Cameras in acrobat9 extended

Is it possible to import cameras from other 3d programs such as 3DStudio Max?
Thanks,
Dean

Here's a few links to some camera demo movies, each with a
link to commented source code files.

In general, I find it useful to parent my camera to a new
group node, which acts as the camera 'pivot' (similar to a camera
target), and then I set my camera's transform a certain distance
away from the pivot group, along the camera's own local Z axis.
This way you can move and rotate the target group node around and
the camera follows at a fixed distance. You can orbit the camera
around an object (such as the pool table), by simply moving the
target group to the centre of the object, and rotating it. The
camera, being a child object, orbits at its fixed distance.
hope this helps!

  • I added CS5 Extended to my photoshop CS5-- so where is it?

I click on adobe photoshop CS5 and I don't see the tools I need for 3D.
    Where did I go wrong?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Johnny.

I loaded the disc for photoshop CS5 a few days ago and installed it in applications, it works fine. But also ordered CS5 extended the day after.
I received it the other day and I did the same .  Heres a few pic's of how it installed.  Oh and by the way I used the same serial number as in the Photoshop CS5 , reason is- when I input the serial number that came with CS5 Extended is it showed that it would not work.

  • Camera View Help

I am trying to animate some text, and have somehow managed to change the default camera view.  In all of the tutorials that I see, people drag the camera around and the text moves, but when I drag the camera around, I get a red box and a larger green box that move while my text just sits there.  What have I done, and how do I fix it?

Yes, I have active camera as the view, but I've cycled through all of them.
I added a camera and then a null object (which I then linked).
The camera layer does extend from the start to the finish.
The problem is that the red box (and the green box behind) move instead of the camera view.
It's like I'm looking AT the camera instead of THROUGH the camera...

  • Seidio Case for Extended Battery - Good Price

Well, I decided to bite the bullet and get the extended battery.   I was getting about a full day on the regular battery using 3G and, if today is any indication, I will get about a full day on the extended battery using 4G, which I left it on today.  That being said, I guess it was a good buy because I'm going to assume I can get close to 2 full days of use while on 3G...and only use 4G when I'm downloading or possibly watching videos or movies (if we ever get Netflix access!). (Up Time is 13:52, Awake Time is 4:24, and battery is at 23%)
So, now I need a new case to accommodate the extended battery..  After doing a lot of surfing and reading, I ended up purchasing the Seidio Active case...seems like a winner for me and I'll post a review when I get it.
As an FYI to anyone who is interested, I found the best price on this case at http://www.cellpower.com.  The customer service was excellent before my purchase...very quick to respond to my emails...and I even waited until they got the case in stock before ordering.  A very good experience and the best price I could find online!

As a follow-up to my original post...and if it helps anyone else...
I did receive my Active Extended case a week or so ago.  It fits like a glove and is very snug in the holster (I bought the Active Extended Combo).  I am surprised at how smooth the case feels...almost like it could slip out of my hand...especially with how bulky the phone seems with the extended battery. Maybe it just needs a little time to break in.
Since I already had the extended case, I decided to buy the regular Seidio Active case to use with the standard battery.  To be honest, I much prefer the phone this way than with the extended battery.  No longer do I feel like I'm carrying a brick in my hand and I think I can live with 3G so my battery lasts longer.  I hope the upcoming "update/fix" helps with battery life so I can just use the phone this way all the time...we'll see.
The extended battery and Seidiio extended case will be kept aside and used on days when I know I won't have easy access to a charger...like being in meetings all day...so I guess it was worth spending the money to have them...just wish I didn't have to spend it.
As with the extended case, I ordered it through http://www.cellpower.com - another great experience.  And, the regular Seidio case fits the holster that came with the extended case...a nice little plus!
    Hope this helps!

  • IPod 5th Gen as storage for Canon Rebel XT CompactFlash memory?

I am taking my new camera on an extended vacation -and would prefer to use an Apple iPod 60Gb as a storage device to transfer photos from my CompactFlash card, to transfer to my desktop running Windows XP Pro when I get back home.
Has anyone done this?...what do I need to use to connect the camera to the iPod?...and to my desktop when I get back?
I won't have access to a computer while away, so I will hopefully be able to go from the camera (or a card reader) directly into the iPod,...and I'm leaving Feb 1, 2006.
REALLY appreciate any help you could offer!

As long as your iPod is a photo or video iPod (the iPod must be color and have s/w v 1.1 or later), you can use the Apple iPod Camera connector...$29 at the Apple store. This plugs directly into the bottom of the iPod and you then connect the camera to the adaptor using a standard USB cable.
Belkin or Griffin also make a media reader, but I don't think they are available through Apple directly anymore.
Read the reviews online at the Apple store, a bit mixed, the main complaint being that it takes about 45 minutes and most of the battery charge to transfer 1gb from the camera to the card.
To my knowledge the Apple product is only compatible with certain cameras and not card readers.

  • Help with managing RAW and jpeg images and installing iphoto 9

Greetings: Fist, let me make the neophyte apology and plea - I'm sorry, I should have come here first; I didn't and now I need your help.
I have just purchased a macbook pro (still in its box) with updated software for my older imac os x. I have a number of Canon related photo editing programs (that came with my 40D digital SLR) and Adobe photo elements 6 for mac on the imac. Following some erroneous advice I have made a complete mess of the pictures folder's content by trying to delete images directly from that folder (there are now 6000+ images in the folder, many of which are duplicates(?). Most of the images are not tagged or labeled and some have been organized in/by iphoto (I corrupted the iphoto's library structure very early on by disrupting and editing its images - which might explain why iphoto had a difficult time 'finding' and displaying some of my photos). The picture folder now holds jpegs, smallRAW images (a Canon 40D photo format) and various duplicates of the orignal images - (some of the duplicates don't display as images, but as jpeg logos, which, when opened contain duplicate image or are completely black) The first time I downloaded RAW images into iphoto 6 the RAW data displayed as a black image. When shooting in smallRAW on the Canon 40D, the camera produces a jpeg image for 'easy viewing and editing in the camera' but it looks as though iphoto 6 made duplicates of the jpeg and the RAW data and stored them in different locals in the picture file. In an attempt to get the number of images down, I have been trying to delete them from the picture folder. (My daughters both download images rather indiscriminately in hopes of 'editing them on the computer' which inevitably does not happen) and there is a lot of experimental bracketing of images - shooting raw and different Camera formats etc., all of which need to be cleaned up before I proceed.
Sometime in the not-too-distant future I would like to have iphoto 9 running on my imac with a clean library of images and a seamless way of downloading, editing and storing images (including the RAW data).
The macbook pro is for my highschool-aged daughter, who will run iphoto 9 but not have any RAW image data on her system. She would like to copy some of the old iMac's images to put into her own iPhoto 9 library (probably using a disk, email or on-line photo service - ideally, I would like to be able to copy and remove a number of those images from my HD and give them to her for the macbook)
A few questions and queries: Can I 'dis-able' iphoto 6, while I delete images (RAW and jpeg) from the picture file? (and is this even a good idea).
Once I have edited the # of images down to a reasonable size, should I re-launch iphoto 6, rebuild the iphoto library and then update to iphoto 9 or skip v6 and rebuild with v9?
And now for the 'how stupid is this guy question' - I really had planned to purchase an external backup; but between new the macbook, car repairs and braces it has never come to fruition. So, I have never properly backed up my images. What is the bare-bones, least expensive method for me to do this? I'd even consider burning everything to disks if that works. I can't afford the $ to purchase a new external hard drive right now (really). Budget is set aside mid-November for one though.
I've been looking through some other discussion boards and it looks like I'm not the only one having RAW image issues. I know that shooting smallRAW with the companion jpeg is probably not helping things but I take my camera equipment on extended canoe trips - and we like the ease of on-the-spot editing with this format.
Thanks in advance for your help - Mark

Terence, Is the picture folder the primary source for the images or does that data reside somewhere else?
If you gathered them there, then yes.
I really don't want to have to go through 14,000 images looking for the pictures that I want to keep (or is that my only option?).
Only you can decide what you want to keep.
Why does the computer keep making copies of the images and filing them under date and events?
That's how iPhoto works. It's not a problem usually, only you did go in there and make a problem, and now we are trying to fix it.
You advise not to muck around in the picture file via preview,
No I don't. I advise not to much around in the iPhoto Library Folder.
but if I download images through a program other than iPhotos - image capture or adobe aren't I doing that anyway?
Adobe what? Adobe is a software manufacturer who make many excellent applications, you need to be more precise. And no, if you import photos with Image Capture or “adobe” no you are not interfering with the iPhoto Library Folder.
Can you edit a base image file somewhere and remove it from the HD without iphoto making a copy of it and storing it somewhere else?
This is stunningly easy. Don't use iPhoto. Use an image editor.
I want to look the negatives, decide which ones I want and throw the rest away. Can that be done or am I way off course?
Yes, and iPhoto (or similar apps) make this really easy.
Hook up your camera. Import the pics to iPhoto. Go through the imported pics. Trash the ones you don't want. Then process the ones you do. But you must learn how to use iPhoto to do this successfully
To trash: put the pic in the iPhoto trash and empty it. This removes the file from iPhoto and the Hard Disk.
Process it: If you want to use another editor: You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
    Regards
    TD

  • How to UNINSTALL Adobe Bridge

When installing Conttibute 4.0 you'll get also a lot of extra
PAYLOAD software from Adobe, which I do not want to have installed.
I am speaking about copies of Abode Bridge, Version Cue, Anchor
services, Assets Services, Camera Raw, Maps, Extended Srcipt
Toolkit, Help viewer, Start Meeting .....
Why does Adobe think I need this stuff. I only want to update
a website with good old Contribute. Nothing more, nothing else.
Contribute version 3 was 30MB, Contribute CS3 is now 300MB in
    bytesize....
Does anybody knows hou to disable OR uninstall these
    components?
I tried the helpdesk, but the tricks they send to me only
apply to enterprice packages, where the system manager can create
their own installers. At time of installation, No options are given
the select te packages you want.
    Thanks Pieter

Indeed this is a pain: no so much for me as a developer; but
    definitely for
my clients who see themselves faced with heavier system
    requirements without
any real added (or rather 'asked for') value. Please Adobe,
    do something
about this and provide an uninstaller for these items. I can
    see the
partially commercial interest of Adobe, but this is really
    over the back of
    my clients.

  • Score keeper

I've been hired to shoot basketball games several times a week for my high school, and I need to turn around a finished product by the next day. I wanted to put in a score board or timer at the bottom of the footage I capture. I thought I could keyframe a text box with the score inside it to switch to different text (ie, the next score after a basket) but so far I haven't been successful in attempting that. I also have to do a clock that I can start/stop, which I guess I would use a time generator for (theres on in fcp i believe).
My question is: Does anyone know of a plug-in that will allow me to make some shortcuts here or any techniqes/tips that would help me do this so that I am able to get at least a little sleep between the game and the next morning?
    Thanks,
    Jordan

"For the scoreboard: Create a text clip that is laid out the way you want it. Edit it onto a video track about your camera video and extend it over the complete timeline (you may have to change the duration of the clip in the browser). Add edit to the text clip whenever the score changes. Double click on the individual text clips and change the numbers"
There are two good ideas to keep your life sane.
    1) the score board camera for inserting as a small screen block and
    2) the text clip.
I would alter the text edit idea to this. Create a text block and let runs say 15 seconds at each shot change. Copy this and then paste it over the next shot change and double click to change the text in the text editor. Less rendering and time saved on creating 'new' text everytime.
    What do you think?
Your going to be hours on this just capturing. Batch capture and label each clip in a way that you can keep with. Maybe even notes at each shot change. Believe me capturing in this way will "save" time and alot of headaches when you're putting this thing together.
Keep it simple. Your audience already has a low level of expectations anyway. Do a good and 'improved' job, but don't kill yourself.

  • Beginner

Hi, I am atempting to connect up my Basler camera to Vision aquisition for the first time. I can get an image on the pylon viewer. However when i launch my MAX it does not pick up the camera. I am using a network connection to connect from camera to laptop. It has to exist in Device manager before it will recognise the camera in IMAX. How do i get the camera to appear in device manager?
My first week with labview so its all very new to me. thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It seems the Vision Assistant software can't support processing for GigE cameras, as this extends to generating LabVIEW code.
This means you will need to write the LabVIEW code yourself to acquire the images, however this is not very difficult, and the "Low-Level Grab.vi" example (available from the "Find Examples" window under the Help menu in LabVIEW) should give you a good starting point. I have attached this VI for you.
    Hope this helps.

  • Live Wireless with other webcams?

As those of that own the Creative Live! Wireless webcam know, the image quality is quite low. I love the portability of the embedded server, but does anyone know if this will work with other higher quality webcams? I tried my older (but higher quality) logitech webcam but the server did not recognize it. Has anyone tried other creative brand cameras? Any luck? It would be great if the server could support a wide variety of cameras, this would extend the life of the server, allowing you to upgrade the cameras as higher quality ones become available.
As a side note, can this server stream two webcams at once? What about support for a USB hub and more then two webcams?
    Thanks for any replies.

I haven't tried other cameras. I don't know if they would work. I suspect that the driver(s) in the server can only work with limited devices. Nonetheless the life of the server is tempered even more so by the CreativeDDNS issue. For a while now the DDNS registration used in the Creative Li've Wireless Server is not working correctly. There is another thread devoted to that topic "Is the creativeddns working"

  • Off-spec refurb 13" MBA (Mid-2012)

So, i recently purchased a Macbook Air (MacbookAir5,2) used here in Stockholm. What's weird about it is that it seems to be an 11" model but with a 13" screen. It came with a 64GB SSD and i've since verified with Apple that it indeed shipped with that. Also it has a 1.7 GHz i5-3317U CPU instead of the usual 1.8 GHz found in the 13" MBAs.
Has anyone else encountered this particular variation before?
It came with the extended AppleCare Protection Plan, which i've transferred with Apple and verified it's still valid. I also asked the first-line support tech at AppleCare Support about it, he agreed it was a strange beast indeed, but could offer no information save that it had been RMA:d at one point. Does this mean it probably is a factory refurb?
Going to investigate further with the original owner and a Senior Advisor at ACS.
    rgds,
    Krille

Thanks for the reply and tips on checking more about the battery info.
This is what I run 99% of time: Chrome, Microsoft Excel, Calendar. With wifi switched on.
It doesn't sound like application that will drain out power quicker, or does it?

  • Aperture seems to apply a color profile to raw by itself

When I open up a image in aperture, it shows the image as shot for a second and then disorts the colors for some reason, applying some kind of preset profile to every raw I open. Below, it shows "processing" for the second before changing the colors. In lightroom the camera calibration profile can be changed to neutral since adobe's own calibration translation profile burns colors easily- which seems to be the case here as well? Apples support site says that no profile is used or applied when processing raw, but its definitely doing something, pretty much burning the colors flat. Translator problem? Where to change it to neutral?
I may be a retard, but gimme a hand here.
edit: iMac '11, MBA '13 (same problem with both) + aperture (latest). Camera is 1Dx, if that makes any difference.
    Message was edited by: finomad

Cheers J Lietz- that was the key. Any kind of "in camera" dynamic range extender + boost changes the color balance and mushes the image. I tried retouching photos with pictures that had no D+ or any other in camera- dynamics assist on and it there seems to be very little color shift.
The thing is, that especially in images that have a lot of dynamic range to cover (strong backlight i.e.) , aperture chooses by default to apply full boost + hue boost even if I thought I had set a default preset to do otherwise (and therefore didn't doublecheck them) and that combined to somewhat compressed data from higher and lower end of the histogram seems to shift the color balance toward purple / red and mush the image to the point of being unusable. It makes it even worse if the picture has been initially even a little underexposed. The effect was not easily visible in pictures taken in daylight or even in night-time pictures (although could be seen with some pixel peeping) with landscape or mildly coloured objects being the subject, but in nightclub scenery the boost has a pretty much a horrific effect.
    Solved.

  • Audio Tracking Suddenly Off

I'm experiencing a wierdness for the first time in iMovie. I am doing a final edit on a movie and noticing that my audio track has shifted slightly, enough to be noticeable. This was not happening a few weeks ago when I finished my last movie.
I am making a movie from three different cameras' imported clips, and moving from camera to camera, and then extending the detached audio from the camera that sounds the best, over-voicing whichever clip I'm not using audio from.
At first I thought I had inadvertently moved the detached audio clips, but upon some experimenting involving deleting and re-detatching and not even extending the audio, but turning on the clip volume again to play both, the detached audio is clearly not synced to the clip it came from.
Any ideas what could cause this to occur, and how to fix it?
Has there been an iMovie update in the last week that is causing problems?

Experiencing problems with audio in the projects also. Volume goes suddenly up or down in the middle of the clip.
    Any help?
    Thanks and good luck

  • I Need Help With Premiere Pro CC File Issue

When I shoot video with my Canon XF100 camera for an extended period it creates new files every 5 minutes. In a continous shoot it keeps these separate files in a sub-folder until I hit the stop button. When I recommence shooting it creates a new sub folder and a new file.
Until recently Premiere Pro CC would read each file seperately in a sub folder but just recently it has started to combine them all. For example, if I was shooting continuously for 15 minutes I would get three 5 minutes filesand Premiere Pro CC would normally see 3 separate 5 minute files with their own file names but just recently it will see 3 files, each 15 minutes in lenghth, and each with the same content even though they have different file names.
Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, do you have a solution?
    Thanks,
    Milton

This was an unintended result of an intentional change to fix how Premiere Pro handles spanned MXF clips. To learn a bit more, please consult this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1358012?tstart=0

  • Photoshop CS6 does not update

I have just spent 5 days getting Photoshop CC to install properly on my computer (Win7Pro-64-bit) and now the Photoshop CS6 update fails to install. I have uninstalled CS6 and the reinstall fails.

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I did get the U44M1P7 error and I had already followed your link to no avail. Trying to install the updates by first downloading them produced a message that that update did not apply to my version of CS6, even though I downloaded the Win (not Mac) version). Uninstalling CS6 and attempting a reinstall via Adobe CC produced the same failed install error, U44M1P7, hence my initial post.
What I find strange is that when I first installed Adobe CC, it let me install CS6, which came as CS6 Extended. I also am licensed wit ha serial numbered CS6 which is not the extended version. I have since been able to uninstall, reinstall and update my serial numbered CS6, but CS6 no longer shows in Adobe CC Apps tab--only Photoshop CC shows now.
I don't understand what is happening here. Should I have a copy of CS6 Extended and should it be visible as part of my Photoshop CC purchase or not? If not where did the CS6 Extended come from in the first place? I believe it was the CS6 Extended that was showing in Adobe CC that did not update and gave the U44M1P7.
