Can 15" LCD TFT studio monitor be used with my G4?

I've acquired a nice 15" Apple LCD TFT studio monitor and would like to use it with my G4 but have found that the connections are incompatible. Are there any adaptors i could get to resolve this issue?

To get the connector terminology, take a look at the first page of this illustrated guide:
HT1825- Power Mac G4: Display Compatibility
To find out what can connect to what, look up "Your Mac" \[Column] Vs "Your Display" \[Row] in the Matrix that follows page 1.
To find the identity of your display card, use Apple System Profiler.

  • I just purchased a 28" 4K monitor to use with Premiere Pro CS6 in WIndows 8.1 and the fonts are super tiny.

No matter what settings I choose, the fonts on the display are impossibly tiny.  The menu fonts at top are readable, but everything else feels like I am taking an eye exam.
Is this fixable, or do I need to return the 4K monitor and fuhgedaboutit?
Since I am doing some shooting in 4K, I thought this monitor would make sense.
If in fact it can't work with PP CS6 on WIn 8.1, what is the best recommended monitor to use with PP CS6?

I understand your issue and I don't have a solution for you. Sorry. In Premiere Pro CC 2014, you can increase the size of the fonts in the Project panel, but not in CS6.

You may want to ask this in ourHardware Forum.

  • Advise on buying an external monitor to use with FCPX

I want to buy a monitor to use with my Macbook Pro
Any advice on what to buy if I also want to use with FCPX?
Is the advice to get the biggest one possible!? DOH!
    Anything else?
I don't want to buy Apple: I don't have the budget to afford
    Thanks

I don't think there is much point in going larger than 24" and you can get quite a few around the £120 mark on Amazon.
Make sure it has the right connection for your MBP as there are several different ones on the market.

Can an older IPod (click wheel) be used with a wireless/bluetooth speaker? If so, how?

There is no doubt you can.
When you say photos stored on it.. in what form are these photos?? Is this your iphoto library?
If so using iphoto library on the TC has risks.. not necessarily viewing photos .. that should be fine. But if you have photos you are editing and wireless comms drop out leaving the library with a file open, it is likely to corrupt your library. Please check with the iphoto people on the discussion board if you want to go ahead for the dangers of using iphoto on any network drive.
The TC is not designed as a NAS .. in particular it cannot back itself up, nor can Time Machine backup the TC. So any files on the TC are at risk. If you manage to corrupt the iphoto library without a current backup... does that worry you??

  • Good monitor to use with iPad Air

Any body have their favorite  monitor to use with iPad Air?

I wasn't aware that the iPad Air supported external monitors. Based on that, I'd have to say that the iPad Air's monitor is my favorite, by default.

Hi Robert and welcome to Apple Discussions,
There are adapters available that convert micro cards into fullsize ones.
You will also need a USB card reader if you do not have one.
    Good luck,

  • Can ni-daq 6.9.3 nbe used with labview 4

can ni-daq 6.9.3 nbe used with labview 4

    Greetings,
The earliest version of LabVIEW supported by NI-DAQ 6.9.3 is LabVIEW
5.0. The newest version of NI-DAQ to support LabVIEW 4 is NI-DAQ 6.6.
So, you will either have to upgrade LabVIEW or use NI-DAQ 6.6. You
can download NI-DAQ 6.6 from the link below.

  • Can the Gigabit Ethernet LAN Port be used with a Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adaptor and then to a Thunderbolt Hard Drive as a back up drive?

Can the Gigabit Ethernet LAN Port be used with a Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adaptor and then to a Thunderbolt Hard Drive as a back up drive?

If you use ethernet to connect the two AirPort Extremes together, you'll have Gigabit speeds available at all of the ethernet ports on both routers.
If you connect the second AirPort Extreme using wireless only and configure the Extreme to "extend a wireless network", then the maximum speeds that the second router can attain will be limited to the capability of the wireless connection. So, if you connect at normal "n" wireless speeds of say 130 Mbps, that will be the maximum speed available at the ethernet ports on the second AirPort Extreme.
I think you can easily see the difference between Gigabit ethernet, which is 1000 Mbps compared to "n" wireless at 130 Mbps. Even if you can manage to connect at 5 GHz speeds for wireless, the max speed will be in the 300 Mbps range, more than 3 times slower than Gigabit ethernet. Normal "n" speeds will be about 7 times slower than ethernet.
For streaming high definition video and other demanding sources, you'll need as much bandwidth (speed) as you can get. Ethernet is always the best choice if you can possibly use it. And...there's no wireless interference on an ethernet connection.

Hello, can a 21 Inch Apple Mac Studio Display Monitor (Graphite) be used with a none Mac PC under Windows. Thanks Peter

    what's a "none" Mac PC?
It can be done, but you'll need to purchase an ADC-DVI adapter in order to connect to the DVI port on the PCs video card.
