Campaign Recipient Load from Segmentation Wizard

Good morning,
I have watched the Webinar on Segmentation wizard many times...it CLEARLY says that the upload tests for duplicates...but it CLEARLY ALLOWS dupliates to be loaded to a campaign. Can someone clarify its ability to do so?
It also seems that if you massage the data (I added a column to test for dups) and then deleted it....I then got an error trying to upload the recipients...."i do not have access to the contacts"....when I created a new list without adding and deleting the column...I did not get the error...
Finally, the Contains None of the Values....should EXCLUDE the values in the filter...as a contains...well....I said "contains none of the values" aol.com and it returned 425 records with email that contains aol.com (this was the only criteria for the query)....please assist.

Thank you for the submitting the inconsistency with the training material and the system. When you say that "contains none of the values" you are telling me it only works explicitly? The documentation also says that the contains should find all instances where "aol.com" exists...obiviously one cannot list each individual email.

Segmentation Wizard seems to have a glitch when updating the result set

has anyone noticed some inconsistency when you create a new segment, retrieve the results then you manually go and remove some of them then upload them to a planned campaign.
i queried for all contacts for a company and it resulted in 100 contacts, i manually reduced the list to 29 (i am included in the list) as there is no way to use the filter to get these 20. i upload them to my planned campaign. i schedule the campaign to go out at noon. I receive the campaign email. i open the email. I have one person who replied to the campaign email (to me). The next day, i gather the results and only 4 people shows that they did a MESSAGE OPEN. and i am not one of them nor the person who forwarded his email to me.
I am baffled. This has happened to me a lot when using the segmentation wizard tool. I wonder now how accurate the responses are?

thanks for the reply. i think its an unacceptable explanation (from Oracle) though that a recipient gets the email, can see and read the email but since he did not click on the CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES, it does not get registered. It seems like an application restriction more than a logical reason cause logically if person gets the email and is able to read the email, it should be considered as MESSAGE OPENED, otherwise it should be RECIPIENT CLICK ON DOWNLOAD :)
for a marketing company where you are tracking how many people were able to view your email, this count is very important and since a lot of people are now using view panes in their outlook and dont click on the CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES especially if the email just has text in them and no apparent pictures, the MESSAGE VIEWED count is very unreliable.
i sent an email to 20 people in my company and i know that they all opened and saw them but the status shows only 40% viewed so the numbers are really undependable.

Diagnosis
The segment E1RSSH does not occur at the current level of the basic type (extension ).
This error can have several reasons:
The segment E1RSSH is assigned to a group whose header segment does not occur.
The segment E1RSSH does not exist in the syntax description of the basic type (extension ).
The sequence of segments in the group in which the segment appears is incorrect.
Previous errors ('mandatory' segment or group missing) may be due to this error.
Procedure
Please check the IDoc or the syntax description of the basic type (extension ).

The most basic setting in a BW system is its connectivity with the R/3 system (which is a basis team activity, but BI consultant can always help).
Issue: While creating source system, I am getting an error "Segment E1RSSH does not exist".
Diagnosis
Segment E1RSSH is in the syntax description, but it does not exist.
The issue was that some of the entries in the table EDISEGMENT were missing.
As this a standard table, it is recommended to restore the table from Backup or from another BI system. (Please ask your basis team to do it.)
Now, the significance of the segments: We all know that we require 3 message types in total to communicate with R/3 system. RSRQST, RSSEND and RSINFO.
Now each of the message types has some segments which help in communication.
You can see this segment types in the t-code we30. Just enter the basic idoc type and click on display.
This error is not a common error, but can be useful if at any stage of implementation or support, the table gets disturbed and you have issues with source system connectivity.

Random Bingads WSDL errors: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from...failed to load external entity, Could not connect to host, Parsing Schema: can't import schema from

Hi,
I am developing a web tool that accesses client's Bingads accounts via OAUTH2 granting. I am downloading data from clients daily.
Generally it worked, but for 2 days I am experiencing a weird issue, that in random times (but more and more often though) I receive random error messages from Bing server. I am pasting below a few example from my logs (with timestamp and request/response).
Must note that I launch these requests from the server where we have the webapp but also I launch it locally. The same is the result.
The timestamp is in France time (GMT+1).

Hi,
1. I am using the older version of the PHP library provided by Bing (updated on 1/20/2014), so that is doing the WSDL loadings. I initialize the proxy calling OpticoBingAdsClientProxy providing what it needs, and then do the requests.
2. I have a cron that reads data from client's accounts. I make several calls, like get search query report, get keyword performance report, get keyword bulk data. As the script progressed the first 2 worked and the third gave error. Or in other cases the
first request failed. The calls have quite some time in between them since I process data (sometimes even 160 seconds)
3. I did not change the code ion terms of requests, since as I said I use the PHP library (same credentials, ...).
As of today (2015-01-16 10:30 GMT + 2) running my script, still have the same issues.

Loading from source using DBLink

Hello all,
I am trying to load from a table which I can connect using only a DBLink. I have a DB link created to a remote schema.
OWB : 10gR2; Oracle DB (local and target) : 10g R2; Oracle DB (remote - Source):9i R2.
I created a source with the following steps:
- I created a normal location (host:port:service) to connect to my local DB where I have the DB link to connect to remote DB.
- I created a source with a new location (dblink connection) using the above location and selecting the DB link.
- The above step created a location just for the data, for the metadata, owb forced me to create another location- Hence created another source using the same location created in 1 and selecting the DBlink.
- Using the above, I was able to connect to the source and import the required Views and MVs.
Next, I created mapping using this source. When I deploy the mapping, I get an error, "table or view does not exist". The script is not using the location detail at all.
I did try registering the location manually (though they will be deployed while deploying the mapping), still it did not help.
Any ideal please?

I tried creating all over again.
The location which is created using the Database link as the location type is not listed in the 'Metadata location' tab of the source module editor.
Alternatively I also created the source module and when the create module wizard prompts me for the location, I selected the location that was created with the DBlink as the location type and finally when click Finish, I get a message 'API2421: A metadata location is not defined for the module. Import cannot continue without a metadata location. To continue with import, select ok and a metadata location will be created'.
When I proceed here, a new location is created and I am prompted for the connection details. I created this also as DBlink type and then the import takes place.
I go back and open the editor for the source module, I still don't see this location which was created by OWB.
Is this some kind of bug or am I missing something.
Please respond as early as possible.

Anyone Locked a generated SO by item/header when loading from ORDERS05?

Has anyone managed to sucessfully locked a generated Sales Order when Loading from an IDOC of type ORDERS05?. I create a lock at the item level if necessary, but for some reason it zeroises the item Qty, almost as though there was no Schedule segment supplied, which there is.
Anyone hit this same problem and overcome it?.

If you read the above trace from bottom to top, it shows none of you classes, only classes from that Eclipse library, which seems to loadLibrary() a native DLL. In order to do this, it needs to call System.getProperty( "sun.arch.data.model" ). This call is not allowed from un unsigned applet. So I guess you need to sign the applet and this problem will go away. Many other problems may follow. Just read very very carefully all the related documentation, which I did not.

SSIS packages deployment error- The package failed to load due to error 0xC0011008 Error loading from XML

I am trying to deploy SSIS packages to file system using manifest file. These packages are upgraded from SSDT 2005 to SSDT 2010. Also I have changed the protection level from 'EncryptSensitiveWithPassword' to 'DontSaveSensitive' to upgrade it.
I coun't complete the deployment and the error details shown below.

Segmentation Wizard - External Segments

We are having problems with using External Segments (csv file) in Segmentation Wizard. When we use an exteral list - and run SW - the list that populates has only a few contacts or none. I am not sure why it is not pulling the complete list.

Interestingly there does appear to be a bug somewhere as there seems to be a consistent loss of between 20 and 40 contacts when using segmentation wizard and an external segment. My problem is that we are taking an external contact list (not already on CRM), loading the contact list so the contacts are on CRM and then using the same list as an external segment for Segmentation Wizard. Because it is an external segment we do not have the Row IDs. We have just fed it the email address but even then we consistently fail to find 20 to 40 records out of about 400. And these are not duplicates either - we have checked.

Loading from CLASSPATH

We are developed an application module using Business Componente JSP Application wizard
When i execute tha main.jsp pages i have the next error

Where can i put this file or what solutions there are for this problem ?

Did you rebuild your JSP project?
In your JSP project, you should see a file called pkg1_Pkg1Module.properties. When you select Make or Rebuild, this file gets copied to your myclasses directory. I suggest you rebuild your project and try running it again.

How to load from a data model located in SharePointOnline/PowerBI?

PowerPivot has the option to load 'From Analysis Services Or PowerPivot'.
The Table Import Wizard usually expects the full path of the workbook (including the data model) in SharePoint.
However, 'http://myname.sharepoint.com/shared documents/myfile.xlsx' doesn't work.
How can I access my online data model from PowerPivot ?

SharePoint needs to have Power Pivot Enabled. Speak to your SharePoint Admin if you have any questions about that. Once enabled, you would be able to create a Power Pivot Gallery - where you can upload your Power Pivot Models. Once uploaded the easiest way
is to go to the Gallery and click on the "Excel" button next to the model. This would provide you a connection to the file on SharePoint.

Form are different when save an exist form as XML then load from XML

Hi everyone,
Who have experience that save an exist form as XML file then load from XML, some controls position, size and color different with the source form.
I want to use the system wizard form style and I saved system form MRP Wizard as XML file, when I load form from XML, the form shows picture with different position, size, the rectangle control lost color and position also different with source form, because I want to get the line color in the form, the separate line implement using rectangle, please share your opinion how to save the form as XML more Accurate.

After loading a form over XML, we made the experince that in matrices link buttons will not appear everwehere they should. It's a tricky part and we made a work around by changing the columns order and then...the Link Buttons came up ok.

Segmentation Wizard and Checkboxes

Hi all,
I've tried searching this forum for an answer to this but haven't able to find one. I have created a checkbox to indicate whether a contact/client receives our quarterly newsletter. In other words, I want to be able to quickly generate a list of all customers that have this checkbox checked.
However, I have not been able to query against this checkbox in the Segmentation Wizard. What condition and field values do I need to set to query a (customized) checkbox? It appears in my list of fields but thus far all my attempts have not worked (I've tried, Field value = "Yes", "Y", "Checked", "checked"...). Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm asking specifically about querying with the Segmentation Wizard -- it's an Excel plugin that allows you to query the database any way you want and then upload the contacts into a CRM campaign. I've found it pretty easy and useful to use thus far, but I'm not able to query on our custom built checkbox field (at the contact level). I'm not sure if it's simple user error or if there is another issue.

Chinese characters scrambled when loading from DS to BW

Hi, I've been pulling my hair out with this issue.
I have a flat file containing Chinese text. When I load this in BW using 'FLATFILE' as a source system, it works fine. BW shows the correct Chinese characters.
When I do the same load using BODI, I get funny characters.
When I use BODI to load from one flat file into another flat file, the Chinese characters remain correct.
What do I need to do to make sure I get the right Chinese characters in BW when loading from BODI?
BODI is installed on Unix on Oracle 10.
I run the jobs as batch processes.
The dsconfig.txt has got:
AL_Engine=<default>_<default>.<default>
There are no locale settings in al_env.sh
BW target is UTF-8 codepage.
File codepage is BIG5-HKSCS
BODI is set up as a Unicode system in SAP BW.
When loading flat file to flat file, I get a message:
DATAFLOW: The specified locale <eng_gb.iso-8859-1> has been coerced to <Unicode (UTF-16)
because the datastore <TWIN_FF_CUSTOMER_LOCAL> obtains data in <BIG5-HKSCS> codepage.
JOB: Initializing transcoder for datastore <TWIN_FF_CUSTOMER_LOCAL> to transcode between
engine codepage<Unicode (UTF-16)> and datastore codepage <BIG5-HKSCS>
When loading to BW the messages are almost the same, but now the last step in UTF-16 to UTF-8.
I read the wiki post which definitely helped me to understand the rationale behind code page, but now I ran out of ideas what else to check ( http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Multiple+Codepages )

Data packages or InfoPackages are missing in BI but there were no apparent processing errors in the source system. It is therefore probable that there was an error in the data transfer.
The analysis tried to read the ALE outbox of the source system. This lead to error .
It is possible that there is no connection to the source system.
Procedure
Check the TRFC overview in the source system.
Check the connection to the source system for errors and check the authorizations and profiles of the remote user in both the BI and source systems.
Check th ALE outbox of the source system for IDocs that have not been updated.

Full load from a DSO to a cube processes less records than available in DSO

We have a scenario, where every Sunday I have to make a full load from a DSO with OnHand Stock information to a cube, where I register on material and stoer level a counter if there is stock available.
The DTP has no filters at all and has a semantic group on 0MATERIAL and 0PLANT.
The key in the DSO is:
0MATERIAL
0PLANT
0STOCKTYPE
0STOR_LOC
0BOM
of which only 0MATERIAL, 0PLANT and 0STORE_LOC are later used in the transformation.
As we had a growing number of records, we decided to delete in the START routine all records, where the inventory is not GT zero, thus eliminating zero and negative inventory records.
Now comes the funny part of the story:
Prior to these changes I would [in a test system, just copied from PROD] read some 33 million of records and write out the same amount of records. Of course, after the change we expected to write out less. To my total surprise I was reading now however 45 million of records with the same unchanged DTP, and writing out the expected less records.
When checking the number of records in the DSO I found the 45 million, but cannot explain why in the loads before we only retrieved some 33 millions from the same unchanged amount of records.
When checking in PROD - same result: we have some 45 million records in the DSO, but when we do the full load from the DSO to the cube the DTP only processes some 33 millions.
What am I missing - is there a compression going on? Why would the amount of records in a DSO differ from the amount of records processed in the DataPackgages when I am making a FULL load without any filter restrictions and only a semantic grouping in place for parts of the DSO key?

I did check if there were more/any loads doen inbetween - there were none in the test system. As I mentioned that it was a new copy from PROD to TEST, I compared the number of entries in the DSO and that seems to be a match between TEST and PROD, ok a some more in PROD but they can be accounted for. In test I loaded the day before the changes were imported to have a comparison, and between that load and the one ofter the changes were imported nothing in the DSO was changed.
Both DTPs in TEST and PW2 load from actived DSO [without archive]. The DTPs were not changed in quite a while - so I ruled that one out. Same with activation of data in the DSO - this DSO get's loaded and activated in PROD daily via process chain and we load daily deltas into the cube in question. Only on Sundays, for the begin of the new week/fiscal period, we need to make a full load to capture all materials per site with inventory. The deltas loaded during the week are less than 1 million, but the difference between the number of records in the DSO and the amount processed in the DataPackages is more than 10 millions per full load even in PROD.
I really appreciated the knowledgable answer, I just wished you would pointed out something that I missed out on.
