Can a iPhone 6 in Hong Kong usable in Malaysia ?

i'm wondering if i buy a iPhone 6 in Hong Kong on 19 September when it launches. Can the phone works with Maxis, Digi etc carrier in Malaysia ?

Is this true for T-mobile as well?  Since you have to buy an unlocked phone for them any way?
"However, you can buy the unlocked iPhone 6 Plus in some countries in Asia and Europe like Singapore, Hong Kong, or Japan. It has a wide range of spectrum frequencies and technically it is compatible with any GSM or CDMA operator."

If your iPhone is locked to a wireless provider, only that wireless provider
can unlock it. Contact the wireless provider in Hong Kong to see if they
offer unlocking and if you qualify.
If your iPhone is locked to an AppleID that you do not know, return it for
a refund as it is useless. Only the person whose AppleID was used for
activation can remove the lock. There is no workaround for Activation Lock.
If neither of the above is what you are facing, provide more detail so someone
    may offer a solution.

  • Can i use the iphone in Hong Kong?

Can i use the iphone in Hong Kong?

You can't use it in Hong Kong with a local carrier if your phone is carrier locked to your current carrier.  No info in your post to detemine whether that's the case.  You can use if you want to pay high roaming charges.

  • Gahh, when can I buy an iPhone in Hong Kong??

Ahh... always out of stock. I wonder if I could buy one on the online store in Canada and let them ship it to my house in HK... lol

And if you were able to find a way to purchase an iPhone from Canada, were anything to go wrong with it requiring service, you'd have to ship the iPhone to someone in Canada to send it to Apple for service.
I understand your frustration, but I'd strongly suggest you just be patient and purchase your iPhone in Hong Kong (from an authorized seller).
    Regards.

  • Can I use a Hong Kong iphone in the UK?

I live in Hong Kong but go to university and spend most of the year in the UK. I want to buy an iphone 4 and its a lot cheaper to buy one in HK but im worried that it wont work if i take it back to the UK. Would it be a safer bet to pay the extra money and buy it in the UK?

All iPhones purchased from official sources in Hong Kong are sold as officially unlocked. Thus, your phone will work fine in the UK with a pre-paid sim from any official carrier in the UK.

  • I Phone bought in Korea can be used in Hong Kong too??? ^^

Hello, I would like to buy i phone 4 in KOREA, I am wondering can I use it when I back to Hong Kong since I will be back to Hong Kong next year after finishing my study. Thank you very much. ^^

That would depend on if they phone is unlocked when you buy it or if it's attached to a certain carrier.  I don't know what is available to purchase over there.  In the USA, you can purchase unlocked phones that work on any carrier that uses the same technology.
I would check with an apple store or maybe the apple site for unlocked phones.

  • Why tata docomo cdma (india) sim is not working with my iPhone 5 A1429 Hong-Kong model?

I have bought second hand iPhone 5 Hong kong model A1429 and it works with all gsm carriers can i use cdma sim in it?
i have iOS 8.1 and i searched through internet and i found that A1429 model supports worldwide GSM and CDMA networks but actually it can not.

That model iPhone should support LTE on Deutsche Telekom. What carrier are you trying to use it with?

  • Is iPhone 5 in USA different iPhone 5 in Hong Kong?

I bought iphone 5 in Hong Kong for 7 or 8 months but the turn of button doesnt work.I want to to apple store in Cambridge in boston today. The guy over said iPhone in Hong Kong and united states are diffierent. Then he say he can't repair it and ask me to reture that phone back to Hong Kong. How can I go to Hong Kong and change it? That's not fun at not. I think apple company is the same but why has to said the phone is different for Asia.

iPhone warranty is not and never has been international, but is
valid only in country of original purchase. Since your iPhone was
purchased in Hong Kong you must return it there for evaluation either
by taking it to Hong Kong personally or send it to a friend/relative there
to take to Apple for repair. iPhone internals for US iPhones are different
from the iPhones sold in Hong Kong and other markets. US Apple stores
will not have the same iPhone in stock and so cannot replace it.
You were told the truth - your iPhone must be returned to Hong Kong for
    evaluation and possible replacement.

  • HT5085 I have moved from the US to Hong Kong and can't change my address or location in Itunes.

I have bought a new Iphone in Hong Kong and want to update my country and billing details. I am told I have alive ITunes match account and I need to cancel it but apart from cancelling the automatic renewal there is no obvious way of doing this. I am stick having tried as many of the usual searches of the support site as possible so any help appreciated.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Click on your account name in the top right corner of the iTunes store in the iTunes application on your computer, enter your password and click the "view account" button. Navigate to the Apple ID summary where you have the option to "change country or region".
In order to change your location, you will need a credit card registered to an address in the location you are trying to change to.
You cannot change your location if you have credit on your account, if you are unable to spend your credit and leave a balance of zero, contact Apple, which you can do through iTunes Store Support.

  • No i-tunes songs available for purchase in Thailand and Hong Kong

I live in Thailand and also have right of residence in Hong Kong. I can't buy i-tunes songs or albums from either store because they are not made available in these countries. Why not? Copying? Neither can I use my Hong Kong credit card to buy from the UK store what I can't buy in Thailand or Hong Kong. This is crazy. I will no longer be buy the i-pod Touch I planned to give my husband for Xmas.

    Why not?
Apple doesn't have permission to make enough songs available for sale there to justify opening a music store.
Neither can I use my Hong Kong credit card to buy from the UK store what I can't buy in Thailand or Hong Kong.
You need an U.K. credit or gift card and an U.K. address to do that. The people who hold the rights to a song may be different in different countries.

  • How can I get my iPhone inspected/fixed (in Hong Kong)?

I have just had an extremely unhelpful experience with Apple Store/Support, and am wondering if anyone has tips on how to get my iPhone repaired quicker.  I live in Hong Kong, so this is probably only of interest to community members here.
My iPhone broke down over the weekend.  Half an hour or so ago, I visited the Apple Store in IFC Mall, and discovered it is now a requirement to make an online booking to seek help from the Genius Bar.  Luckily, an available member of staff did try to assist me.  So far so good.  After tinkering with my phone for a while, he concluded that I needed to have my phone inspected and, for that, I would need to make an online booking.  So I went back to my office and tried to book, only to find that "there are no available appointments".  I called the store, and discover that it is only possible to book for today and tomorrow.  The person on the phone tells me that I can try to book again later.  Bear in mind it is only 10am-ish here in Hong Kong, and bookings for the next 48 (working) hours are already full.  I do not want to risk waiting till tomorrow and discovering that, again, bookings are full.  The guy suggests that I try another store.  I am not keen as I work literally upstairs from the IFC Mall store and the others are far less convenient.  Reluctantly, I try to book elsewhere, but there are also no available appoitments at the other 2 Apple Stores either.  There are a small number of authorised support service providers dotted around Hong Kong, but none are terribly convenient, plus I prefer to do this via the Apple Store if at all possible - and preferably downstairs at the IFC Mall store so that drop-off and eventual pick-up can be easily done while at work.
Is it just me or is this system very consumer-unfriendly?  I asked to speak to a manager at the IFC Mall store to ask if I could just drop my phone off for an inspection, and I was told (a) there isn't a manager in-store and (b) I could leave my name and number and a manager will call me back "in 48 hours".  Meanwhile, my phone does not work at all, yet all I need to do is to drop off my phone for an inspection (I don't even need anyone to look at it).  I have no idea if this is how the Genius Bar works in the rest of the world so maybe my expectations are too high.
Anyway, does anyone have any ideas on how I can get some help from Apple on this?

I'm pleased to report after a bit of persuasion, a second visit to the IFC Mall store this afternoon got me an ad hoc appointment at the Genius Bar so my phone is off for a repair now.

  • I downloaded acdsee camera flash (us$0.99) in Hong Kong's app store, but i cannot find it in the app store after i changed to another iphone. it seems that the app is no longer available in HK, how can I get back the app?

i downloaded acdsee camera flash (us$0.99) in Hong Kong's app store, but i cannot find it in the app store after i changed to another iphone. it seems that the app is no longer available in HK, how can I get back the app?

First make sure you are searching the name correctly.
If the app is no longer in the App Store it is no longer available for download. This happens when Apple has found the app violates the agreement with the developer or when the developer no longer wants the app listed in the App Store.
If the app is truly no longer in the App Store your only option is to copy it from iTunes on the computer you normall sync with.

  • I'm planning to buy iphone 5s in Hong Kong. Can I use this phone in Estonia?

Can I use iPhone 5s from Hong Kong in Estonia?

If you purchase an unlocked phone in Hong Kong, it should work, although since it is not from your country, it is possible that not all features will work.

  • If I buy an iphone 5 in the US (e.g. unlocked Verizon's version), can I use it in other countries such as Hong Kong?

If I buy an iphone 5 in the US (e.g. unlocked Verizon's version), can it be used in other countries such as Hong Kong simply by change the SIM card?
    Thank you!

I'm not sure why you think a Verizon phone is unlocked?  All iPhones sold in the US are carrier locked.
