Caméscope SONY HDR FC1 always offline since I use premiere pro creative cloud. It worked fine with the previous version for HDV video capturing.

  • Sony HDR-FX1E

I would like to import HDV material with the Sony HDR-FX1E into my Final Cut Pro App. But I couldn't find the right setting. The sound is to low. Has anyone a clue?
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi(Bonjour)
When do you get this message exactly (in seconds after start of import or much later) ?
Is it always at the same part of the tape?
Did you try to capture from another tape to see if the problem occur with all tapes ?
Do you use filevault? Is there any other application running in background ?
And, may be a simple question but, did you shoot your movie in HDV ?
If so, are you sure that the FX1 is outputting an HDV signal, not a DV conversion?

  • Cannot Connect Sony HDR-FX1E

    Hi,
I cannot connect my Sony HDR-FX1E to my Mac through firewire to Final Cut Pro 6 or iMovie, it just will not connect, through easy set up or any other way in Final Cut. Are there drivers that I need or is this a Leopard problem?
I've tried fiddling with settings on the camera as well, but I have been using it on my work systems (not leopard) and its been fine.
Any help would be great as i'm desperate to capture some footage that needs editing.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

resolved this myself by getting a new firewire cable, cheers to me for the advice!

Since I joined creative cloud, I have not been able to sync. Why the difference? Worked good during initial trial.
Also I had installed the Mosaic app for ipad before Lightroom mobile came out and I cannot seem to get rid of it. How can I get mosaic out? I have cancelled, I have deleted, I have looked through the files for visible remnants.

The sync count is 60 and static. The total number synced so far is 500+. None have been synced from the ipad except for corrections made there on those already synced.
I have deleted the Mosaic app from all machines and checked the library folder and have contacted the Mosaic tech support and they have discontinued my subscription. I still get mosaic messages on initiating Lightroom and sometimes at closing.
I have not tried to sync fewer yet, but some catalogs that I have tried are smaller numbers. Initially, it did well on good connections. Nothing works on my home connections over satellite.

  • My photoshop opens, then closes itself since enrolling in creative cloud. I reinstalled - same

My photoshop opens, then closes itself since enrolling in creative cloud. I reinstalled - same. I use photoshop every day - HELP>

So - I could get no reply on forums so I attempted to speak, on a web chat, to technical support. I waited an hour as the nine people in front of me in the queue were dealt with. Then I outlined my problem, set out above: signed out of CC as soon as I logged in. Tried all the fixes suggested all over the forums and one which was posted on the site by the CC team. No joy. Can't use apps now because when I try to use Photoshop CC (which needs to be authorised at the start of my subscription) it now requires a sign in and offers me only the trial version. "Ah," said my support assistant - you'll need to contact Technical Support. "All the options I was offered online were technical problems," I replied. "This is customer services;" he said, "I'll post you the link". The link sent me back to the page where I started and led me to him. What a shambles. So I have just received an email informing me that Adobe had successfully collected my monthly payment. And I have a service which I can't use. Brilliant.

  • "Media Offline" in Premiere Pro CS3 .. but it's not offline!

If anyone is able to advise on a technical problem in Adobe Premiere Pro (CS3), I'd be most appreciative I'm hoping someone will be around anywhere to help solve this...
    Please look at:
    http://www.thepfjstudios.com.au/images/PremiereProblem.jpg
to understand my issue better. (Img 1440x900, approx 210kb)
In the upper left box are the videos in the project. This issue is with all videos in the project, but for the example, I'm looking at the highlighted video, MOV03C_03.mpg. The thumbnail at the top of the list shows the video is working, I can play it fine by pressing the play button next to the thumbnail.
The same video, MOV03C_03.mpg, is in the timeline at the current point of the cursor. The current timecode is 00:00:55:22 (hh:mm:ss:ff). I don't understand why the monitor on the upper right corner is showing the video (and all videos in the project) as "media offline", when they're all in the project and able to be played, therefore *not* offline.
Is there some way I can fix this? It's for a university project that I'm needing to deliver to our customer this week...

The guy that said "if an Asset appears as Off-line, it is because the Asset IS Off-line" obviously hasn't seen this problem before.
You are absolutely correct here. Most users have not seen this problem before. In my search of these fora, I found only this, and one other thread where this behavior was reported. In all others, the problem came about because of things like Paths changing (external drive letter changes were the most common). There were cases where the Path was changed by Renaming, Moving and Deletion, but only this, and one other instance, where something else intruded.
Now, it appears that you also encountered the issue, so that runs the count up to three. There are possibly others, who have never posted here, but we cannot count them, unless one searches every possible forum on the Internet.
It is good that you have found a way to get around the issue, and thank you for posting that.
I do, however, have a little problem with your attitude. A forum respondent can only comment of problems that they have had, observed from others, or have read about. If few users have encountered this issue, it might seem that it is related to but a few Projects, systems, or users' actions. If it were a universal Bug, it would seem most logical, that many others would have encountered it, and reported it.
You are correct. I have not encountered this problem, and it appears that most other users are in the same exact position. Maybe we do something differently, or our systems and Projects are different enough, that we have just been spared. I am not sure that is a bad thing.
Again, thanks for posting your keystrokes to handle the problem, when it arises. I hope that will help others, when they show up.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Sony  fs100 importing avchd in mac premiere pro

I just bought a sony fs100 camera., set at 1080/25p fx. (This should give a bit rate up to 24 mb/sec, avchd format)
When I connect the camera with usb2 cable to my mac pro and import it in premiere pro CS 5.0
then the images are very bad.(moving pixels or how to describe this) The only thing I can find is that the bit rate of the images is about 2,8 mb/sec, which seems to be very low I think?
So should this be the cause and what to do about it, or what could be the problem ?

    >premiere pro CS 5.0
1st, the Mac version is up to 5.0.4 with several bug fixes and performance improvements... you need to update
    2nd, more information needed... http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200840

  • Sony video walkman wont connect with premiere pro#

the device is a sony vide walkman GV-D1000E, when connected to the pc using moviemaker or adobe on location it connects and functions as expected however when trying in the capture screen  no image appears and its says capture device offline.
no drivers were released for this device as its always been aimed as a plug and play , now before you say it yes it is old and probably designed to work with older operatings systems but if it works in other programs why not premiere pro?
thanks for any help in advance!
    Lou

If i am not mistaken the walkman has dv in and out over firewire.
Connect walkman to pc with i-Link.
    Turn pc and walkman on.
Fire up Premiere and open project, make sure its set to dv.
You might want to set the windows driver for the 1394 to Legacy.

  • Media Offline in Premiere Pro CC 8.1

I just downloaded Premiere Pro CC 8.1 and was using CC 7 .1 When I went to convert the project I was working on for the past two Weeks, it would convert and I get the Media Offline warning in the Timeline.
Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'd really appreciate it.
    Thanks
    JM

    User meant "Media Offline"

I am using Windows 7 Professional 64 and Premiere Pro.  If I double click on a project in Windows Explorer to start PP, I also get the "media offline" timeline.  When a relink is attempted, PP either locks up and requires Windows Task Manager to quit or it simply refuses to link to the media, with an error message about the media not having the correct properties or something similar.
After forcing PP to close, I generally get it to work properly the second time.
This doesn't ever happen if I start PP first THEN open a project from the start screen.

  • Server busy issue since i joined Creative Cloud

I had Lightroom 5 and then joined creative cloud and have been having issues ever since i signed up.  Every time i start lightroom i get a server busy error for hours on end.

A fix to Lightroom's “Server Busy Error” on a Windows 7 64 bit computer:
I see in the discussion threads there are a LOT of frustrated people over this Server Busy issue, so I hope this helps someone. This is what Adobe tech support had me do, which fixed my problem. I got through on the phone right away, and the fix took no longer than 20 minutes to determine, with the support person remoting into my computer.
I already had Lightroom 5.6 installed through my Creative Cloud subscription, and it had worked for a few weeks for me, although with increasing problems with the Server Busy box popping up. I was able to get rid of it by switching to Switch and Retry, but eventually it locked me out entirely.
Tech Support told me the problem was a permissions issue.
Try the following and see if it solves your problem:
In C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe, find the SL Cache folder and move it to your Desktop.
In C:\ProgramData\Adobe, find the SL Store folder and move it to your Desktop.
R Click on your Lightroom icon and “Run as Administrator”.
If it opens correctly, that shows it is working now.
Close Lightroom and reopen the application normally.

  • Trouble setting up Sony HDR-FX1E HDV handicam, please help?

Hi there trying to capture from the mentioned camera, seem to have problem to capture footage filmed in wide mode.
    Can anybody help me out?
    Thanks

have problem to capture footage filmed in
    wide mode.
Does this mean you can capture 4:3 footage - or that you can't capture anything at all from your camera? Please describe exactly what you're doing and what's happening (or otherwise)!
Have you upgraded Quicktime recently? FCP uses QT to capture and there has been an issue with certain cameras not being recognised after the upgrade.
If you've upgraded QT recently, try capturing in iMovie (iMovie doesn't use QT to capture from a camera)
If you've managed to sort it out, why not post back and tell us how you did it? That way others can benefit from your experience. (That's what these discussion groups are all about).

  • Sony HDD Handycam video editing in Premiere Pro CS3

Is PPCS3 Software compatible with MPEG2 Camcorder recordings?

Based on reading a LOT of problem reports, importing files from a DVD or hard drive camcorder or other MPEG device (including digital STILL cameras that create MJPEG files) or trying to edit divx, or Ripping DVD files rarely results in success in Premiere... do not be fooled by movie industry advertising into thinking that "DVD Quality Video" is suitable for EDITING... it is not... a DVD is designed to be for PLAYBACK only... and that includes trying to edit a Standard Def MPEG or VOB file!
You should also use WAV sound files, not the compressed MP3 format
The only SD (Standard Def) files that Premiere really likes are DV AVI type 2 (be sure you have type 2 and not DV AVI type 1 files)
HD (High Definition) files are a completely different issue... I don't use HD, so can't say anything about editing those files
Go to my notes page http://www.pacifier.com/~jtsmith/ADOBE.HTM
Click the internal link for editing compressed files... read, there are some ideas & links there, including some links to other programs that have been mentioned in the Premiere forum as being better suited to editing MPG files... if you want to edit a divx file, start at http://www.divx.com/
If you only have DVD type files, you should convert to DV AVI type 2 or use different software... go to the VideoHelp link in my notes and look for a program to convert... but do be aware that converting from a HIGHLY compressed viewing format back to an editing format is going to cause a drop in quality
    PS -
To work with AC3 sound files in Premiere CS3, copy the ad2ac3dec.dll file from the Encore CS3 directory into the Premiere directory
For a Firewire DV Camera - look at Panasonic PV-GS320 or GS500 (Note that I have not used either, but they have good reviews)

  • Where Can I Download Offline Help Files for Creative Cloud?

The heading says it all. I am not always connected to the internet and, in any event, I find the on-line help annoying and tedious. I can only find PDF help files for CS4, where can I get them for CS6?

That is not off-line help, it is simply a PDF file full of links to on-line resources. It is next to useless. I want to be able to look at teh help document and get answers to questions, not links to answers.

  • Since the last Creative Cloud update...

When I open Adobe Muse after I just updated the Crative Cloud, it says it cannot find my user/ and asks if I want it deleted from recent sites? How can I fix this?

    Hi,
As per the error message, it looks like you are trying to open some site from the Recent Site menu, which doesn't exist physically on your system or has been moved its original physical location. Please try to locate the .muse file on your system and try to open it directly by clicking it.

  • Computer running slooooow since I installed Creative Cloud

I installed Creative Cloud a few months ago on a MacBook Pro, running 10.7.5, with a 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB of ram and about 100GB of available hard drive space. It's driving me crazy. I'm wondering if there is a setting in Cloud that is constantly scanning for updates or wi-fi, or if anyone else is having this issue. It's like old-school slow waiting for files to process. In most software, i.e. Photoshop, Bridge, excel, Word. Also Firefox.

Please do not worry. You can just download it from Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps.
You have to activate it with your Adobe ID.
In case the CC has been activated two time, you will have to use the option to deactivate the CC from previous install .This prompt will appear when you will try to activate the CC. Once you choose this option it will allow you to activate the CC on the new machine.
