Camera wont transfer images

I have used iphoto and my canon rebel over 50 times to transfer my photos. But now when i plug the camera in, iphoto will open, but nothing will transfer. I have tried restarting the computer, iphoto and taking out the memory card/battery of the camera to try and reset it. But still nothing will happen. Is there anything i can do? Maybe reset iphoto somehow without losing images already uploaded? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Oh well. Was worth a try. Regarding the card reader - that's what I recommend users use as it will avoid some potential problems like a battery shut down or power outage during a big upload which can corrupt the library's database file, Library6.iPhoto. It also saves the battery and wear and tear on the camera's USB port. Also, be sure you don't let iPhoto delete the memory card after import as there have been too many reports of incomplete uploads and complete erasures. I prefer to upload to a folder on the Desktop, name the folder and then import that folder to give the roll the same name.

Hi, im trying to transfer images from my macbook pro back to my camera. When i hook up the camera the only place i can see it is in i photo and it wont allow me to transfer in that program. The camera does not sure up on my desktop as a flash drive would.... how do i open the camera in a finder window that will allow me to click and drag photos back to the camera? is this even possible? im using my macbook pro with osx snow leopard

Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a USB card reader. it should then be mounted on the desktop in the Finder, and you copy images onto it. No bets on whether the camera will display them as expected, though. It's generally safest not to make any modifications at all to the contents of a camera card while it's connected to a Mac. The result of doing so is often that the camera won't be able to read or use the card.

Camera software not opening to transfer images from camera to computer. What to do?

My PowerShot 720is software ZoomBrowser EX not opening on computer. No images load and I don't have option to click on "connect to camera" so I can transfer images from camera to computer. Message says "Zb Module has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution to this problem." Anyone have this happen and know what to do?

If you haven't already done so, please update your software for Windows 7. Here's how.
Just click here to access the software updates for your camera. Once there, just enter your operating system, then the version of the operating system. Now click on "Software" to show the software updates.
Click on "ZoomBrowser EX 6.9.0a Updater". Installation instructions are on the next page. Also, please download "CameraWindow "DC 8.8 for Windows" to your desktop.
After accepting the required disclaimer, please download the program update to your desktop.

More tips:
There are several WiFi transfer apps that allow you to move photos back and forth from the iPad to a computer or other iDevice.

Photo's wont transfer. Incompatible?????

I have several photos that will not transfer to my iPod (classic 160gb). The message I get is that they wont transfer because they can not be displayed on the iPod. This is of course bogus since they are nothing more than standard JPG's, taken with our digital camera and which transfered to the iPod just fine in the past. I tried opening the images and resaving them (a trick which has worked in the past when there has been some sort of corruption within the file) with no success.
Has anyone been having any similar problem (iTunes 8.2)?

You can't put CDs on the iPod. You can put music you RIPped from CDs but they are songs, not CDs.
Drag the songs to the iPod.
Or make sure they are checked.
Or add them to a playlist and sync that playlist.

when I used to download images on my iPad or iPhone, they went to camera roll and they were easy to transfer to iMac with Image Capture when connected with USB. Now Camera Roll is gone in iOS 8 and Image Capture does not see the images on Recently Added. How to transfer images to iMac now under iOS8? I am completely at a loss. How can this be so poorly instructed - I find no info on this and I am sure I am not the only one struggling with this.

You can directly transfer photos and videos via WiFi between the iDevices, PCs, and Macs with an App like Photo Transfer.

Or you can upload the photos and videos to the Dropbox service using the Dropbox App on the iDevice, PC, or Mac and download them to the another device using the Dropbox App on that device. By the way, once the videos are on Dropbox you can share them with others.

How to use Image Capture to transfer images and video from Iphone

I was wondering if I can use the program Image Capture to transfer image and video files from my Iphone? I set up my iphone to be synced with my laptop and tried opening up Image Capture and the program does not read any device attatched. However once I tried connecting my iphone to my imac and Image Capture opened up automatically. Would it be because my iphone is synced with my laptop that prevents it from reading in Image Capture? Any input would be appreciated!

On your laptop, open iPhoto and check it's preferences > General, "Connecting camera opens ..." The available choices are iPhoto, Image Capture, or no application. Make sure it's set correctly.

This upgrade has me pulling out my hair. the device is running very slow and apps wont transfer back into the ipad from my library. anyone else having this issue? what do i do about it? is it possible to roll back the OS? If you are using the original iPad it is possible that this upgrade could slow down the iPad since that model just doesn't have the processor power er and speed of the iPad2 and the new iPad. Unfortunately, you cannot downgrade the iOS - officially.
Have you tried rebooting the iPad? Quitting all apps and restarting?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Make sure that you are signed into the correct account in - Settings>Store>Apple ID for the apps that will not sync. And are you sure that the apps are selected to sync in your iTunes sync preferences?

The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Photos and Camera app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.

What installing the twain plug-in, you mean? Go to your applications folder. Find the Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder. Look in there for a folder called support files, then for a folder called optional plugins. In the Optional Plugins folder, there should be a folder called ImportModules. Just drag that from the Optional Plugins folder to the regular Plugins folder.
This will be infinitely easier to do if you put your applications folder window into list view, not the default icon view. To do that, click this button at the top of the window:

I have also meet problems to transfer music from PC to iPhone, and I had solved it now. You can do the following steps,
1. Copy music to your phone memory
2. Exported contacts to SD Card (on Android phone) in VCard format
3. Transfered VCard file from SD Card to PC
4. Created a Google Account
5. Opened the Google Account from a browser (on PC), go to Contacts, and then uploaded VCard contacts to the Google account
6. Configured the iPhone (using a separate Windows user account - so as to allow for importing pictures & videos through iTunes)
7. Created a "CardDAV" account on the iPhone and synchronised all Contacts
