Can a MAC be brand new again?

I don't know if this makes sense, but I bought my cousin's G5 from him a couple of weeks ago and he deleted almost all of his stuff on the computer. The thing is there is still little things here and there. Is there any way to start this computer fresh as if I just bought the computer brand new with nothng on it. I would like to start making it more about what I want and like. Can someone tell me if this is possible? FYI my first MAC ever so I'm new to all of this.

OK, you better not erase... we'll actually you can't, but another point besides having the Disc is "the" license to use the OS, you'll need it for repairing the HD & such.
If I did do what you said is there anyway to get that disk?
You can call Apple with the Serial# handy & see if they have a replacement Original Install Disc.
Be very careful about getting a Disc online, feel free to ask if you find one & have questions.

If not I would really like to know what settings you think might work.
You can get very close to a New Mac's settings by using System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little + icon, make a new Admin account for you, then use the login Options to set it to log you in, then restart.
Or you could tell us what you don't like exactly & we can step you through the way to change possibly!

When you buy software, the serial number is really what you're buying, since the software is typically downloadable. So don't throw it away in the future.
If you registered the software before you threw away your serial number, then Adobe may have a record of your purchase.

The iPhone 4S is locked to Verizon; not sure if it can be used on other domestic carriers if it is unlocked. You would need to contact both Verizon and Tracfone about this.

How can I make my Mac like "brand new"?

I apologise for this being somewhat rambling but it's hard to explain exactly what I want to do.
I have decided to give my iMac G5 to my sister-in-law. (I have already replaced it with an Intel iMac and MacBook and three computers in one house is over the top!) I would really like for her to have the "out of the box" experience as if the Mac was new.
It originally came with Panther and iLife 4. I have since upgraded to Tiger and iLife '05 and I would like to have these installed for my sister-in-law rather than the original software. However, she needs Appleworks which I only have on the Panther disks. I know I have to do an erase and install of Tiger (I'm not quite sure how to do that though) and install iLife '05. I assume I can just install Appleworks from the Panther disks. Can I do all of this and not have to enter personal details, such as a name for the home folder? It would be nice for my sister-in-law to plug in the Mac and then get to do that herself, as if it was brand new.
My sister-in-law isn't terribly familiar with computers in general. She's never even seen a Mac. I realise I could just do the Tiger install and leave her to do the iLife and Appleworks. But being so new to it all, it would be easier if I could do it for her.
Any advice, as always, would be appreciated.

If you have ever had any personal files on the iMac which you would rather not share with anyone, you should use Disk Utility to erase the hard drive using the option to write zeroes. Overwriting the files is the only way to ensure that they can't be recovered at a later date.
After that is complete, use the restore discs that came with your iMac to reinstall all of the original software (including AppleWorks). Then use the Tiger install disc to upgrade it to Tiger.

HELP! When I unplug my charger by mistake and want to plug it back, my mac air (brand new) won't charge again!

I just bought a new macbook air 11". I started to plug it in when the battery was going down. I usually have the laptop on my lap and sometimes by mistake the charger unplugs itself. When I put it back, my mac does not charge again (no light on the charger and no sign of charge on the menu bar). I thought it could be a sort of security but it is very unconveniant.

Nothing wrong, no panic. Some general remarks:
a. the battery will not be charged when over 95% full; a full battery is not charged
b. it is good for the battery to have it go down to about 50% before recharging, say once a week at least.
c. never let the battery go down completely, so that it shuts off on its own: that is very bad for a modern smart Li battery.
d. sometimes the old "battery calibration" procedure is advised, you should not do that.
trick: when you click the little battery icon in the top menu bar, you also see if there is a heavy energy user running.

Mac Pro - Brand New

I was about scared to buy a new Mac Pro with so many issues I have read about. But, I can gladly say that I just purchased a brand new stock Mac Pro from the Apple Store yesterday and everything has been PERFECT!
I had many updates to do however right out of the box. I had to install 10.5.2 for instance. Over 350mb the first software update. The second update was for iPhoto and the Leopard Graphic update and the third and final one was the almost dreaded Radeon 2600 one that as of the update I have had no issues whatsoever.
So, the moral of the story is if you are considering buying a Mac Pro but are a bit worried from what you are reading here...go for it...is all I can say.

Well, I forgot there is one minor issue I did run into three times last night. I have a Monster Power block that I plugged all of my computer gear into and I noticed that when I ever so slightly bumped it, the Mac Pro would turn off. I accidently hit it again one more time and again it turned off. I was just trying to hide all the wires behind my desk and tuck them back neatly is what caused me to hit the power block twice and one time I was just moving some wires around behind the Mac Pro when it happened.
Any ideas on what could cause this?

How can I replace a brand new, but malfunctional iPhone 4?

Hey, guys.
I am from Russia, and on our recent trip to Munich, Germany we've bought a new iPhone 4 8gb for my wife at the Apple Store. When we got home in a couple of days, I unboxed it, plugged in and proceed to install iOS6 wirelessly. On the next day we went to the carrier office for a local microSIM, and my wife started to use the phone. But suddenly we've discovered that it won't last even a half of a day: while charged up to 100% overnight, it dropped to 80ish in about two hours, and after dinner break it was already way below 30-40 percent only to discharge completely at 5 or 6 pm.
And all this while every 3G, WiFi, BT, geolocation or even cellular data is turned off. She just made a couple of calls, so all other time it was in standby. I saw this myself in the evening, you can hold it in your hand and literally look how battery percentage drops one by one. Also the phone is getting hot while screen is lit and extremely hot when it charges up.
We don't have an Apple store in our country, so I can't get any official support. I can't contact Russian Apple support by phone, because it redirects me to carriers' support and they can't do anything. I didn't find any e-mail address to write to. I started digging this forum and found similar problems in regard of some kind of a bug in iOS 6, as well as some solutions, none of which were working. For instance, I wiped the phone completely, restoring only contacts from icloud and disabling everything power-consuming I could find. Sadly, it didn't help.
So, I decided to give it to local service for some diagnostics. They ran it and results came back: phone is malfunctional because of some serious internal issues like abnormally increased voltage from the battery, bent microboard, slightly melt components and so on. They said it is beyond repair and is only subject for replacement or disassemble for spare parts. All this with a brand new device.
You can imagine my frustration. We don't have any financial means to travel back again just to replace it, nor can we send it over via postage service. The only reasonable solution would be to transfer it back to Germany with a random friend, but I am not sure if it is possible to make a replacement, becuase I've paid for it with credit card and there is my name on the receipt.
So, the question is, what should I do? Is there any way to replace it without my personal presence in the store; can it be done by someone else? And if not, can a friend just give it back, and they would refund it to my credit card? Also, is it mandatory to return it exactly to the same store, or any store in Europe can take it?
I would really appreciate if someone with a silmilar experience would elaborate on the solution. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone how I can get a brand new iPhone 3GS as a warranty replacement for my iPhone 3GS? I already had the phone replaced once with a refurbished phone that has a problem with becoming frozen and unresponsive. This occurred ten times since I got the phone on 4/16/2011. I have tried doing a hard reset and have also restored the phone as a new device. I have an Apple Care plan. I am concerned that the refurbished phones will not be reliable due to my experience with the refurbished one that I got as a replacement.

In any case an iMac G5 is the 2006 model of the All in one. Don't think new versions of those exist anywhere.
If you mean the Last gen Mac Pro (looked like G5 Power Mac) which is the predecessor to the new Mac Pro black cylinder: since apple no longer makes that version, but instead is making the New Mac Pros now, its probably going to be difficult to find a new G5. Unless a computer store happens to have left over inventory.
Price would tentatively be lower, but again finding one is going to be very difficult.

I'm looking for mounths to buy a brand new 30" Apple Cinema Display. I went to some Apple reseller/Apple Stores and each of them didn't really knew where I could buy it since it's discontinued. I can't believe there is no brand new 30" Apple Cinema Display lying around in some Apple Stores/Apple general center at Toronto or anywhere in USA.

Have you done google searches for it ("Apple 30" cinema display")? That's all I can recommend.
A quick google search turned up this page which apparently lists some new 30"s.
Note, I did not follow those links to see if "new" really meant "new".

You can start by not using all caps - using all caps on the internet is considered as SHOUTING and hopefully you didn't intend to be shouting at all those who read your post.
When you say case, do you mean the iPhone casing itself?
If so, you can contact AppleCare for a quote to repair this damage which won't be cheap. I believe there are some 3rd party repair facilities available that will do the same won't be cheap but maybe somewhat less than what Apple will charge.
Or purchase a case for the iPhone to cover the dents and scratches and to protect it from additional damage with future drops.
