Campus manager topology services error

I have LMS installed at a customer site and it was working fine but lately when i was preparing a session for the customer i tried to open the topology services under campus manager but i received the following error " unable to launch the application "

What is the jre version you are using to launch topology services? What workstation are you using? Do you get the same behavior from the server? Post a screenshot of the error.

  • LMS 3.2 Campus Manager Topology Issue with C450X-E

We replaced catalysts catOS 6509 by c4503-E and C4506-E in the network.
Since that replacement, 2 links gigaethernet bundled in an etherchannel disappeared from Campus Manager Topology maps (vtp and layer maps).
These links were drawn with 6509 in the old maps but not now with 450X-E.
We have also 235 other switches without any problems.
The links are up and each switch is seeing its neighbour by cdp on each link. No discrepancies found for these links.
I have done a reinit of ANI database by reinitdb.pl -restore and restart a complete discovery and data collection.
    The issue is the same.
Campus Manager Version is 5.2.1 with CSCtd49439 installed
    CMDeviceUpdate Version is 13.0
    C450X-E IOS version is 12.2(53)SG2
In the file "campus\etc\cwsi\portsData.xml"  the links do not appear that means they are not discovered.
In Device Center, each switch is seeing the other switch as a neighbour.
Do someone has any idea on that issue ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem.
I'm sorry but I'm not used to the TAC and I can't find where I can download the patch.
Can you tell me what is the procedure to get this patch ?
    thank in advance

Exchange is currently running in the envirmonet on 2010 Sp3 I am installing 2013 CU7 fresh so I can migrate the databases over.
    What am I running?
2 X DC on domain and forest functional level 2008R2 both writable
1 X fresh install of Windows 2012 R2 which is domain joined
    What have I tried?
Checked Ipv6 is enabled on all DC NICS and Existing Exchange Servers
    Rebooted every server
    Run setup as Administrator
My account is part of the domain Enterprise Admin group
Tried adding "Exchange Server" or "Exchange Enterprise Servers" to the group policy and doing the relevant gpupdate /force and reboot :
    Computer Configuration Windows Settings
    Security Settings + Local Policies
User Rights Assignment Mange auditing and security log
Turned off firewall on DC and Exchange Server even stopped the service
Turned off all AV on the DC and Exchange Server
Checked I could telnet to global catalog servers on port 3268 which I can
Checked the global catalog records existed in DNS which they all do
Done the obvious ping tests all round which confirms connectivity
Schema has been prepared using appropriate commands before running the setup exe

  • Topology Services Applet error: "No JRE found in configuration file."

Is there an issue with IE7 and opening up Topology Services? Or can someone guide me in fixing this error message?
I'm using LMS 3.1 and had uninstalled all of my Java versions and installed jre-6u5-windows-i586-p_withjacorb.exe on my client. However, when I clicked the Topology Services link I would get the Java splash window for a bit and then nothing happened (the next two applet windows wouldn't load).
When I tried to launch Topology Services from another box using IE6, everything worked fine. I tried the same steps above on another box with IE 7 and that worked fine too.
So I tried a few installs and uninstalls of different Java versions and found that if the version was other than 6_5, I'd get the Java splash screen with the first applet window telling me I had the wrong version. When I'd uninstall all Java versions again, reboot, then install the correct Java version, I wouldn't get anything past the first Java splash screen. After a few attempts at this, I now receive the following error when I click on Topology Services, "Bad installation. No JRE found in configuration file."
How can I get to this configuration file on my client to let it know that I do indeed have the right version of Java on my box?
    --Jeff

Campus 5.1 works just fine with IE 7.0 and JRE 1.6.0_5. It sounds like this particular client may be in bad shape. Typically, I recommend one uninstall all versions of Java from a client, reboot, then install the one version that comes with LMS. I also recommend that for IE, one adds the LMS server as a Trusted Site in IE. You might also try disabling anti-virus software temporarily to see if that helps.
For Campus 5.1, you will also need to open TCP ports 42342 and 43242 from client to server.
It may be that this client is in such bad shape that it will need to be rebuilt to get Java working correctly.

  • Campus Manager Installation Error

    Hi Everyone,
I have issues with my campus manager and it seems that some files has been corrupted, so I uninstall campus manager and re-install it. However, during the installation of campus manager 5.2 I am getting these error message (please see attachment). I already stop daemon manager and other services but I am still getting the same problem. Do you have any suggestion on how to resolve this problem.
    Thanks.

if you have let the installation pause in this state, do the following:
    open the Task Manager from windows and go to the "Process" tab;
    look for any sm_xxxx process  (e.g. sm_server.exe, sm_authority) right-click on the process and kill it;
    then go back to the installation screen and click on retry; the installation should proceed;

  • Error campus managment 5.2.1 - LMS3.2 - Windows 2003

    hi,
I update to campus managment to version 5.2.1, and after that restart server and services. in campus managment module I can´t see the "Recently Completed Jobs". The Best Practices and Deviation  Discrepancies are in 0, but before upgrade it had not 0.
and when I press in Start Data Collection and Start UT Acquisition i see a popup that said: Error while loading. Campus Manager Server may be down. Please check for Campus Manager Server Status in Common Services -> Server -> Admin -> Processes. If the process is down, restart it. Else try after sometime.
    but the services is running!!

The Discrepancies and BPDs are stored in memory in Campus, and re-populated during each Data Collection.  It sounds like ANIServer is having problems.  Post the output of the pdshow command as well as the ANIServer.log and ani.log.

  • Network Topology in Campus Manager

I have two switches that are unsupported in my network topology map. These devices show up as green boxes with question marks. The switches are catalyst 3560's model number WS-C3560-48TS. I can see where the 24 port model is supported but not the 48 port. Is there a way to get support for these devices so that my topo map doesn't have green icons with question marks?

Which campus manager service pack do you have installed? This support was added in CM 3.0.4

    Hi
    I use an instrument

    Any suggestion is
    much appreciated
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi Lydia
    Thanks for your quick
    response.
Unfortunately I had already considered this hypothesis
and the security settings on the object WMI
    seems correct.
The user with which I run the program
    is part of a domain's
    group inserted into
the local administrators group. This group
has the flag "Remote Enable" active.
    However, I verified that the
problem occurred since I updated my tool
to monitor and manage the new systems Sql
2012. The tool now uses objects
SMO 11.0 that I installed in the development environment,
and on server where it is scheduled
    the tool, through the package
    SharedManagementObjects.msi.
The documentation says that SMO 11 is
    compatible with SQL 2005
and higher and, in fact, I only had problems
with one server. The old version of tool in fact work fine again.
    This information will suggest
    some ideas?
    Thanks again

  • Error while starting Oracle Management server service

    Hi all,
We are about to administer our database using Oracle Enterprise manager. For that we have configured OEM in a Test PC and tried to connect our database.
First i have logged in to OEM Console with Sysman login id using the default password "oem_temp" and it prompts me to change the password, also i have changed the password as "xxxxx" and i have come out of OEM console and tried to relogin using the changed password.
i got the message as invalid login or password or
check for the availablity of Management server service"
i found that the service Oracle Management server which was previously running is not running now and i tried to restart that manually.
On doing that i got a message as
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"
Would any one of u help me to solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance..

Hi-- could you please describe your administrative domain?
I need to know the operating systems on each of the
clients and the OSB admin server. Also, does 'obtool' CLI
tool work? Do any of the machines act as an apache webserver
for another application? Is there any other backup service
running on any of the machines?
    thanks,
    Judy
I noticed that when re-installing the OSB without the
Administrative Server (only Media Server and Client)
I got no errors at all (but still cannot connect from
another Administratice Server to my machine)

  • Campus Manager report - Ports in error Disabled state

    Hi,
I have LMS 3.2 and I wonder how Campus Manager collects information from the switch to generate a report of discrepancies, namely a report of "Ports in Error Disabled state"??
I find that I have ports in errDisabled state but Campus Manger doesn´t show this information in "Ports in Error Dissabled state" report. What could be the problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Campus Manager do snmpwalk on the ciscoErrDisableMIB to get the status of the error disabled ports.

    Hi,
Based on the description, we can try to contact Microsoft Customer Support Services to obtain the hotfix to see if it helps.

  • Error when copying the folder Manager Self-Service in the portal

    Good Night.
I am implementing  Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service
For ESS i did  the following:
    1. I  created a new folder for my project.
    2. I copied  Employee Self-Service folder from the standard part into my folder.
    3. I deleted the pages and worksets that not needed
    4. I did the config in the backend and put the pcd in the backend config for it to be displaying the content.
And for MSS I wanted to do the same steps:
But the system display the following message of error:
    Error
Source object not found. It may have been deleted.
    [Error|http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/0524ec1cc5.jpg]
The steps that i did are:
    Portal Content==>Content Provided by SAP==>line_manager=>Right Click -->Copy.
And in the new folder --> Right Click -->Paste.
    How can solve this issue?
    Kind Regards
