Can a doc. in Pages5.1 (using MAVERICKS) be converted to RTF format? I want to save it and email it.

PS You may well still have Pages 4 (in Applications/iWork). That will of course export to RTF.
If you have images, I think it creates RTFD, which may not always be readable on other platforms.

I have two pdf docs that I converted to Word Docs using Acrobat Pro. How do I extract one page from the first doc and insert it into the second doc? When I "select all" it grabs the entire document. I need to take pages out, put other pages in, and edit some of the text.

Try triple-clicking in the text that you want to select--it can sometimes be tricky to select text in a converted document. If that doesn't work, it could be that the PDF document was created from a scanned document, and OCR wasn't enabled when you converted the document. (However, OCR is enabled by default when you convert via the ExportPDF website.)
If you're unable to select text by triple-clicking, let us know. I would be happy to take a closer look at your files.

Mavericlks Spelling and Grammar works in Pages when used manually. And it works automatically in Text and email.Another autocorrect bug:
I type a lot of lyrics, which tend to cotain words like ’cause and ’em instead of because and them.
I've set up autocorrect instances to change a plain apostrophe with an ending, single curly quote for these words, but they are invariably changed to a beginning, single curly quote mark by Pages. The only way I can get the correct curly quote is to type over the wrong quote manually and hope that I don't have to edit the rest of the word again, as this would cause autocorrect to kick in again and change the quote to the wrong, beginning curly mark again.
Does anyone know how to get around this tedious problem? -
Can not take a screenshot with Maverick and track pad. can not use apple chat to talk with a tech. there are other issues also like I used to be able to go back a page with the delete button. No Maverick PDF to instruct on how to use Maverick

What is wrong with this maverick OS?The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ... -

It was easy to do prior to mavericks using system preferences (language and text), but now I can only submit a 2 letter word to replace, not a 1 letter word. I have tried using a space but it doesn't allow that. I would assume that most people would love to be able to type quickly without having to make uppercase I all the time (first world problem i know), so I can't understand why apple have removed this feature.There is the shift key, or text replacement approach, providing you have enabled two things:
Edit > Substitution > √ Text Replacement
System Preferences > Keyboard > TextClick + to add a replacement
Replaceii[spacebar]
With
I[spacebar]
Press return
Quit System Preferences
Now, when you type ii, you will see a pop-up offering I.
In the OS X App Store, search for WordService. This free collection of Services will enable you to just type your content, select it, and then choose the Service item, “Initial Caps of Sentences.” It does what it says. -

Thanks for the help!In the settings in itunes, Info > Advanced all the small "boxes" should be unmarked. Then it should sync both ways.

i can't seems to print using my macbook air with hp series printers. When I plug the printer via usb to my system, the printer was recognized and installed. But when i send a doc for printing, it doesn't print all . Any help?

I am using Mavericks. In Mail I had a list of VIPS and used it extensively. Now it has disappeared and VIPs on the menu bar is faded. There is nil response to VIP in help. Can you tell me what has happened?

What is the Modified date?

*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Open a TextEdit window and paste into it (command-V). Select the line you just pasted and continue as above. -

Created website with iWeb 3.0.4. Website hosted by Go Daddy. Current OS is Mavericks. Can I upload/publish changes from computer using Mavericks? Am afraid I might wipe out published site if I try to upload changes.
Whether you publish the entire site or just the changes you won't wipe out your website. The publish entire site will just replied all files on the server with new ones. The publish changes will just upload those new or modified files.
Sometimes if you have problems upload newly added files a "publish entire site" is necessary.
