Campaign Creation

Hello,
I am creating a Campaign using SAP CRM 7.0 Web UI. I am trying to create Email campaign. I created tactic using SPRO and make an Email tactic. But when I am creating camping under Web UI, the only tactics show up is "Tradeshow" under type "Product Promotion" and Objective "Awareness". How I can see Email also. Please help.

I am not sure I understand what you need. Is 'E-mail' a tactic? under which 'type' of campaign?
This is the basic procedure for creating campaings:
1 - Create objectives: CRM - Marketing - Mkt planning... - Basic Data - Define objectives (goals)
Example: Customer retention
2 - Create tactics: CRM - Marketing - Mkt planning... - Basic Data - Define tactics
Example: E-mail, Visits, Phone call, etc.
3 - Create Campaign type: CRM - Marketing - Mkt planning... - Basic Data - Define types/objectives/tatics
Example: Z01 - General Campaign
3.1 Attribute the objectives and tatics, for example:
Type: General Campaign
Objectives: Customer Retention
Tactics: E-mail and Visits
So, on WEB UI, if you select campaing type 'General Campaign' you will see value 'Customer Retention' for objectives and 'E-mail' and 'Visits' for field tactcs.

Dear Ganesh,
As campaign can be created and executed individually also, it will never check for higher level project ID.
Let me check the system if we can block creation of campaign individually, without having a higher level marketing plan.

How to add the Partners in parties involved for the campaign creation via code

We have a requirement wherein we are creating the coupon campaign. We need to add few partners under Parties involved. Can anyone help me as this is different from other CRM order creation.

Campaign creation : selecting a busines partner then hierarchy node

Hello
In MSA 4 SP8, while creating a Campaign, if I first select the Client Type as "Business Partner" then change to "Hierarchy Node", when I save it tells me that the Business Partner field is not correct, though I told it to choose the other option (which was correctly filled).
I believe it is the fact that the BP object persists, how can I force the system to ignore it if I don't need it ? (or, destroy it so it is not even checked)

I am working in 2004s as well (SP11) and I am trying to do the same type of thing.
I have multiple cost center hieriarchies that the user can choose from at run-time using the hierachy variable.
Then once the user chooses to the hierarchy they then should go choose a specific node that they want to run for in that hierarchy using the Cost Center Hierarchy Node variable (using the hierarchy variable, not fixed hierarchy).
When I run this in the web I am allowed to choose one of the multiple cost center hierarchies... this means that the hierarchy variable is working, however when i go to choose the specific cost center node for that hierarchy it uses the defult cost center hierarchy instead of the one selected in the selection screen.
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Here in you have to define an RFC connection to your SEM/BI system.
In this step you define the connection of the CRM system to each of the
external systems (ERP, BI, SEM, and cProjects). The following options
are available to you:
Identification       Parameter type          RFC Destination
MKTPL BW             MKTPLBWRFC             (entry of your RFC
destination for BI )
MKTPLCPRO            MKTPLCPRORFC           (entry of your RFC
destination for cProjects)
MKTPLR3              MKTPLR3RFC             (entry of your RFC
destination for ERP )
MKTPLSEM             MKTPLSEMRFC            (entry of your RFC
destination for SEM)
MKTPLMB              MKTPLMBRFC             (entry of your RFC

You adopt the RFC destinations from the activity Define RFC Connections.
Note
o   The entries MKTPL BW and MKTPLSEM are mandatory. With BI 3.51 and

     connection to BI, since the planning tool Business Planning and
     Simulation (BPS), which is used in the Marketing Planner, no longer
     belongs to SEM as of this release and has been integrated into SAP

Campaign creation with authorisation group in crm_mktpl

Hi ,
Can anyone suggest me how to create a campaign in the marketing planner with an authorization given to it.
Whether I need to configure any authorization group inorder to display that particular authorization group in the marketing planner in the Tab field Basic data Authorisation group List box.
Please say the procedure how to maintain it.

Hi Priya,
If you want to use the authorization groups to restrict access to campaigns, follow these steps
1. Define the authorization groups in
IMG->Customer Relationship Management->Marketing->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->General settings->Define Authorization Group
2. Use these values in the "Authorization Group" field of the "Basic Data" tab in Marketing planner.
3. Create a role and use the authorization object CRM_CPGAGR to restrict access to certain authorization groups for the user
This should help you to restrict the access to campaign based on the authorization groups.

Email Campaign Creation

Is there a way to create e-mail content and use it in emails from our own company email address?

And this is supposed to mean what? Sorry, but this is a completely hollow/ empty post with no real content or meaning whatsoever. If you have specific questions, you need to do a better job of explaining what actually your problem is and how, if at all, it relates to Adobe software. And well, do your homework and do some reading up on a more general level about how to create e-mail blasts and what possibly the limitations and requirements are to successfully get it to your clients.

Creation of production campaign and deletion of orders from campaign

Hi APO Gurus,
This is regarding campaign creation for a set or group of orders.
I have a group of orders in a z table, I want to create a campaign in PP/DS by using Heuristic : /sapapo/heur_pcm_create.
Can I do this without going to DS board, Simply by calling the above given function module in a z program?
Similarly , in another table if I have a set of orders , which are already part of a campaign.
Can I remove those orders from the Campaign by using heuristic : /SAPAPO/HEUR-PCM_Dissolve , without going to DS Board.

Automatic Activity Creation during the Campaign Execution

Hi Experts,
I have the following requirement.
If I run a campaign then a corresponding activity should be created in the CRM system.
Ex; If a mail Invitation to a Tradeshow is sent to 10 customers then 10 Activities should be created for each of the 10 Customers.
Does anyone know how to achieve this.
We are using SAP CRM 2007

Hi,
First create Activity Template for activity.
Under communication medium define followings:
Communication Medium: ZXXX - Email/Activities
Communication Methods and Transaction Types
Priority 7 - () Generate Contact - assign Transaction type (Activity Template)
Define Communication Methods for BP-Determined
3 Internet Mail (SMTP)
7 Generate Contact - assign Transaction type (Activity Template)
During Campaign creation under Channel you need to fill 'Email Form' assignment
also fill Activity template.
Once Campaign ready for execution, click on button, it will send email and also create activities using template for those BPs included in segment.

How to create a profile set for a campaign.

I am working on CRM 7.0.
My requirement is to create a Batch program for campaign creation and automation.
i have used the class 'cl_crm_mktpl_appl_base' to copy the existing campaign .
It copied the entire target groups,campaign elements, profile sets.
My requirement is for the created campaign id, i need to create a profile set in that i need to create target goups.
Fm : BAPI_PROFILESET_CREATE is not helpful for me in my case.bacause it is asking parent guid ..etc...
I have ony one guid ,ie. campaign guid . if i give this in parent guid it is thriwing error.
can any suggest how to create a custom profile set.
If any one worked on this batch program please reply to this thread.

Campaign dates / call list dates

Hi,
What incidence is there on setting some dates in a campaign and others in my call list ?
I know that in the call list, the dates détermine the following :
Completed by : Date or time when call list should be completed by. If the call list is not completed by this date, it is considered overdue or past due.
Stop on : Date or time when processing should end for the call list. If no dates are specified, then the call list can be executed anytime.
Start on : Date or time when processing should begin for the call list. If no dates are specified, then the call list can be executed anytime.
But what if I created my campaign generating my call list on start/end dates that are different from the call list. Is there any repercussion? What do the campaign dates have effect on?

Answer half tested :
If "Start planned" date in campaign creation is entered
=> it automatically sets the same date in the call lists in "start on"
If "End planned" date in campaign creation is entered
=> it automatically sets the same date in the call list in "completed by"
The dates can however still be changed in the call list section afterwards.
If anyone has any input on what other influence Campaign dates can have, would be welcome

Mails forms in Campaign Management

I need to create a new mail for for the camapaign management.
I have created a new mail form for the campaign, using the Attributes, Address and BP NO
In Campaign creation under the Channel, Communication is selected as Email and in the Form: my mail form is displaying. When I try to execute,Error : TREX is not configured.
please let me know how to configure this mail forms in sap crm 7 in campaign mgt, or whether some steps has been missed out by me.

In case of HV segmentation, may be you can check whether the TREX settings are maintained for the object ID : BPARTNER
Path :CRM ->Marketing->Segmentation->High Volume Segmentation ->Define RFC Destination and Settings for TREX Index
