't factor the y position of the submenu list.....can someone fix that?

Open the multitask bar to close the photo app completely or reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again.
Hopefully it will be fixed in iOS 5

  • I have restored my new replacement iPhone 5s from my latest iCloud back up. However my camera roll pictures are not displaying. Its not saying i don't have any pictures, it just shows empty white squares? How do I get my pictures back? Thanks!

I have restored my new replacement iPhone from my latest iCloud back up. However my camera roll pictures are not displaying. Its not saying I don't have any pictures in my camera roll, it has all the spaces for them, but it just shows empty white squares? How do I get my pictures back? Thanks!

It's difficult to say whether it's stuck or not as the time to restore a backup can depend on many factors.  You'll have to decide when you think it's just not continuing.  You could try turning the phone off (hold the power button until you see the red off slider, then slide to turn off), then back on to see if that would get it going again.
When you're convinced it's just hung, you can go back to settings and tap Stop Restoring iPhone to stop the restore.  You'll then have to try restoring it again (Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup).  Be sure it's connected to your charger and wifi while it's restoring the backup.
You might also try the approach posted here by ezjules: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589.  This seems to have worked for some people who had trouble restoring their photos from an iCloud backup.

  • Recently when I sync my iPhone the Albums banner covers the  camera roll selector and then I have to reset the phone to correct it.  Why does this happen?

All of a sudden now when I sync my iphone and then look at photo's the "albums" banner is covering the camera roll selector making it unable to be accessed.  So then I have to reset the phone and go through all of my settings and reset them to where they were before the reset.  I'm not sure what's causing this, but the only thing that was different was that I had over 100 pictures in the camera roll.  Has anyone experienced anything like this?
    Thanks

This seems to be a common problem.  The only fix I know of is to double-tap the home button to bring up the recently used apps bar.  Find the Photos app.  Tap and hold until a red x appears.  Tap the X to close the app.  Then tap the home button again.  The Photos app should work normally when you next use it.
I hope you transfer your camera roll photos to your computer.  This explains how:  Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to your computer, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Also, you can improve iPhone backup and restore times by reducing iPhone Camera Roll:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3603

  • After sorting my pictures into albums, I  deleted them from the camera roll, now they're all gone. Including the ones filed in the albums. Would it be possible to get them back ?

after sorting my pictures into albums, I deleted them from the camera roll, includings the ones filed in the albums. Would it e possible to get them back ?

A photo in the Camera Roll cannot be in an album unless the photo remains in the Camera Roll. Photos in an album or not duplicated. A photo in an album includes a pointer to the original photo stored in the Camera Roll. The Camera Roll is for temporary storage. Photos/videos can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
The Camera Roll is included with your iPhone's backup. If your iPhone's backup has been updated to include all photos that were in the Camera Roll and has not been updated since the photos were deleted, you can try restoring your iPhone from your iPhone's backup. Do not update your iPhone's backup before doing so and decline the prompt to update your iPhone's backup as the first step after selecting Restore.

  • Photos missing from camera roll after iphone replaced at genius bar

My power button broke so my iphone needed replaced.  After the genius bar replaced it I got home an now photos are missing.  It shows over 400 pics through the settings app; however the camera roll only has 150 ish.  (these i downloaded out of my messages).

You can restore your iPhone to the way it was at the last backup you did (on iTunes or iCloud).
To do that, you would erase your iPhone:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings
... and then set it up using the backup.
The backup preserved the Camera Roll as it was when you created the backup.

  • IOS 8 camera roll

I Have read that the camera roll album has been consolidated to new recently added folder. So where did the othe 1900 pictures that I had in camera roll go? Very upset! Just bout the 1TB iCloud and hopefully they were backed up previously!

Anything not in "recently" is likely available via Photos -> Collections.

  • My Adobe Collage app crashes each time I push the camera roll button

I have tried all. From the first time I started the app my camera roll button has pushed me out of The Collage app.
I have my settings on for location service. I've restarted both the app and my iPad 2 and I've also erased the app and reinstalled it. No other photo input crashes the app. Just when I push the camera roll button and it takes me out of the app in a splitt second.
It's very frustrating paying this much money for an app that I can't use in my work because it don't need other peoples photos but mine.
Please look in to this as fast as possible.
    Best regards
    Ami

I don't have any albums in my camera roll only the one main album.
I have location on so the app should be okayed to look at my photos
    correctly.
I have now tried to erase the app twice and also restarted my ipad2. And
reinstalled the app. And it's the same the whole time. If I push the camera
roll button to use my own photos it just jumps out of the app right away.
    And it's very frustrating.
Everything else seem to work fine but it's a useless app if I can't use my
    own photos to show customers.
    Best regards

  • The camera raw button in Adobe Bridge has quit working and all my camera raw files are hidden by a c

The Camera Raw button in my Adobe Bridge has quit working and all my raw files are hidden by a cover that says PEF and has a camera raw icon on it.  I can open the files in camera raw if I double click on the file but I want to see the files and be able to use the camera raw button.  How can I fix it?

This means you have not the correct ACR plug in to support your PEF files or no ACR plug in installed at all.
In photoshop go to the menu Photoshop / About Plug ins / Camera Raw.
Here should be showing the version number of your ACR plug in (only 1 version should show btw)
Then go to this site and check wether your camera is listed and what minimal version you need to open the files:

  • Wrong video icons after moving from camera roll to a album!

I take all the photos and videos from my camera roll and organize them into folders on my phone. After I take the videos out of the camera roll folder and put them in another folder the icon is totally different than the video. Is there a fix to this or has anyone else ran into this?

    Me too.
I unchecked the sync buttons so they were deleted from the phone, then re-checked them and added them back. All ok after that
