Camera to video switch is missing

I got my iPhone 4 just last week and in the camera it had a switch in the bottom right hand corner to switch from using camera to video. Now the switch is missing and I would like to know how to fix it??

All I can suggest is the standard troubleshooting steps in order. Hopefully, the Reset will fix it.
Restart your phone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset your phone: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

i have had my iphone 5 since yesterday, and noticed today, that the switch to change from camera to video camera is missing?? I have force quit / closed the application and re-opened the camera... but still the switch is missing?

right. figured it out... weird one... so I have just been on a 3 hour conference call... and as soon as i got off the call.. and then went to camera... the switch appeared?... to test, it - i then called a friend... and went to camera... no switch. it seems that whilst on a call... you cant record video... only take photos through the camera app

I Can No Longer Switch My Camera to Video Mode

After my ipad had a new update recently, I can no longer switch my camera from camera to video mode. I lost all of my pictures and videoes as well. How can I get them back and have my camera working like before? It does switch from back to front, but the video button does not work.

Try sliding the words "Video" "Photo" "Square" instead of tapping them. Weird, I know, but it works.

Try restarting your iPhone.
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. Now press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

I also have the same issue..whenever i turn the 60 fps mode on the camera freezes while switching from video to any other mode...does everyone have the same issue?

Yup, i have the same issue, i reported this with apple and there is ticket opened for me with
the engineering section. more that month still not solved. I was hope after update to IOS 8.1.3 to fix!
But not fixed yet.

SImple first: try resetting it. Hold down the Sleep and the Home buttons until the Apple logo displays on the screen. This will not have any effect on your data.

You have to slide the background (up or down, left or right) in order to choose the video camera. I know, it's different and unexpected, but that's how it is. (Tricked me at first, too)

Try looking for it on all your home screens and folders.
If its not there, make sure it diod not get restricted under Settings->General->Restrictions->Camera

If you are talking about the Camera app it can't be deleted. Look through all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration and apps, but may move other apps around to accomplish this.

NAC : CAM control over switch using SNMP

I have CAM , CAS in Central, OOB,Virtual,Layer2 lab
I can see on CAM the access switch ports status which means that SNMP works but when a user is logged on the access switch , the user vlan is not inforced to be changed to Auth vlan
and he remains in the trusted vlan which is already configured on the acces switch
I can change in configuration on the switch through CAM but the CAM itself cant change Vlan

in the CAM, when you see the access switch ports status, click on the magnifying glass icon next to a port which is up and see if it's detecting the MAC address of the device which is connected to that port. If it is not it means that SNMP mac-notification is not configured properly. If CAM doesn't detect the MAC address of the device, it wont change the switchport vlan...

Video switching source causes brightness issues

Hey, all.
We're running several sources through a video switcher (Kramer VS-848), which pipes video through our capture box (MOTU V3HD) to Final Cut. It's live video, so we use Capture Now. Every time we switch video sources while recording, we get a frame or two of brightness adjustment (a nearly-white frame, then a slightly-too-bright frame, then back to normal, or a nearly-black, a very-dark, and then normal) recorded by Final Cut. This doesn't show up on any output besides Final Cut, so we're fairly certain it's not the switcher, but in the software.
Does anybody know how we can stop/control this?

Are your cameras genlocked?
I'd follow up (with my layman's pretengineering degree) by questioning the validity of using that unit as a switcher...seems more like a router to me. (even though they call it a switcher and it seems to offer solid specs).
How many and what type(s) are your video sources?
You might look into a different 'video switcher' solution, which, with a deck, could eliminate the need for the MOTU.
Then you can record live to tape, plus do a Live capture now/non-controllable device and when the program is finished, just spit it back out from an FCP timeline.
Others here should be able to offer much better technical advice, but I think we'd all need a clearer understanding of your entire workflow...exactly what hardware/format(s)/signal flow/OS/software versions...etc.
