Campus Manager Device Not managed

Dear *,
I have LMS 3.2 and on my campus manager device is showing not managed. I excluded the devices and included is again and and did data collection and still the same. I even deleted it from Common Services, re-discovered it and included in CM but still the same. Any help please. This device was fine before.
Thanks
Aamir

1. Post screen shot of error.
2. What kind of device is it?
3. Is this LMS installation being managed locally or by ACS?

  • Campus Manager states devices "not managed"

Hi, I have the following ciscoworks installation:
LMS 3.1.1 and Campus Manager 5.0.5
I have disabled auto mode and manually included my devices which are all in the DCR, i've also checked all the device snmp credentials. After performing a data collection most devices still show up as not managed. Of several 6500's and 7200's only 1 is showing as managed. What can I do to fix this?  thx
P.S the abovementioned devices are in my include list. They are not in the exclude list

It could be that Data Collection is not completing properly.  Post the ani.log after running a Data Collection.

I was originally not in the network and networkmanager group but tried adding myself in the course of reading your post, because I thought maybe that could be the reason, but it didn't change anything
I had to create the networkmanager group because it was not existent but https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Groups#Groups says this group should exist.

  • What do "managed device" and "management console" look like?

I read this Novell Documentation from line to line but still have no idea what's the basic configurations of the following two scenarios:
Section 2.8.1, Initiating a Session from the Management Console
Section 2.8.2, Initiating a Session from the Managed Device
My question is, do I need to have ZCM installed on the Managed Device? I already had it installed on one of the box and could access to ZCC.
    Thanks,

  • HT204074 manage devices not available

I am not able to see the option to manage my devices when I am in the View my account settings in iTunes.

i have this too and i think i understand why. Even though your computer is authorized for your apple ID, and your other devices are set up with your apple ID's, none ot them have iTunes "associated with" your apple ID's because you haven't activated iTunes Match nor have you done any "automatic download", nor have you re-downloaded a previsouly purchased (and previously downladed) item. Only of these "iTune in The Cloud" feature would trigger the association and the 90-day lock out.
It also seems that the "Transferring Purchase" from device to computer does NOT trigger the association neither. (it didnt on my computer).

  • DCNM not managing all VDC's

New installation of Nexus gear as well as DCNM. Currently DCNM will manage the admin VDC on the 7718 but it will only show the other VDC's with the 'Device not managed' icon (red slash circle through the wrench). I'm using the same creds for each VDC and I am sure these creds can login to each VDC. I've been looking over the 'DCNM Fundamentals' document and I have read how to create a seed entry and discover devices but I do not see anything that talks about specifically managing each VDC. I've been clicking around all day and just don't know what I'm looking for.
Am I missing something simple? This seems way too hard.

How to organize iMovie '08 folders etc.
    From within iMovie '08 itself.
Do you keep all fresh raw footage in one folder? And all other whatevers in other folders? Or do you keep all of the folders relevant to one project in one folder?
Forget about folders. Use "Events" as bins (i.e. "folders" or "drawers") in which to store your clips and/or move them between if you must. Name and use them as you wish -- but use them rather and moving things as individual clips in physical folders at the "Finder" level outside of the iMovie '08 application -- i.e., let the application "manage" your files as it is supposed to do.

I'm having kind of the same problem here. After a crash I had the other day, my networkmanager stopped working (don't ask me why!!).
So, I removed NM completely and installed it from scratch following step by step all the instructions in the NetworkManager wiki; but the only thing I get is an applett that insists in saying "network manager disabled" (no matter whether I remove the NetworkManager.state pid file), and a "deactivating device (reason: 2)" line right after a "bringing up device" line in the daemon.log.
Any suggestions? Is there a bug in NM? Or should I look for some corrupted file remaining in my system after that crash?
    EDIT:
After one dozen tries and much fidgetting and modifying things, I've got it working, but I don't know which has been the decisive move. I think one of these two:
-either modifying in my BIOS the settings for the wireless killswitch,
-or uninstalling the kdemod-networkmanagement-networkmanager-plasmoid (that I had installed along with kdemod-networkmanagement-knetworkmanager-kde4)

  • Devices showing not managed by Campus Manager

    Hi,
We are using Campus Manager 5.2 with LMS 3.2. We have 100 devices and all 100 devices has been successfully discovered in Common services in all 100 devices are showing in DCR.
When we check in RME we have found all 100 devices over there.
But, in Campus Manager we got only 95 devices. out of 88 WS-C2960G-24TC-L 5 switches are not showing in Campus manager. we have added the same manully ( manually included & Ecluded all 5 devices in Campus manager) and start the data collection, but no result.
After data collection  it is showing not managed by Campus Manager when we check ( Show all Included devices option).
Kindly help us to rectify the  issue.

Another suggestion is to upgrade to Campus 5.2.1.  There were bugs with 5.2 where Data Collection did not complete successfully.  After upgrade, reinitialize the ANI database with the command:
    NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=ani dmprefix=ANI

  • LMS 3.2. Campus Manager (5.2.1) and some devices in "Not Managed" state

    Hi:
I have enabled auto mode and manually included but when I run a data collection some devices don't take part in the process. When I click in show included devices I can see 13 devices in Not Managed state, include C2950G and C2960S . But 3 sets of C2950G can be managed . What is this? How can I fix it?
    I attach ani.log file
    Thanks

Try to remove the Auto-sync mode and try to add those 13 devices manually and run Data Collection and check if they get added.
    -Thanks
    Vinod

  • FWSM missing under Campus Manager Device Management

    Hello everyone,
We are running LMS 3.2 with CM, CS, RME, etc. patched to the latest release.
Under Campus Manager -> Admin -> Data Collection -> Device Management -> Include Devices, all available devices have been added. However, our Firewall Service Module (and some other ones) are missing from the list of included devices.
The FWSM is listed under DCR and RME though. It passes and runs inventory collections and SNMP credential checks. The FWSM is running code version 4.1(1).
Is this normal behavior or should it be possible to add it to the list in CM?
    Thank you.

Yes, this is expected.  Campus Manager does not support firewall devices like the FWSM, PIX, and ASA as they do not support CDP.

  • HT204074 new iphone giving message it is not authorized to access my library.  how can I fix this??? SO annoying.  "manage devices" doesn't give me an option to add the new phone.

I made an insurance claim and had to get a new iPhone.  I have the 5, not the newest 5s or 5c, the previous 5.  When I am NOT plugged into my MacBook I cannot access "my library" of songs that are on my macbook.  I can play them through my new phone if the phone is plugged into my macbok but not if I unplug the phone and try to play the songs while I'm away from home.  Help!!!  I do not see my new phone in the "managed devices".  I've restarted the phone and macbook and upgraded to OS7.  Nothing is working.

  • How do I remove a device from iTunes that does not show up under "Manage Devices" in account?

My husbands macbook is logged in with his iTunes account.  For some reason my iPad (linked with my account) keeps showing up on his macbook under his account.  I went on his account and to manage devices and my iPad is not one of the devices listed.  So how do I permanentaly delete my iPad from showing up on his account?

It is showing up in his iTunes library as all iDevices would.
That has nothing to do with his iTunes account.
My iPad device is not an option as a device being used by his apple ID.
It's not being used by his AppleID.
Select the iPad in his iTunes library.
    Click the Summary tab.
Uncheck Sync this iPsd over wifi.
Uncheck Open iTunes when this Pad is connected.
Right click > Eject the iPad.

  • HT204074 I do not see a "Manage Devices" link when I access my account information through iTunes. I want to know how many devices are linked to my account. Can anyone help?

I have accessed the Apple Support site http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4627 but I could not find the "Manage Devices" link on iTunes. The advice they give is as follows:
You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Next to each device or computer name, you will be able to see when each was associated to your Apple ID. You will also be able to track how many days are remaining before your associated devices or computers can be associated to a different Apple ID.
Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    Hello from Albania,
Please help me !! I'm desperate
I sold my iPhone 4s a few months ago.
Now i got my self a new iPad and created a new apple ID which i recently accociated with ITunes and ICloud.
However, i can't update anything on my Mac since it still requires the old apple id, even though i changed it anywhere i could.
I also don't get the manage devices when i tried to do this through the iTunes.
I have no idea what to do.
    Waiting for your reply.

  • HT204074 I have been reading about how to associate devices with my Apple ID, and the info says I can go to my account through iTunes to find "Manage Devices" but that does not exist. Either it was phased out our there are other ways to get there, but can

I am trying to find out about all my associated devices. I recently got a message that I had used my last device, and am not sure how this can be. The instructions for accessing the info via the iTunes account info page apparently were not shared with the programmers since there is no Manage Devices button or option as far as I can see. How do I do this?

After hours and hours of failed searches, I must have used a different keyword in my Google search, and here is the website that I was looking for:
    https://supportprofile.apple.com
And here is the guy whose website I found that helped me solve my problem:
    http://www.marcomc.com/2011/01/how-to-find-the-list-of-my-apple-registered-produ cts/
I was going to rant here about how badly Apple designed their "Apple Id" stuff, how they strongly distinguish between using your Apple Id at the online Apple Store vs. using it at the App Store (which you have to get to via iTunes ... quite ridiculous) ... but I won't.  :-)
Anyway, I hope that the two previously mentioned websites will be of help to others.
