  • How can a PowerPoint presentation be shown inside the front panel of a given application ?

I´m developing a application and I thought it would be a great idea if I could somehow show a PowerPoint presentation inside its front panel. Can it be done using LabVIEW active x vis or can´t it be done at all ?
    Thanks in advance !!

Like I said, I tried that option (and even got it work somehow, by connecting nodes from other places and using type casts), but I don't think it can manage that in a real app.
After thinking about this some more, I've come to an unlikable conclusion - it's possible that there is no AX control for PP. Not for animation, anyway. If I remember correctly, when you open a PP presentation in Internet Explorer, you see the slides, but not the animation. If an AX control would exist, I'm sure IE would use it, which is why I think there probably isn't one.
You can get a presentation into an AX container very easily by choosing the third option (open from file). Then, if you select a PP presentation, it will open in the container. However, if I remember correctly, you have no properties and methods to control it, and I don't think it will show the animation, so it's a bit useless.
Maybe someone does know of a way...

  • Able to page through powerpoint presentation when in "Get Info"

    Hello all
In order to open a ppt, I have been launching my windows OS.
I notice though that on my desktop icon I can see the cover page of the powerpoint presentation and if I click on "Get Info" I can even page through the entire ppt using the Preview pane.
Just curious what my mac is using to give me a preview of this powerpoint presentation?

Oh whoops. You said powerpoint. So I should have said Keynote, not Numbers. Regardless, they're both a part of the iWork suite.
Yes, you can edit powerpoint presentations from Keynote, but it has its own transitions/themes/etc., so if you're planning on handing that powerpoint file back to someone who's going to open it in Microsoft's Powerpoint, you end up being unable to retain some of the formatting/transition decisions you've made.
Obviously if you're going to use it to just make a presentation then it's awesome. I've given presentations with Keynote (recently, actually) in front of a class and had them say "What was that? It looked awesome!" Then I tell them it's Mac only and they get sad.
So, short answer, yes, long answer, it depends on what you're doing.
Fortunately, you can download a free trial of iWork for 30 days! http://www.apple.com/iwork/download-trial/

  • Importing Windows PowerPoint Presentation

I work for a company whom only supports Windows. I have a IPad that I want to use for presntations. Do I have to have a MAC with Keynotes to import PC Powerpoint files or will the IPAD applicationa allow me to do so as a stand alone?
If not does anybody have any ideas of a solution besides going out to buy a MAC?
(though it is on the wish list)

Keynote for iPad can import PowerPoint presentations directly; no need to have Keynote on a Mac to convert. See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4066
There are other apps that can also import and display PowerPoint presentations, such as Documents To Go, but if you want to use the iPad in conjunction with a projector, you'll want to confirm that the app you select can (as Keynote can) output to the VGA adapter.
    Regards.

  • How to burn Powerpoint presentation to IMovie?

Can I take my Powerpoint presentation and save as a movie and then burn to a DVD via IMovie?
I am attempting to view this at home on a DVD player before presenting the PPT to a group on a big screen soon. I want to see how it comes across on a bigger screen than what I have on my monitor. Any help is appreciated!

If you have iDVD and a DVD burner (SuperDrive) on your mac, you can choose that as an export option in iMovie.
Or you can save your movie to the desktop as a Full Quality Movie and drag it to iDVD from there.
    Here's a great tutorial:

    Hi
Please describe How You go from PPT to iDVD. Via iMovie ?
If so - then convert Your .wma file to .aiff (same kHz) and use this in iMovie instead. (no .mp3 either)

  • How can I import an i-tune into a powerpoint presentation?

I am preparing a slide show for my wife's birthday on powerpoint 3.0, and I am a beginner. I want to play a song and show 93 slides. When I try to import the song by a file name, I can get into itunes, and I can select the artist and get to the album folder, but I can rarely get the song title itself to appear, and even when it does, I get a message saying that I have not designated the proper path, and tells me to check the path.
Does anyone out there know how to break through past the artist and album name and load an itune into a powerpoint presentation through the "insert" and "movies and sounds" command features?
I can play the music through the CD player and do the slide show, but I want to put the music into the presentation so that I can put the whole thing into a CD.
    Can anyone help? Thanks

You probably need to link directly to the music not going through iTunes. If the music is from iTunes store you will need to convert to mp3 first then link to the mp3 version.

  • Can I insert a powerpoint presentation in Keynote

Can I insert a small powerpoint presentation on one of my keynote slides - I'd like to be able to keep the keynote presentation running, but click and bring up the powerpoint slides and when done - I need it to go back to my keynote slides.
When I try to insert - the .pptx files are greyed out.

Open the PowerPoint file in Keynote:     File >Open
copy and paste these slides into the other presentation at the place you want them to show

  • Can I use the ipad 2 to run Powerpoint presentations?

I am in need of a device besides the traditional laptop to run Powerpoint presentations from. Can I link this with a projector with the VGA adapter? And will the ipad 2 run Powerpoint presentations?

You will have different settings for each device, even with the same account.
Don't worry about setting it up - just connect them to iTunes, which will detect them as seperate devices, with distinct names, and for each you can choose which things you want to sync over.

  • I'm new to keynotes and I have a lot of powerpoint presentations I'm trying to salvage.  I can't get the slides to change on a click plus I can't find the way to change the "transition" time changes within each slide.  Where can I find the answer

I'm new to keynotes and I'm trying to salvage several powerpoint presentations.  I can't control my slide presentations by clicking to change slides and/or for transitions within the slides.  I'm sure there's an answer but I can't find it.  Can someone please give me directions.

Show the Inspector;   view > show inspector
to run a presentation using manual control:
Inspector > Document: set Presentation to Normal
many transitions set in PowerPoint are not available in Keynote;  to set the transition options:
    Inspector > Slide > Transition
select the effect you want and either choose auto or manual control

  • Can I convert a pdf to use in a powerpoint presentation

can I convert a pdf to use in a powerpoint presentation

..and now I can reply less cryptically:
Export to PowerPoint (PPTX) is available in Acrobat XI Pro.
The all-new Save As > Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation feature will not only convert an existing PDF file into an editable PPTX file, it will (try to) recognize elements and reconstruct Master Slides, re-convert Speaker Notes and convert things like tables into genuine PowerPoint tables. The feature works on both Windows and Mac.

  • I have a problem projecting from a powerpoint presentation onto a projector ? can someone help....

I have a problem projecting from a powerpoint presentation onto a projector ? can someone help....

    Hi Yogang,
Unles I am mistaken, the USB to AV cables are only used to deliver an AV signal to the Mac (such as a DVD player, etc) to enable the AV to be recorded.
If you want to transmit powerpoint to a projector, you need to use the displayport on the Mac. Once this is connected, the mac will automatically pick it up and set the projector up as a second monitor.
Depending on the model Mac you are using and also the avaliable connections you have to the projector, will tell you the type on connector you need.
These are DP to VGA, DP to DVI, DP to HDMI. The last one, if you have a mdern Mac, should also carry the audio signal to the projector.

  • Why can't I open my Powerpoint presentations with Keynote in my new Ipad 4 although?

Im using Icloud to share the powerpoint file from my windows to my Ipad. But, I still can open my powerpoint presentations neither in my Iphone.. Can someone help me, please. Thank you.

I have checked the list of supported cameras and mine appears to be there.
Yes, the Panasonic FZ45 is listed but it was first supported by Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 6.2.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
Then go to this table to see which versions of Photoshop are compatible with ACR 6.2: CS5 and later. Not CS3.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
So your options are to upgrade to CS6 or subscribe to CC (check out the Photoshop Photography Program: PS CC + Lightroom 5).
Or download the free DNG converter, convert all your FZ75 Raw files to DNGs then open the DNGs in CS3

  • IMAGES in POWERPOINT presentation can't be read by a Windows PC

I create a POWERPOINT PRESENTATION on a Mac and insert image files (jpg) from Google into the slides. The presentation works fine on the Mac.
I then go and playback this presentation on any Windows PC and it can't read the images, displaying an error message in the image frame of each such slide about some TIFF driver missing to display this image.
    What do I do wrong?
PowerPC G5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   Powerpoint 2004 for Mac

I have had this problem before, but I use the following work around.
    1) Copy the graphic to clipboard with Command C (or use the Grab utility, then copy to memory)
    2) Create a new document in Photoshop (it should automatically create the correct size)
    - Paste
    - Cut
    4) Switch back to PowerPoint Mac and Paste it back in.
I do this routinely now when creating PowerPoint presentations and it works every time on PCs.
