Can a "Raid" formate be helpful

I have two hard drive on my Mac - a 40 GB & a 60 GB drive. Would a "Raid" combine the drive so as to provide me with a 10 GB solution? If so how? If not why?
Secondly how can I move my "Bootable" drive over to the larger drive?
Can I do so using Disk Utility's "Restore" feature?
I'm running a Power Mac, G4, “QuickSilver”, 733 MHz with a L2 cache of 256 KB and a bus speed of 133 MHz. It’s Memory is max’ed out at 1.5 GB and it’s Boot ROM is version 4.2.5f1. the CPU is a Power PC G4 (2.1).

Yes, assuming you meant 100 GB.

Yes also, however I would recommend Carbon Copy Cloner, just be sure make bootable is checked in the preferences.

Are these images "Raw" images? What is the make of your camera?
Check the version of the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update that is installed. The version of the raw support is shown in the About panel: from the main menu bar:

If you have the latest raw support installed, but Aperture does not recognize the format, try to register the raw support for your camera with the launch services db, see this post by Alan Roseman:

Cannot get iTunes to acknowledge my iPhone on formatted computer -Help!!!!

I formatted my computer to give it a bit of a clean out and improve performance and what not. I built the system back up and reinstalled iTunes but it won't now acknowledge my iPhone. I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to fix this with the troubleshooting guide to no avail.
This is from the troubleshoot guide:
iPhone requires two important pieces of software to operate properly on Windows. First, the driver must be installed; for iPhone the driver is USBAAPL.SYS. Second, Apple Mobile Device Support must be installed as a Windows Service. If these are not installed, see the Reinstall iTunes section below.
I have reinstalled iTunes 5 times. I have confirmed that my computer does indeed have both of the requirements mentioned in the Troubleshoot above. The only thing that seems a bit amiss is although USBAAPL.SYS is in the \System 32\Drivers folder when I go to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers in the list of devices found in devmgmt.msc the iPhone is not showing up. I figure this is likely to be the problem but I've tried for hours to work our a solution.
All the USB ports on my computer and functioning correctly and the iPhone camera is acknowledged by Windows and the iPhone will charge while connected. I have connected the iPhone when fully charged but it's invisible to iTunes. My iPhone has not been updated with the 2.2 update so is currently running the 2.1 firmware.
Can anyone please please please help me with this??!! Any help would be gratefully received.

This is how I corrected this problem with the iPhone 5.
Reinstalling the usb driver in win8 by going to device mgr/ portable devices.
Click update driver and and then directing the computer to search the apple folder ...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.

Java.lang.IllegalStateException:Can't Obtain format

I am trying to run an image manipulation program on a Tomcat server. When the program deals with PNG images it is fine but everytime it trying to do anything with JPEG2000 images it throws the java.lang.IllegalStateException:Can't Obtain format error. I have placed all the relevent jars in the shared/lib folder of my Tomcat installation and so it shouldn't have any problem finding the format but it is. Can anyone help?

I wrote the program myself using javax.imageio.* and javax.media.jai.* libraries. It's just a program that converts from TIFF to JPEG2000. It works well when I run it locally but as soon as I deploy it on Tomcat it throws the error.

Hi Sree,
The format mapping is well defined and all the fields that you require are available for use in the transaction code CRMD_MKTPL_MAP.
You also have BADI for enhancements CRM_MKTLIST_CUSTOMER
Campaign element ID is the field for entering the campaign due to which you have been able to track the lead. For example if your company has run a road show and during that you get some visiting cards from people interested in the product then they become lead in your system and the campaign is the reference from which you got them so that road show's id will be maintained in the campaign Id field

You don't need Handbrake for that if it is your own DVD.
You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle.
a DVD is in a compresed format called mpeg2, which is standard across all DVDs. This is what is known as a 'final delivery format' and is not suitable for editing. Because is is compressed, a 4.7GB DVD can hold a two hour movie (dual layer DVDs twice that), whereas the DV stream from a video camera, which runs at about 13GB per hour, is not compressed and IS intended for editing.
In other words you have to 'reverse engineer' the DVD back to an uncompressed format in ordfer to edit it. There is a penalty for doing this in terms of slight quality loss, but it is one you can live with.
When you have your DVD as an icon on your desktop, double-click it, and it will open to reveal a TS-Folder containing a number of various files, some called VOB. These are the constituent parts of any video DVD.
When you have downloaded and installed mpegStreamclip, and purchased and installed the Apple mpeg2 plugin, open mpegStreamclip and drag the entire TS Folder into its window. Then using the various menus available to you (just explore them and you will get the hang of it) ask it to convert to DV.
That DV file, which will be many times larger than the original TS Folder, and which can a while to create (be patient - make coffee or prune the roses!) is what you can now import into iMovie for editing etc.
When you have finished doing that, you then have to turn the project back into a DVD.

For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.

HUGE Troubles with xServe RAID formatted 10.4 and using it with SLS 10.6

Hi All,
We met today a huge trouble using an Apple xServe RAID (formatted HFS+ with a Mac OS 10.4 Server PowerPC G5).
This RAID has been plugged with a new xServe Intel Xeon (Model xServe 3.1), MacOS X 10.6.2, Apple FiberChannel card 4 GB, the link is at 2 GB.
There is also an Infortrend RAID FiberChannel 4 GB Fiber to SATA RAID attached to this new Intel Xeon server : this RAID drive mounts correctly, no troubles.
BUT the "old" xServe RAID is not able to mount at all while plugged with this new Intel Xeon, DiskUtility claims the volume needs repair !!! We try a repair = failed !!!
The xServe RAID has been formated under 10.4.6, HFS+ Journaled.
The Infortrend has been formated under 10.6.2, HFS+
Does anyone met a such case ??? We tried using SFP to SFP Copper cable or Optical Fiber + SFP/LC Transceiver = same results

What if you connect your "old" xServe RAID to a non SLS server if you have one available? Preferably one running 10.4.x server to match your HFS format. If the data on the old RAID is so critical that you can't afford to lose it, you could always pickup a used PPC w/ a fibre channel card and install 10.4 server on it just so you can transfer the data. Curious to see what you end up doing.

If it doesn't have hours, the {0} should manage it and the description shouldn't have the nonsense 0:00 time (it happens, if date is without hours)
I know that i should write something to {0} but thats the question. Maybe someone has better knowlegdne of this technique?

You can check DecimalFormat for numeric data, or ChoiceFormat for formatting a range of numbers.
There is also a tutorial from Sun about formatting.

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now.

settings - general - usuage - music - delete. Then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then sync the music back via iTunes.
