Camera will not import photos....It used to work immediately...now it just says it's importing but nothing happens....can anyone help

After hooking up cable and starting iphoto the pictures will not import....it says it's loading but nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions.
I've made sure my camera's battery was fully charged.

Try Image Capture (in your applicatiosn folder) or if the camera will mount to the desktop drag the photos off - or use a USB card reader (a best practice) - onc eyou get the photos off the card and safely on yor computer and backed up reformat the card using the camera's format command

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace

Re: check that the appointments in my phone are going into iCloud calendars....exactly how do I do this? I fear this is a really stupid question!
My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud?

It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting for your iPod nano that is not responding. In this situation, if resetting it did not resolve, I would suggest restoring the iPod back to its factory settings and then sync your content back onto it from iTunes. You could try the new Reset feature. This duplicates certain key data from your active settings folder into a new one, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings. Your plugins will still be active, but could be disabled manually if you like.

I have a gen3 iPod touch. It shows the battery charging when I plug into my PC, but will not show as an extra drive in "my computer" and won't show up in iTunes either. Can anyone help please? I have exhausted all "help" options.

I am trying to get my iPod touch (3rd gen), to show up in "My Computer" and in iTunes. I am using a usb cable and it is connecting okay, because the battery is charging. It won't show up as an external drive on my computer, and nothing in iTunes either. I have used the exact same usb cable and plugged into the exact same usb port with a different iPod touch without having this problem. I have swapped them back and forth and it seems to be a problem with this particular iPod, because the other shows up just fine. I have already downloaded and installed the latest iTunes update, and I already restarted the computer afterwards. The other iPod is a 4th gen touch, but that really shouldn't matter. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help on this matter. I know that I can't be the first person that this has happened to. Thanks.

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. So downloading the latest Camera Raw didn't do anything at all for you. The only way to update or upgrade Lightroom is to obtain the latest version. If you have Lightroom 4 then the last version of Lightroom you can have at no additional cost is Lightroom 4.4.1. If the camera you are using requires anything newer than what is supported and that version of Lightroom then it will require an upgrade to Lightroom 5.

Have you tried resetting the SMC? The SMC (System Management Controller) has control over the charging function, so resetting it may help.

Is the itunes store down? It will not open for me. I go to the "itunes" tab once i'm in my library, and it says "accessing itunes store" but nothing happens.

You will need both License Keys the Lightroom 4 upgrade key and the Lightroom 3 key. You can download the latest LR 4.4.1 from the site below. Just make sure you get the appropriate one for your operating system.
Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh
Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows
Install then you first enter the LR 4 upgrade serial number and then the LR 3 serial number when prompted.

Force-quit Photos as recommended by Arsenal1607.
Make backup of your iPhoto Library and run the iPhoto Library First Aid tools to repair the permissions on your library and rebuild the iPhoto Library.
To launch the First Aid Tools hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto Library to launch the iPhoto Library First aid tools. You'd to hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
Try both the options "Repair Permissions" and "Rebuild library". Then try again to migrate the iPhoto Library to Photos by dragging it onto the Photos icon in the Dock.
Make sure, you have plenty of free storage. Don't try the migration, if you are running out of storage.
