Campaigns and Target Groups

I'm trying to extract information about target groups and related campaigns to BW from CRM. I was initally looking at 0CRM_TGBPCT but this was extracting only one record and I found an associated OSS note (No 717539) to it recommending the use of another datasource called 0CRM_CONTACT_OUT. I tried using this datasource but when I test it even in CRM (RSA3) it says 0 records. I know data is in there though.
Would someone be able to shed some light on this and be able to give me any tips on the same.

Hi to all,
I've the same problem when load data with datasource 0CRM_TGBPCT.
If I extract from RSA3 retrive the correct data but if I extract directly from BW the system load only 1 record!!!
please anyone help me?
P.S.: The remote user for the connection have already SAPALL authorization!

alternatively to check table CRMD_ORDERADM_H directly you can use the related transactions search for the campaign:
This should bring all activities generated by the campaign. If this is empty first check the job log of the campaign execution job again:
This gives information if any target group members have business transactions created. If the log does not contain the required information you can debug from SM37. The business transactions (activities, leads, sales orders) are generated from function module CRM_MKTTGGRP_PROC_CREATE.

Combine Profiles and Target Groups -Segmentation

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I will need to join profiles with other profiles and Target groups. I checked in help.sap and I saw the following sentence regarding combining the profiles.
In addition to attributes, you can also combine profiles with other profiles and with target groups.
Example
You select a profile from the components area, drag it onto an existing profile in the staging area and choose keep. The resulting profile contains the attributes contained in both profiles as inclusive conditions.
How do I get the Profiles and the Target groups in the Components area? I can only view the existing Attribute lists. Is there any setting that I have to make to see the existing profiles and target groups ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

=> You could have 2 profiles in a profileset and create the target group for the complete profileset. Then the results are "OR combined".
=> Alternatively you can create a new profile which consists of all attributes and create a target group for this profile.
Scenario 2) If we have 2 profiles and a target group in a profile set how do I create a Target Group for all the BP's in the Profile set. The only selection criteria in the Graphic Modeller for me right now is Attribute lists. How do I select Target Groups and Profiles

Segmentation and Target groups

Hi,
Is there a way to create sub-sets of Target Groups so that whenever users run a campaign, the system does not have to go back todatabase tables to filter data, but it is done in sub-sests only to enhance system performance.

Change Management and Target Group in STMS

Hello, We use the Change Management (SolMan 4.0). Up to now it works fine. We deliver always one client in the System (E33.002; T33.002 and P33.002). Now we try to change this. We will deliver more than one client in every system at the same time (to have always the same status in every client). So we use Target groups in STMS. This works fine if I do the transports manualy. But if I try to do it with the change management it doesn't work. The change management still deliver one client (002).
Can someone give me a hint?

Transport Layers and Target Groups

Hello,
Can one transport layer be assigned to two different target groups? We have some number range changes that are automatically trying to go to our FIX_QAX target group since it is config, however, the transport cannot be generated because the config is part of package KEG0 which is set up currently as part of the SAP layer which only handles the FIX_IND target group. I was thinking of making the SAP layer go to both target groups FIX_QAX & FIX_IND. Is there any danger of this?

i think we can't assing a transport layer to 2 different target groups. and, even connection b/n 2 target groups is not possible. i am not sure, if we can use the same transport layer (SAP) twice.
the alternative way is.. manually (copy the data file and cofile in the other tranport domain) import the request.

View List of BP's in Segmentation Basis and Target Groups

Hi Experts,
We are using Segmentation Basis for Segmentation. When I create the Segmentation Basis using WINGUI I see that the list of Business partners in the Segmentation Basis is around 15,000 but I can view only 100 of them in the List output. Is there any other way where I can see all the BP's that are assigned to a Segmentation Basis/Master group.
I have a similar issue with the Target Group members in a Target group. The Target Group to file export will save the file to an application server to which all the users will not access . Is there any alternate method to view all the BP's in a Target group other than the file export to the application server.

I have the same problem with segmentation basis.
I have created a segementation basis for certain number of targetgroup example: 500 members
When i am trying to create a new profile set by selelecting the created segementation basis , no target group was displayed and it is showing as Zero. but the target group is displaying in SAP GUI.
Is anything i am missing , can you please let me know the steps for segementation basis procedure and how we can use them for further segementation.

Hi Rika,
You will find campaign detials in table CGPL_TASK. Use function module CRM_MKTTG_TG_READ to get all bp's belong to target group.

CHaRM - Target group and Virtual System

Hi,
Could anyone let me know if Virtual System and target groups could be used with CHaRM?
Current set up with three systems/clients works fine, however, for a new project with active STMS version with target group and virtual system, even the task list is unable to be created.

I have created a Profile set and Target groups in the profile set. i have executed the campaign for that.
My Question, is can i add the target group created earlier to the another profile set, if so How?

Please read carefully the rules regarding target groups in CRM Segment Builder:
-A target group can exist without reference to a profile. If so, it must however reference a profile set ("lies in profile set..") or as a subset, if present ("is attached to profile set ...").
-If a target group is created with the profile set reference "is attached to" (that is, to a subset), it will have the status "active"; and any available target groups of the profile of the subset will be set to "inactive".
-A target group with profile reference always has a set reference ("lies in profile set ..").
-A target group with profile reference cannot be attached directly to a profile set.
Within a profile set, a target group without profile reference is represented by an icon indicating a single target group.
-You cannot move target groups from one profile set to another, however you can copy existing target groups.

If by "add target group to another profile set" you mean to say "COPY target group to another profile set", then yes it is possible to do it.
As for the "how" ... please read the help again:
To copy a marketing segment, select the required segment in the staging area of the Segment Builder and choose either the Copy pushbutton or choose Copy Segments from the context menu. If no individual segments are selected, the entire profile set is copied.
You can choose whether the copied segments are created in a new profile set, an existing profile set, an existing subset, or in a new subset of an existing profile set.

Hi,
Multiple TGs in a Profile set will be effective on the way you use them in the campaign.
In campaign, you can use either a TG or a Profile Set. If you are using PS, all the TGs in the PS will be used. Otherwise, you can use the TG individually. It depends on how you use it.

Expand existing Target Group

Hi All,
I need help on Target Group for CRM Data Target in BW APD. I did a simple Analysis Process in APD, and put CRM as my Data Target. I choose the CRM as the data target and select CRM Target Group. However, on the Target Group tab, I can create Profile Set and Target Group, and data is transferred to CRM correctly. My question is, if I want to choose the Change Existing Profile Set and Expand Existing Target Group from the menu, they are grayed out and I can not choose anything. It doen not make sense that I have to create new Target Group everytime I run the Analysis Process.
I found the problem, the aleremote user must be defined as dialog instead of communications.

Atributes list to create target group does not appear

In CRM Portal, It is not showing the page which I can choose Attributes list in order to create profile groups and target groups.
I'm looking for something similar as tcode: CRMD_MKTSEG in SAP GUI.
I have already assigned Marketing Manager/Assistant in my profile.
Does anybody could help me ?

Assign Transaction category CRMD_MKTSEG to your user role for GUI as well as Portal(PCUI),
u'll see the Segment Builder tab in PCUI screen, u can create profile/sets and target groups.

This is the first time i am working on CRM Marketing Campaign, and i dont know the process of creating a Campaign id for a Target Group created for BP's. Target group is a group of BP, like a BP list. It's a kind of master data which can be used in business transaction.
And profile set is a base of target group, just like Product Hierachy and Product category. Each target group should belong to a profile set. So create the profile set, before you create target group.
Campaign is a kind of Marketing element of CRM Marketing. In campaign, it need the BP or BP group or Target Group as its campaign objectives. Just like Customer of Sales Order, Vendor of Purchase order.
Campaign can be assigned several target groups or BP or BP groups in it.
So if you want to create campaign and assign target group to it, the steps is:
1. create a profile set by BAPI_PROFILESET_CREATE
2. create target group by BAPI_TARGETGROUP_CREATE, in this calling, you will use the profile set created before.
3. create campaign by MKT_ELEMENT_CREATE
4. assign the target group to your campaign, by MKTPL_TGGR_ASSIGN_CREATEl, the target group comes from step 2, the campaign comes from step 3
