Can a company with no licenses put a NW Dev Subscrip on a Discovery Sys?

Question

Suppose there's a small employee-owned consulting company that currently has no SAP licenses of any kind.
If the company has an employee entitled to purchase the $2300 Dev Subscrip, can the company purchase the HP Discovery System, then purchase the Dev Subscrip and run the Dev Subscription software on the HP Discovery System box?
I'm asking because as I understand it, you can't run nothin' on the Discovery System unless you've got SOME kind of SW license with SAP.
I'm hopin for an affirmative answer here ...

Thought i would give my understanding of the options.
To run the Discovery System a company should either have a mySAP ERP licence or a Business Suite licence. If you don't have either of the above then partners and ISVs are able to obtain Test and Demo licences in order to use the Discovery System.
With regards to "running" the Dev Subscription software on the Discovery System, do you mean actually installing the Dev Subsciption SAP media on the Discovery System? If so, what's the point in getting a Discovery System? The thing is that the Discovery System V2 comes pre-configured  with ECC 6.0 etc, MS SQL 2005 db, to get started all you do is apply the SAP licence & migration key and run the db script. Alot of the passwords and config are embedded so you aren't able to change the internal workings by adding extra software etc.
Slighty off-topic but when you do go ahead with purchasing a Discovery System, have a look at the Fujitsu Siemens Discovery System as it has an option to restore and doesn't use a virtual machine to run all the software in.
