Camera Roll will not open

Hello!.
The other day I took a picture of my dog, and after I took the picture the lense would not open back up. I tried turning off my phone but it wouldn't let me do ANYTHING, so I let it lock itself. I checked after it locked itself, and my camera would open; however, my camera Roll will not open. I tried taking a few pictures and it still won't open. In my camera, the picture in the bottom left if the last picture that I took and I can access the camera roll from there but it is the pictures i took before the one of my dog and they are all blurry!!
I've synced my phone several times, turned off my phone and everything. What do I need to do? HELP PLEASE!!!

There are a couple of things you can try.
1. Try to reset sync history:
-Go to Application
-Open isync
-Next to blue Apple (Top Left of screen) Click on iSync and go to preferences
-In Preferences click on Reset Sync History
Try to sync phone again.
2. If the above steps did not work try this.
-Go to applications
-Open Image Capture
-Next to Blue Apple, click on image capture
-Go to Preferences
-At the top of the page you will see - When a camera is connected: Open
-Make sure the drop down menu shows iPhoto

When you re-installed Photoshop, you also re-installed the version of Camera Raw which shipped with Photoshop - in other words you reverted to an older version of Camera Raw which does not support the D5100.

The D5100 was first supported in Camera Raw version 6.4.
In Photoshop, click Help > Updates to update Camera Raw.

My iPod 4th Generation camera shutter will not open and i've restarted it and I have updated it, what should I do now?

PLEASE HELP ME! I've had this problem August last year and I don't know what to do. I really want to use my camera because it feels like a 3rd Generation one and I'm used to using the camera:L
Just please give as much information as possible!
btw, if you give me info where I have to restart it or update it.. dont bother because i've done that several times and nothing has happened! So please help!

Have you tried closing the Camera app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Camera 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

The camera shutter will not open sometime and the camera screen is black. It seems to open as if were switching to the rear but that also appears black? i have force quit the app and hard/soft reset, help?

Try:

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC

ICloud pictures not syncing - Shared streams will; camera roll will not

Ever since I got my new iPhone 5c my Camera Roll will not sync with my computer. The shared streams will sync, the pictures will sync with my other devices just not the computer.
I have tried untinstalling the icloud from the computer and reinstalling, I have signed out and back in on both the computer and iPhone, I just cant figure it out.
Has anyone else had this happen?
PLEASE HELP!!

Similar issues, although maybe not quite as catastrophically bad. I've got a Mac Mini, an iMac, and an MBA, all running Yosemite, an iPhone 6, and an iPad 3 (both iOS devices are running iOS 8). The iOS devices seem to sync okay with changes made on the Mini, and vice versa, but the iMac doesn't seem to be syncing at all with the other devices, nor does the MBA. Based on the original post, I'm not going to bother calling Apple and spending an entire workday trying everything short of replacing the main logic board to try to figure out the problem.
What's particularly annoying is that Yosemite just went through an extended beta period. Unfortunately, there was no equivalent beta program for iOS 8, so there were probably plenty of areas where Apple simply did not do sufficient QC in an area where things need to work flawlessly: file management. Some of the files I keep on iCloud are hundreds of pages long, and the notion that they may become lost or corrupted gives me chills. Apple advertises iCloud Drive as a way to safely and reliably work on your files on multiple devices. So far, it is neither.

Iphone 5 Camera Shutter will not open

I have an Iphone 5 and the camera shutter will not open, i will not work in any other camera app either. I can open and reopen it several times and then manage to click the front camera which does work fine. I have called Apple Support (which isnt helpful) as have to pay for them to run through troubleshoot with me!!! - I have not even had the phone for a year, anyone sorted this issue or have this issue?

From experience you can try a restore but this usually would be resolved by hardware service. Seek service at your local "Genius Bar" if possible.

RESOLVED!!! I logged on to my Straight Talk online account, and did a Tech Chat. They immediately gave me a direct phone number and a Reference PIN number and asked me to contact their iPhone specialty support. I called (of course the gentleman's accent was very difficult for me to understand, but managed with asking continually for clarity). He walked me through several tests, setting changes and had me get on my wifi to obtain the latest APN settings. None of his efforts worked ad it was obviously NOT my Straight Talk iPhone 5, 64GB CDMA (no SIM) - it was something with their setting on their end on my account. I was placed on hold a few times and he would come back on to have me try to get on Safari and even Google... after the 3rd on-hold, he returned and asked me to try to use my data again without the wifi turned on and BINGO it worked... I still do not have my wifi turned on and I'm still receiving texts from YESTERDAY too while I was away from wifi service. IF you come across this issue - please call Straight Talk and/or log on to your Straight Talk online account and talk to an online customer service representative and get their direct line phone number for iPhone support and have your Reference PIN number available. Quit the camera app completely and then try it again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Try the camera app again.
If that doesn't work ....Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Have you tried rebooting your iPhone by pressing and holding both the Home and Sleep buttons at the same until the Apple symbol appears ignoring the power off slider?

Nikon camera RAW will not open in PS CS3 on Win 8

I have photoshop CS3 extended ver 10 and Elements 6. I installed both on a new PC with windows 8. PS will not open my RAW files taken with my Nikon D40X although Elements will. PS opens tiff and jpeg. I went to Adobe updates and tried to install ACR 4.6 (Camera raw 8bi.) The Error message for bothe the opening RAW files and installing the update is, "Could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document." I uninstalled PS and Elements and reinstalled just PS. Same problems. I transfer the RAW files from my camera to computer by copying them through a card reader.

PS and PSE each have a different place to put the .8bi file, so manually do the updated according to the instructions for each product on this page:

Re-installing PS or PSE will revert the ACR plug-in for that software back to the oldest version that originally came with that version of software so you’ll need to update using the contents of the ZIP file, again.
You can do a Help / About Plug-in… / Camera Raw… in PSE and PS to see what version you have installed in each. Plug-ins are scanned at startup, so you’ll want to restart each product after doing the manual install.

Well if the basics (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) don't work, then you've broken your phone. Bring your phone and $199 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement.

Purchased new camera nikon d7100 and camera raw will not open any nef files, talked to tech support and they assured me an update would fix issue, did update and have same issue still

Please check this list to see which version of ACR supports the camera:
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
Then please check your version (Photoshop > About Plug-In > Camera Raw).
As you should see your version is not up to the task.
You can either buy a license for a more current version of Photoshop (CS6 is still available) or switch to the … Cloud License model or use the free DNG Converter.

On my iPad i can not get the camera to work, the shutter will not open. There is plenty of memory and when i use photo booth the camera works on that. I have also carried out a software update but still not working.
