My husband and I have an iphone each but would like to sync our calenders is this possible with different apple ids?
He has a 4S and I have a 5S.

Yes but if you bought the music on both different id's then they are tied to those id's only.

I have an iphone 3GS, my mum also has a 3GS but also has an ipad.
We have completely different Apple IDs but for some reason they are trying to merge. Examples of this are in imessage settings my details appear on my mums iphone and ipad? She recently downloaded ITV player to her ipad and its just shown up on my iphone? Also i tried to download an app on her ipad yesterday for her and when trying to put in her correct Apple ID password it said it was incorrect. I was then given a choice of answering security questions or sending an email reminder to get the password reset. The security questions asked to her were mine and when sending an email to have the password reset it went to my secondary email address!!!!
How can i make sure that these three devices no longer try to merge. I want my iphone to work seperatly on my ID and my mums iphone and ipad to work seperatly on hers. I have already completely reset my iphone and this did nothing to resolve the problem, all devices are running the latest IOS.
Any help would be fantastic as i am getting really frustrated with this.

Thanks for the reply.
I have already been through this (should have mentioned it in my post). For some reason i can remove my details on my phone but my mums details are greyed out so cannot get those deleted although they are unchecked. The same goes for my mums iphone and ipad, my details are there unchecked but are greyed out so cannot be deleted.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how this happened or how to fix it.

Contacts aren't as simple, but there's a workaround posted here that might help:

Others may have additional suggestions if you'll tell us what devices you have that you wish to sync between.

Why can't I open Word from different apple login?

I set my wife up with a separate login on our laptop and I noticed that even with full permissions she cannot access any MS Office applications. The program asks to install itself into the HD every time she opens the application, so she'll install it, the application will close, and then we go through the same problem all over again. Any way we can resolve this issue without her needing to login to my account just Word? Thanks

The answer to your question is no. As long as the software is on the computer, it should be useable.
Try signing into the Guest account and see if you have the same problem. You also might try a Safe Mode restart and see if the problem is still present.

The first option may identify it as an account problem and the second option may identify it as 3rd party software.

Is it possible for one AppleId, via iCloud, to access apps/games/music etc that have been purchased with another AppleId?

You probably activated the new phone will the old phone was still active. That would have linked the two numbers to iMessage. Go into iMessage and turn them off on each phone. Then turn iMessage on for your phone. When it activates, go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and see what numbers/email addresses are linked there. It should just be the current phone number and if desired, your Apple ID email address.
Then have the other person turn their iMessage back on and when it activates see if it now only brings their current phone number and again if desired Apple ID email address.

You can sync apps but you have to select apps for each device. When you plug you device in it will remember your apps that you selected for that device. I have an iPhone and an iTouch with a different app set synced to the same iTunes library. Just go through the list when the device is connected and choose the apps/ songs ect. then sync. When you connect the other device repeat the process. Make sure to not let iTunes automatically sync when connected. iTunes will remember the settings for each device. Works for me.

Depends on what the source of the music is (iTunes purchases, ripped CDs, etc.), and whether you are syncing to iTunes on a computer. As for simply sharing music directly from the iPhone to the iPod, no, you cannot.

If you haven't set up your own Apple ID already don't. I suggest you use the same apple ID as your wife's. The alternative is to do this http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848. It's not efficient as you have to swap apple id's to update apps under both IDs. 20/20 being hindsight, I would have never created a 2nd apple ID for my wife.

Are you currently in Japan or Hong Kong ? You have to be in a country (and have a billing address in that country on your account) to buy or download from its store, that is included in the store's terms.
You can sync content from different accounts from your computer's iTunes library.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I specifically do not want to have her use my ID because any changes she makes would affect my contact list. Somewhere along the line, i thought someone said that contacts can be shared between iCloud accounts. Perhaps I did not hear it right. I think what I will do is transfer my contact list to our desktop computer (which is set up with the same ID as my wife's iPhone).
