Campaign creation : selecting a busines partner then hierarchy node

In MSA 4 SP8, while creating a Campaign, if I first select the Client Type as "Business Partner" then change to "Hierarchy Node", when I save it tells me that the Business Partner field is not correct, though I told it to choose the other option (which was correctly filled).
I believe it is the fact that the BP object persists, how can I force the system to ignore it if I don't need it ? (or, destroy it so it is not even checked)

I am working in 2004s as well (SP11) and I am trying to do the same type of thing.
I have multiple cost center hieriarchies that the user can choose from at run-time using the hierachy variable.
Then once the user chooses to the hierarchy they then should go choose a specific node that they want to run for in that hierarchy using the Cost Center Hierarchy Node variable (using the hierarchy variable, not fixed hierarchy).
When I run this in the web I am allowed to choose one of the multiple cost center hierarchies... this means that the hierarchy variable is working, however when i go to choose the specific cost center node for that hierarchy it uses the defult cost center hierarchy instead of the one selected in the selection screen.
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

When i open the query and execute it. and select the filter area for hierarchy nodes. The include and exclude selection is disabled in 3.5x analyzer. We are using BI 7.0 with SP 12. we just upgraded.
Can you please help. is this functionality not available?

Hi Rob, you can do that for the query (the exclude selection) on the Query Designer. But its not recomended on performance point of view.

I am new to creating Hierarchy structures, my Master Data Hierarchy Loads Process chain is failing at 0WBS_ELEMT with Error Message "Node ID 00019537 has not been included in the hierarchy". can any one please Explanin step by step for adding this node to 0WBS_ELEMT.

for adding the node go to the Infobject maintainance screengo to Hierarch tab- go to Maintain hierarchy. there select your hierachy and then change. it shows the available structure there u can add ur required node.and then execute the Process chain

BPC Excel: Select hierarchy nodes & exclude an account within

Hello All
u2013 in EVDRE, is there a way to define a column selection for a account hierarchy node, however exclude one of the accounts within this group? THis is simmilar to BEX query, where you can select a hierarchy node and then also select to exclude a member within.
EG From the account hierarchy below, select the hierarchy node u2013 u2018group1u2019 , however exclude account 2.
Account Hierarchy
     Hierarchy - group1
          Account1
          Account2
          Account3
          Account4
I have a couple of different column definitions, so this definition would need to be defined inside the column header area & not in the column member set.

Firstly, thanks for your reply, much appreciated. One of the requirements is to have multiple column definitions in my report. To achieve this, i was planning to define the definitions inside the columns and adjust the colkeyrange to include all column definitions. This would mean that i would not use the column expansion and hence not have access to the suppress function.
Is there a way of including the suppress function in a column definition?
EG Include hierarchy node 'Parent - Group1" and exclude 'Account2'

Dynamically Selecting Hierarchy Nodes for each year

I have a strange query requirement. I am having a hierarchy which is divided based on region, quarter and marketing campaign.
Like below:
APAC
         2010 Q1
               Brand Marketing                      M09/2010-000074 (Node Technical Name)
               Brand Advertising                   M09/2010-000075
               Events                                     M09/2010-000082
EMEA
         2010 Q1
               Brand Marketing                     M09/2010-000084

In my report output, I need to display the data in the below format. The Brand Marketing is cumilative of all regions (APAC, EMEA, NA).
                                               Approved Amt
Brand Marketing                    $2000
Brand Advertising                 $1300
Events                                   $8430
But my issue is next quarter the node technical names will change. So next quarter, my query should pick the nodes of current quarter based on node description.
Right now what we are doing is hard coding in query the node technical names and modifying the query definition every quarter. After that download the query in Excel and apply excel formulae to cumulate the Brand Marketing, Brand Advertising, Events of all the regions. Then we will mail those files to Users.
But we want to avoid that manual activity.
Is there any way that we can enable query pick the marketing campaigns of current quarter and cumulate then for all regions
Please let me know whether there is any alternative.

We are having a level based hierarchy, so the member key settings are disabled. Will they be helpful in case of level based hierarchy?

Run Time Error when trying to select hierarchy node

Hy all,
the situation is the following:
i attempt to create a variable of type "hierarchy node" (for cost center cha) in my planning area, i used the replacement type "user defined value", check on "input allowed by user" and then i create the user entry, in selection condition i run match code and when i try to select a single cost center (not a hierarchy node) expanding the hierarchy tree the system goes dump with the following message:
Runtime Errors MESSAGE_TYPE_X
Error analysis
Short text of error message:
Program is inconsistent -> see long text
Technical information about the message:
Diagnosis:
An inconsistent program status has occurred. The program cannot be continued.
System response:
The system crashes.
Procedure
 1. Look in OSS for a note under the error message UPC099.
 2. When you open a problem message, send the first pages of the
 system crash message including the section 'Source code excerpt
 ' with the message.
 Procedure for System Administration
 Message classe...... "UPC"
 Number.............. 099
Selecting a hierarchy node (not a single cost center but a text node grouping more cost conter) this problem does not occur.
I appreciate (and reward) any hints.

No applicable data : when selecting hierarchy node on 0GLACCEXT

I using the ZCUBE (Copy of virtual cube 0FIGL_V10).
I have data for the 0GLACCEXT hierarchy (standard hierarchy tech name: INT, and also for custom hierarchies)
From the moment we use a selection in the rows on a node within the hierarchy of the financial statement item : 0GLACCEXT, the result is No applicable data.
We are using the standard calculated key figure Balance sheet Value.
If i use the hierarchy (for INT) as a whole, we get data. If i restrict with hierarchy nodes for INT, then 'No Applicable Data'.
for the other custom hierarchies, i'm getting same result, i.e. 'No Applicable Data'.
Can somebody help with this issue.

Find out whethere data exists actually for the nade by executing the data for all the hierarchy nodes and find out whether data is coming when you execute for some other nodes

Hierarchy Node Variables in Selection Screen

Hi Experts!
I have a hierarchy Node variables of InfoObject in BEx. When I execute the report, I choose Hierarchy variables in Selection screen of BEx Web. I see all of attributes of infoObject, I want to reject all of those.
Suppose that: In infoObject 0COSTCENTER has attributes (Controlling Area, BusinessArea, CompanyCode, ProfitCenter u2026.), I donu2019t need to see those attributes of Costcenter when I choose node in Hierarchy variables. I only want to get the CostCenter. Please some advise to solve that issue or how can I do that?

Try This:
Double click on the info object
then go to the Hierarchy Tab
here u find a button of External Char in hierarchies
Click on this
On right hand side u find some of the attributes of the info object
place them on left hand side
Execute it & activate the Info object.

I have made the following customizing settings to activate customer integration with business partner, but the problem is when I create a BP with a role (FI-Customer) the customer is not created automatically.
1. Set BP Role Category for Direction BP to Customer
Roles: FLCU00 - Business Partner FI Customer (FS: BP)
FLCU01 - Business Partner Customer (FS: BP)
2. Defined the Number assignment for Direction BP to customer
4. Customer account group and numbering is also defined.
3. Created a BP with BP Role FLCU00, I can see the Customer - General Data tab, but no customer was automatically generated by the system.
Kindly let me know if any customizing I have missed.

Currently, I can copy ONE tab's url and nothing else (not its name). Or I can bookmark all tabs that are open. You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.

 I am using Characteristic "0PROFIT_CTR" : PROFIT CENTER
 Here, I created used SAP Standard variable 0N_PCTR (Profit Center/Profit Center Hierarchy)
 This meets my requirement of allowing User to Input the TOP MOST Hierarchy Node basically means my Hierarchy.
 Now, what I need is the ability of a User Input/Key In Variable to ask for a specific Node of my Hierarchy instead of just the 'main' hierarchy
Let me demonstrate with an example :-
At the moment, I have a variable defined for "0PROFIT_CTR". So, I am able to choose "XXX GROUP" as my hierarchy.
Now, under this "XXX Group" I have several Sub-Nodes like XXX-Functional Groups ; XXX-Business Units; XXX-Subsidaries.
How can I create a variable which prompts for this Subnodes of my hierarchy ?

Selection screen for Hierarchy Node Variable

I Have an issue with Hierarchy Node Variable , in my selection screen the for an info object , Z_ACCT i have a Hierarchy Node Varable it only displays Text on F4 help , i want to desplay both Text and Key , i check in the Info Object bex setting it is set as Text and Key, so if any one can throw some lite on it, it will be of grt help.

from iMovie I select share iDVD, and then mouse spins forever......
Note: this only occurs for one of my movies, because the other iMovie projects open iDVD ok. I have also tried an archived copy of this movie and the same problem occurs. I notice in the backgound that iMovie is access iDVD for a long time (2-3 minutes), and then I can access iMovie again. However iDVD spins the mouse forever until I Option-Apple-Escape and end iDVD.
I am running:
iMovie Ver.# 6.03(267.2) and
iDVD Ver.# 6.04(797)
1) Is the problem iMovie or iDVD or the specific iMovie file which could be corrupted? Should I try and export this corrupted iMovie file into another file name?
2) Can I reset the preferences for iMovie and iDVD? And how do I do that?
3) Can I re-install iMovie and/or iDVD, and do I use my original DVD?

a. I don't ever use the Share/Export to iDVD from within iMovie.
I do.
• close iMovie
• open iDVD
• Import or just drop the movie into iDVD
b. Clearing iDVD
• Delete iDVD pref file
• Start iDVD
• Start a new project
Else read.
*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:*
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disk is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Delete iDVD pref file - *or rather start a new user/account* - log into this and re-try
• Program miss-match: iDVD 5.0.2, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK - DON’T work under Leopard
• Program miss-match: iDVD 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• Program miss-match: iDVD’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• iDVD (08) v7 Locate theme folder. Move out iDVD1, iDVD 2 and eventually iDVD4 folders to desktop - re-try
• Try a Cleaning CD/DVD that cleans the laser lens on the DVD burner/player
iDVD 6.0.4 and iDVD 7.0.1 are compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
iDVD pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences and is named:
com.apple.iDVD.plist
While iDVD is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iDVD.
Last resort: from Craig: Solved the problem!! Finally!!
I deleted every iDVD application and folder from my boot drive,
emptied the trash and then installed iDVD 08 using the customize option
and I am up and running.
