Camera trying to sync with pc

When ever I place my iPhone into its dock a menu pops up that says Camera connected. Select a program to launch for this action: then lists programs. MS word, Photoshop, etc. It also has the "always use this program for this action" box to click. The problem I have is it does not have a do nothing option. So every time I dock my iPhone I have to click cancel. Is there any way to stop this menu from popping up.

Figured it out myself, to fix this problem do the following. Right click on the start menu and then click explore. Then right click on the Camera icon labled iPhone and select properties. Then click the events tab at the top. Once in this menu several options will appear. If you wish to not have anything pop up upon connectiing your camer selct the take no action option. And then your done! The camera connected menu will no longer pop up when your iPhone is docked.

If your computer is running an OS X prior to Snow Leopard 10.6,
the answer (if it is an Intel-based Mac; not old PowerPC model)
would be to buy the retail Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD from Apple
for about $20, and install it. Then update that to 10.6.8 by using
the installed Snow Leopard online to get Combo Update v1.1 for
Snow Leopard 10.6.8. After that is installed & updated, run the
system's Software Update again, to see what else is available to
that system.
Later systems can then be looked into at Mac App Store, once
the computer is running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
And if your computer is a Power PC (G4/G5, etc) and has no
Core2Duo kind of CPU -- See "About this Mac" in apple menu
to disclose the general info about your Mac. Also you can see
even more by clicking on "More Info" when looking in there...
If it isn't an Intel-based Mac, it can't run a system past 10.5.8.

Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer.

I lost my bookmarks while trying to sync with another device. Can I get them back?

I have tried to sync with a new device. I Had a lot of trouble finding the code which I used last time I synced devices. It seems that I didn't need to do that anymore after signing out and in, it suddenly seemed to work. All the bookmarks that wasn't in folders appered on the new device but the folders didn't. Unfortunately I also pressed the sync button on the old device. Result: the bookmarks that wasn't in folders "returned" to my old device and all the folders are gone.
Since they cootained years of collecting links. I really would like to get them back.
I havn't shot down my device since it happened.
I hope you can help me :-)

hello lisanis, firefox is creating backups of your bookmarks for a certain amount of days automatically. you can press ctrl+shift+B to open the bookmarks library. on the top there is a menu import & backup from where it should possible to restore your bookmarks from a date prior to that sync mishap.

Not possible, and since the Restrictions Passcode is included with your iPhone's backup, you must restore the iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup.

When i disconnect the iphone itunes unfreezes instantly.

Ipad syncs with no problems.

I found a solution is to remove the podcast from my iphone and then it work immediately
But this is anoying to allways remove my podcast from my iphone

iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes.
Since IOS 8, my iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes on my Mac. It will start running the backup and reboot, it will reboot many times when updating packages. It can take 12 hours to finish a sync with the mac. The phone gets hot during this. I keep deleting more and more pictures and apps, hoping that maybe it doesn't have enough space, but iTunes shows I have 4.9 Gbytes free, which I think should be enough. I am on IOS 8.0.2, I thought maybe I would try to upgrade to the latest IOS today, but I am worried that I will end up with a non working phone.
Is anyone else having these problems?

Well thats Od... I have never experienced that problem.. Maybe you should try to backup your phone and then wipe it by going to Settings<General<Reset

Both my iPods and my iPad are freezing up at the same spot why trying to sync with iTunes. What's going on?

Several times and with several different iPods I've been trying to sync with iTunes and it gets to 653 of 661 and freezes up. Nothing will work I have to power down and reboot. Even if I do a smaller selection with just a few songs it is freezing up a few songs away from finishing. I've updated and run diagnostics, now both my iPods are empty and I can't figure out what to do next. Can anyone help me out here?

Try this,
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:
