  • How do I move photos from my camera roll to the library on ipad 2

ok I want my photos to be in the library and they only show up in camera roll so when I am on Facebook and want to add a status photo I click on photo and it says choose from library and then when I click on camera roll it closes so I have to get them into photo stream. instead of camera roll.

Copy them from your iPad to your computer and then sync them into your photo library.
    Here are the instructions:

  • Camera roll is empty, but ...

My camera roll is empty, but when I go to "General" > "About" it says I have 479 photos. I have the iPhone 6 and just updated to iOS 8.1.3, but I think this problem occurred before that.
I do have one other album on there, but there are only 102 photos on that - forgot to mention.
So I'm very confused as to where these extra non-existent photos are coming from. It should say that I only have 102 photo's shouldn't it? Where did these other 377 photos come from?
I cleared all my whatsapp conversations as well and that did nothing.

Glad Im not the only one! Same thing is happening to me.. Says 2 photos are in the roll when there is none.. If I add one, it says 3.. happened since upgrade to 3.1.. nothing seems to make this right again... Those "ghost" photos don't appear when syncing with iPhoto either...

  • Camera roll is empty, but usage claims space is being used

Hi all. I hope someone can help me with this.
My camera roll contains no items. I upload all new pictures and videos to OneDrive and then delete them from the camera roll to save the hassle of connecting my iPhone 5s to my Mac to copy them.
I've never lost items using this technique; that's not the issue here. The issue is when I go to Settings>General>Usage>Photos & Camera the camera roll is apparently using 63.4MB of storage space on my device.
This also happened after I migrated from my 4s to my 5s. My camera roll was empty but was allegedly using over 700MB of storage. I attempted to resolve this by using an iCloud backup and omitting the camera roll, which resolved the issue but caused more serious problems, one of which was preventing me from syncing music to my device.
I have a 64GB device so I'm not very short on storage, but I don't like the idea of something taking space on my device for no good reason (that's why I don't use Photo Stream anymore, by the way). Besides, 700MB was far too much to lose for something that was, for all intents and purposes, empty.
I eventually decided to reset my 5s entirely and set it up as a new device. This thankfully reset the camera roll back to zero bytes, but it's once again started culminating seemingly redundant storage usage. Thanks to iCloud most of my apps have retained their data, so I'm not too bothered about having to do this, but I'd rather not have to make it a habit every time my empty camera roll takes up close to a gigabyte of storage.
Has anyone else come across this issue? Can anything be done about it?

    I tried to do this:
Settings > General > Usage > Photos & Camera > swipe on Camera Roll and tap Delete.
But it does not give me an option to delete - no Edit button, no swiping Delete button. Is that a glitch or am I missing something?
Also, I read about iExplorer and tried a demo - there were quite a few files under a folder labeled DMIV or something...tried to delete but they wanted me to buy the software before I could. Don't know if this is a scam or if there are hidden photo files which is what it seems like.

  • Camera roll says i have (1) photo... even though my camera roll is empty

updated my 3G iphone for the new carrier setting, MMS works fine. i can send and receive MMS with no problems. however, ever since the update my "camera roll" says i have "(1) photo" even though my camera roll is empty. anyone else have this bug????

    Hi Boots13,
Check the locations mentioned in this article to find your pictures.
Since you have setup as new, I'm wondering if they are from a Photo Stream.

  • My iCloud storage is almost full.  I keep deleting pictures from my camera roll and it makes no difference on the backup storage used.  Any thoughts?

My iCloud storage is almost full.  I keep deleting pictures from my camera roll and it makes no difference on the backup storage used.  Any thoughts?

See if the estimated size of your camera roll in your backup options agrees with what is reported in Settings>General>Usage>Photos.  If it's significantly different, try resetting your device (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release).  Then check again.

  • How can I copy photos from the camera roll to an album in ipad?

How can I copy photos from the camera roll to an already existing album in ipad?

If you are in thumbnail view in the Camera Roll, tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Tap the photos that you want to add to the existing album. Tap - Add To - in the upper right corner and then tap - Existing Album.
You can only add camera roll photos to albums that you have created on the iPad. You cannot add them to albums that you synced from iTunes.

  • How to I delete pictures from camera roll but not album on ipad

I am trying to delete pictures from my camera roll without having to delete them pictures from the album..  The reason for this is I have organised my pictures into albums on iPad and therefore would like to delete from camera roll however when I attempt to do this it says it will delete from album as well. Is there any way round this. Thanks.

No there isn't. The original photo is being stored in the camera roll and the copy of the photo is in the album. If you remove the photo from the camera roll, you will delete it from any albums that it might be in as well.
With the benefit of an edit - my comments are with regard to trying to this on the device itself.

  • HT3603 camera roll is empty from my pic after restore from backup!!! plz help

Hi, I have restored my iPhone to factory defaults and after that i choose the option to restore via iCloud since i already Made backup for all my applications and pictures ...but unfortunately
    - All my applications, SMSs, contacts, etc. were restored successfully
BUT My camera roll (pictures & videos) was not restored at all since when im looking to the camera roll nothing inside it
i wait too much this problem since 2 days until now nothing important
It remains empty. It only downloaded the last 15 pictures from my Photostream.
I'm sure my restored iCloud backup should still contain these pictures as it states that the backup size is 3.7 GB.
My camera roll was about 2,2 GB so that makes sense since now when i go to the details of the icloud backup
it still appears this information but where is my pictrures i have done restore and backup 3 times but nothing appear
in the camera roll!!! so please help me in the problem specially i still not make any changing in the icloud backup

I just restored my new ipod from a previous one that had everything on it. Camera Roll, apps, music, stuff from I Am T-Pain. This is my 7rh iPod. Every other time I've restored them from the previous ones, camera roll and everything else has been fine. But now, I have no pictures.on my camera roll, no data in any of my apps, just the music is the same. Im so incredibly ****** off. i don't think there is a way to fix this :'''''(

  • HT4236 sync camera roll video from iphone to ipad

I took a video using my iphone4 "Camera" application.  When I open the "Photos" application on my phone I choose "Camera Roll" and my video is there and I can play it.  How do I get this video over to my iPad2?  I have tried plugging each device into my laptop which opens iTunes automatically then "syncing" but that didn't work.  When I open the "photos" application in iPad2 the video is no longer a video; it is a bunch of pictures!  What happened? How do I get videos taken with my iphone4 over to my iPad2?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Brenda

Videos don't work with photo stream, likely due to size.
What I do, hook your iPhone up to the computer you sync it to. then double click on my computer, and navigate your way to your iPhone and the DCIM folder. Your video will be in there somewhere. Drag it off your iPhone and onto your computer.
Then place that video into the folder where the rest of your videos are (I have vista and there's a 'video 'folder that my iTunes pulls videos from, yours may be set up differently)
You can then use iTunes to sync that video onto your iPad.
Another way is to set up and use some sort of online account, such as Dropbox, upload your video there then download it back to your iPad (depending on how big your video is, any sort of transfer will take some time, I have a 3 minute video that's almost 200 megs, so it takes a bit to move it around or upload it)

  • My iPhone 5 camera roll is empty, but under usage says 3.1GB - how can I delete?

I can't download the latest iPhone software b/c my Camera Roll is taking up 3.1GB of space, but it shouldn't be as I have only about 10 photos on my camera roll. Photo stream is off, as well as photo sharing. Any help would be appreciated!

    I tried to do this:
Settings > General > Usage > Photos & Camera > swipe on Camera Roll and tap Delete.
But it does not give me an option to delete - no Edit button, no swiping Delete button. Is that a glitch or am I missing something?

  • HT201302 My Camera Roll is empty, but I am trying to import my Photo Library to a new computer's iPhoto...can I do that?

iPhoto isn't seeing any of my pictures.  Help appreciated.

If you meant to transfer the iPhone's photo library to a computer?
Yes you can but you need a 3rd party tool to do that:
    Mac:

    PC:
