My old MIS is developed by D2000. We used
realplayer OCX in this system.Can we updated

What is the logic behind not wanting to use the two easiest approaches to this migration? DTS and the Oracle Migration Workbench are specifically designed to accomplish this sort of task.
You can certainly use the generic connectivity of Oracle Heterogenous Services to connect to a SQL Server database from Oracle, but you'd have to write your own replication code. Heterogenous Services also isn't trivial to install and configure-- if this is a one-time migration, using a tool that's designed to integrate heterogenous databases probably isn't the easiest option.

Hi all,
I just thinking about writing a program that can display the caller ID.
The problem is:
When a user using dial-up access the internet, the program can detect the caller ID if somebody dial the user's number. Of course, caller ID can be displayed at anytime when somebody calling the user.
I don't know which Java API can be used for this program and how to start writing this program.
Please can you give me any suggestion?

If you are talking about having someone call the computer through a modem and the local computer's modem answering it, then you can do JNI calls to packages for caller ID. If you are talking about getting the phone number of people browsing across a website--then you better learn how things operate: it is not possible (to my knowlege) no matter what language you use.

Add this one to the list of thinks that don't work on the Apple Job Board. It looks like Apple is using ADP's VE (Virtual Edge) technology to run this system, and I've been stupified by the number of features that are just broken, or so poorly thought out by ADP as to be unusable, (certainly for webkit and mozilla browsers at least: I didn't bother checking IE.)
Here are a few highlights:
"My Job List", list of jobs applied for, seems to max out at three. You can apply for more than that, but you can only see the first three.
"Search Using Your Resume" feature yields few or no results, even when the pasted text contains only common, exactly matched words like 'Design' or 'Engineer'.
The missing resume upload, described in this thread.
"My Job Agent" seems to never flag anything, at least it hasn't ever for me despite pretty loose criteria.
Agent's created using "My Job Agent" eventually just disappear, which is fine because they don't seem to work.
When updating a profile, acknowledging the 'Terms' happens twice in a row.
Job seekers can only supply one cover letter despite being able apply for several jobs.
Pagination for search results only appears at the top of the page, so it's necessary to scroll down through each page, then up to the top again to proceed to the next page.
Well, I'm sure there are others, but you get the idea. I hope the Apple folks can fix this, (or twist ADP's arm to fix it,) so it better represents the quality of experience that Apple is so respected for consistently delivering.

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

"can not start a job" issue in AWM

i get following error when i see the "olapsys.xml_load_log" table
***Error Occured: Failed to Build(Refresh) DB_OWNER.MY_ANALYTICAL_WORKSPACE Analytic Workspace. Can not start a job.
Can anybody explain when and why this error occurs? I have wasted a lot of time searching for this issue, but have found no person facing such issue.

This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
- We have an AW maintenance / refresh script or procedure that contains BuildType="BACKGROUND", so that the AW maintenance task will be sent to the Oracle Job queue.
- When we execute the AW maintenance / refresh script or procedure, we do not get any errors in the foreground, the script/procedure has been executed successfully.
- However when we look into the build/refresh log (see <Note 351688.1> for details) we see that the maintenance/refresh task failed with:
13:29:39 Failed to Submit a Job to Build(Refresh) Analytic Workspace <schema>.<AW Name>.

Cause
User who tries to create a job (executes DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB() procedure) does not have the sufficient privileges.
Solution
1. Identify the user under which the job is supposed to be created. This user is not necessarily the same as the user who launched AW build/refresh script or procedure. Get the corresponding username from one of the %_USERS views e.g. from ALL_USERS.
e.g.
SELECT user_id,username FROM all_users WHERE user_id=91;
2. Identify the system privileges currently assigned to the user by connecting as the user whom the privileges need to be determined, and execute:
SELECT * FROM SESSION_PRIVS ORDER BY PRIVILEGE;
3. Ensure that the CREATE JOB privilege is listed.
The CREATE JOB privilege can be granted in various ways to a user:
- via role OLAP_USER or via role OLAP_DBA (see view ROLE_SYS_PRIVS for what privs are assigned to a role):
GRANT OLAP_USER TO <username>;
- explicitly
GRANT CREATE JOB TO <username>;

Can not see running jobs from, package

I have a problem with processing parallely runing jobs:
I am creating another immediately runned jobs in a main job. Those two parallel jobs (2 loads from different databases) have to be finished before I run next operation (working out loaded data). Problem is that, after starting those 2 parallel jobs, I can not see them by select from ALL_SCHEDULER_RUNNING_JOBS that is executed immediately after I create those jobs in a package. If I take a look into ALL_SCHEDULER_RUNNING_JOBS from anonymous statement I can see all my running jobs. Let's sum it up:
1/ Start of main job
2/ Running 2 immediately created jobs (load data)
3/ Checking in loop if jobs created in step 2 are still running
3.1/ Jobs are running (ALL_SCHEDULER_RUNNING_JOBS check) - sleep for a
while - It never happens - can't see any running jobs from select executed in
package but can see them in
anonymous statement
3.2/ Jobs finished - start processing loaded data
Can somebody help me with this task?

Hi,
There is no reason a job should be visible from an anonymous block but not from inside a job. There are two things that may be happening here.
- jobs scheduled to run immediately my not start running as soon as they are created/enabled, you may need to wait a bit before they start running (they will appear in all_scheduler_jobs immediately but maybe not all_scheduler_running_jobs immediately)
- you may be running into privilege issues. Is the user that executes the anonymous block the same as the user that the job is running as (the job's schema) ? If not maybe the job user does not have privileges to see the job (you can grant alter on the job to the user to ensure this).
Can you see the jobs in the all_scheduler_jobs view from within the job with status RUNNING ? If you can see jobs in all_scheduler_jobs as RUNNING but not in all_scheduler_running_jobs then this is a bug of some sort.

1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

How can I erase a job in SM35 using the job_open and job_close functions?

I call and execute a job in the SM35 transaction with the functions below, but how can I erase the job from SM35. Because when the functions are executed in the JOB_CLOSE the variable jobrele return me an 'X' that means that the job is executed but I see that the job is not erased from the transaction.

How can I fix this printer error with Samsung SCX-4300 and SCX-4521f on Windows Server 2008 R2?

I have two printers installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit):
1. Samsung SCX-4521f
2. Samsung SCX-4300
There are two computers (Windows 7 Professional, 32-Bit) connected to this server that utilise these shared printers.
The drivers installed are as follows:
SCX-4x21_Win7_Print.exe (Win 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/Win 7 3.04.96:03 Print Driver 11 Dec, 2009 12.37 MULTI LANGUAGE)
SCX-4300_Print.exe (Win 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/Win 7(32,64bit) 3.04.95:07 Print Driver Jan 19, 2011 53.07 MULTI LANGUAGE)
After printing documents for some time (within a 24 period) the printers no longer respond to print requests.
On the server opening "Control Panel\Hardware\Devices and Printers" shows the two printers with yellow exclamation marks.
The "SCX-4x21" printer shows the "Status" as "Needs troubleshooting" and "Printer: Error".
The "SCX-4300" printer shows the "Status" as "Needs troubleshooting".
Neither will print a test page.
Searching for new drivers automatically returns saying: "The best driver software for your device is already installed".
The error persists and nothing will print.
When double-clicking on the "SCX-4x21" printer (or going to "Control Panel\Hardware\Devices and Printers\Samsung SCX-4x21 Series") you see the following:
"Printer: Error" and "N document(s) in queue".
Clicking on either of these brings up the print queue and shows a document with the status of "Error - Printing".
As each job with an error is cancelled the next one attempts to print and also displays an error like the last.
Once all the jobs are cleared the printer information says "Printer: Ready".
Sending a "Print Test Page" sends the printer into an error state saying "Printer: Error".
With the "SCX-4300", sending a "Print Test Page" displays a bubble saying: "Toner Empty: Replace Toner".
However, I can't see any specific error messages.
How do I find out what exactly "Needs troubleshooting"?
Please can anyone advise further?

The printer (SCX-4300) has stopped again.
Since it has been stopped I have done your recommendations:
Unticked the "Enable bidirectional support" option under the "Ports" tab in the printer properties.
Set the "Interactive Services Detection" to Automatic and started it.
Unfortunately the printer did not start printing, the print jobs did not restart or delete.
I decided to check the Operational logs that we enabled.
The first job I see goes like this:
Information: Rendering job 41.
Error: The print spooler failed to delete the file C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\00041.SHD, error code 0x2. See the event user data for context information.
Information: The print job 41 was sent through the print processor SSE1MPC on printer Samsung SCX-4300 Series, driver Samsung SCX-4300 Series, in the isolation mode 1 (0 - loaded in the spooler, 1 - loaded in shared sandbox, 2 - loaded in isolated
sandbox). Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 0x0.
Information:Printing job 41.
Information:Spooling job 41.
This job actually printed.
Other jobs printed fine with no error.
There are no other errors in the "Operational" log other than the "print spooler failed to delete" error.
Any ideas what to try now?
Update: Unticking the "Enable bidirectional support", clearing the print queue and then trying again seems to have fixed the problem for now.

Can we assign the jobs of a thread to other thread

suppose say a thread A is running and doing some processing. Can this thread A, at a specified time delegate all its jobs to an other thread B, and exit
gracefully? The thread B should take up the jobs left over by thread A and continue processing them.
If so how can we implement this?

As has been said in other recent discussions regarding threads, a thread pool and a task queue would do the job.
Two main decisions: How to break down the tasks at hand to allow a "graceful transfer" and how to activate the new thread?
Regrading 1: You need to break down the overall task into subtasks, which can be performed by individual methods and that can pass on the state of excecution to the next step in the process.
Either the processing sequence is predetermined or the next step is part of the result set of the current subtask. The queue then holds these tasks for assignment to threads.
Regarding 2: Central thread generation vs. decentral approach: For a clean and debuggable design,
you should go for one "factory" in you application, that is creating threads and handles task assignment. That has the additional benefit, that coordination and load-balancing can be implemented as well (to avoid too many threads or support partial paralel processing). Also, you should re-use threads, instead of letting them die and re-create new ones.

Hi,
I believe this would be your Prod system, so don't just cancel it but look at the job log. If it is still processing then don't kill it and wait for the change run to complete but if you can see that nothing is happening and it is stuck for a long time then you can go ahead and cancel it.
But please be sure, as these kind of jobs can create problems if you cancel them in the middle of a job.

The new Mac's do not have analog audio in so you will have to go with a USB audio in device or else if you do not yet own a turntable (or are looking to upgrade) you could get a turntable that has USB out.
The Griffin Technology iMic USB Audio Device is a low cost consumer grade solution if you already have a turntable.
For recording I use Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder which does a good job and has the ability to run the audio signal through various filters.
