Can a single event exist in multiple Calenders?

Hello All,
I am wondering if it is possible to have a single event exist in multiple calenders with iCal. This is my situation:
I use a Mac Mini with 10.5.8, MobileMe, and an iPod Touch. In iCal I have some Calenders that I have created (work, personal, parties, etc.), and some subscriptions, (last.fm attending and recommendations, facebook) and a google calender that is shared with my co-workers and one that is shared with some of my friends that we use for coordinating parties, hanging out on weekends, going to shows.
Right now, let's say a show comes down from last.fm and I want it to show up in the calender shared with my friends. Right now I have to copy paste the event from one calenders to the other. Friends that subscribe to the calender see the event just fine, but I now have two events that are exactly identical except the calendar they are part of. If this happens to be a local band and they post the show to facebook ( or any other cal really) I end up with an additional event.
I had a semi-solution for a while that by subscribing to all of the non local calenders thru google calender I could read/write the event, and for example change the calender from 'last.fm' to 'shared with all my friends' However it seems that that was some kind of glitch as it has stopped working for events created less then about two weeks ago.
All of the solutions that I have been able to find suggest using 'invitations, however, even with my all apple environment (OSX, ipod, MobileMe) I simply cannot get invitations to work with in my own system or friends also using apple products. and its about a 50/50 split between people useing Apple stuff or Android, or Windows. Additionally, the reason that this shared calender was set up in the first place is because some people simply do not respond or make note of invitations/emails but are EXTREMELY happy when the events just show up.
What I would like, is to be able to have for example the event 'Dinner party on sunday' to exist in two or more calenders at once, with out the event being duplicated. I am open to any solution to getting this system working. I would prefer a solution using ical/mobileme as thats what I have, but am open to google calender, or really anything that will make it work.
Also I have Access to a computer with Leopard Server and have been playing with the calender server but mostly have just succeeded in repeatedly breaking the service when trying to do most anything besides turning it on so I am open to an iCal Server solution as well, but that seems to be a little beyond my knowledge.

Can a single Mail account have multiple outgoing people names?

I notice that Postbox seems to work well with multiple identities. In addition, you can set a different name for each identity, such as:
John Smith for [email protected]
Support for [email protected]
Is there a way to do that in Apple Mail? If not, I think I'll switch to Postbox. It's on sale for $6.95 for a short time.

Just tried one thing and it worked for me.
Close Mail app.
go to ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
and copy file Accounts.plist somewhere to keep the orriginal safe if something goes wrong.
then open Accounts.plist with text editor (do not use rich text editor, just plain text)
in this file look for

<string>The name you call your account</string>
The name you call your account should be the rel name of that account
then somewhere bellow you should see

Single ERS Invoice for multiple POs with different GS and same IP

Dear All,
I have a Requirement as per the below scenario:
We need to have single invoice created using ERS (MRRL) functionality in the below scenario:
Two POs created with different Partner function GS (goods supplier) and same IP (Invoice party partner function).
Ex:
GS IP PO GR ERS
vendor1 10001 4500001 500001 Yes ( GR-IV-Yes, GR done- Yes, same payment terms - 001)
vendor2 10001 4500002 500002 Yes ( GR-IV-Yes, GR done- Yes, same payment terms - 001)
When I run ERS for last 1 week (GR) and select the option (Doc selection – per IP or other criteria like GRs posted in last one week) , system should create 1 invoice document. Standard SAP posts 2 documents for each GS.
I have tried using 2 user exits for MRRL, but none of them work for this functionality.

Go for MIRO without MRRL.
Instead ERS, you can post single Invoice(MIRO) for multiple POs for one vendor.
OR
Check with Technical consultant and go for development to have single ERS output for multiple ERS invoice documents for single vendor.

Single Event / Multiple Calendars. Share All iCal At Once.....

Hi,
I would like to share my calendars with my partner - we are both iCal/iCloud users.
We would like a calendar that is for our own personal use, which is straight forward enough, but it would be great if single entries within that calendar can be added to multiple calendars, so an event could be added to 'personal' as well as 'projectX'. Is this possible?
Also, I use iCal for scheduling my work and individual projects - each project has it's own calendar. Is it possible for me to share all of those calenders wholesale without having to share each individual one?... essentially a single read only calender share so that my partner doesn't get the clutter of multiple calenders but get's the overall picture.

Linking multiple emails to a single event in ical and/or to do's

Hi:
Often I receive emails and I want to link them to an event in ical. OS X does this just fine as long as there is date in the email that OS X can recognize. The problem is sometimes I get multiple emails relating to the same event and I would like to be able to link all of those emails to one single event in ical. My same questions applies to 'to do' items.
And a follow up question--say I receive an email that has no date explicit in the text-I've tried to find some function that would allow me to schedule a new event in ical and would link that email to it. (I hope that all makes sense) I'm open to whatever solution I'll even pay money for 3rd party software if anyone knows of a good program. But I"m looking to stick to the basic ical interface. Any suggestions?

seems this is one of visio graphics limitation regarding the external data.
visio graphics, may only support for one row.
you may consider this idea :

How do I split a single event with many clips into multiples events, one event per date?

I archived the video from my AVCHD camera into a Final Cut video archive. Later I imported this into iMovie. All the clips from this archive (spanning several months) are dumped into a single event. If I recall, older versions of iMovie would import video into separate events for each day. Then I would go through and give each event a meaningful name (e.g., "Mary's Birthday").
This is what I would like. Is there a way to split this very long event into multiple events, one for each day that is present in the event?

Not automatically but with imovie 10 you can create new events with any name you like then move clips into them from other events (Just like FCP 10.1). See:

Can Windows Server Backup spread a single backup job across multiple disks if they are not set up as a virtual disk?

This may be a dumb question, but I can't seem to find any definitive information after having done many, many searches. Short question is - can Windows Server Backup spread a single backup job across multiple disks if they are not in a storage
pool or some other RAID/JBOD structure?
Background:
I'm running Server 2012 Essentials with all Windows Updates installed. I have been backing up approx 2.8TB of data (Bare Metal Recovery, C:, S: (shared folders), and system reserved) for the past year+ onto a storage pool made up of two-2TB external
USB drives. Backup is slow (takes approx 1.5 days to complete), but generally works. Not surprisingly I was constantly getting capacity low messages so I decided to increase my backup storage pool by adding a 3TB drive and another spare 750GB drive
for a total of 7.75TB. Instead of having four separate external USB enclosures, I bot a 4-bay enclosure - Startech.com model #S3540BU33E to simplify this (or so I thought!).
The first problem I had was adding the two new drives to the existing storage pool. I think that is because the Startech uses a JMicron USB controller that reports identical uniqueid's for all drives so only one shows up in the GUI interface for creating storage
pools. After doing research on this, I set up a new storage pool and virtual disk using all four drives via Powershell and thought I was good. However, when the backup ran, it failed after filling the first drive, saying there was no remaining capacity. In
reality there were three remaining empty drives and there storage pool reported almost 5TB of avail capacity. I assumed this was due to the identical uniqueid issue so I decided to try a different tactic.
Instead of using a storage pool that combines all four disks into one virtual disk, I just added each of them to Windows Server Backup as individual drives thinking it would manage them collectively. I.e., when a drive filled up during a particular backup,
it would just start using the next drive and so on. Apparently this was a foolish assumption because the backup failed again as soon as the first disk filled up.
So now I don't know if this is still an issue with the identical uniqueid's or if Server Backup actually can't spread a single backup across multiple individual drives that aren't in a pool or other virtual disk implementation. Hence, my original question.
My guess is that it does *not* spread them across individual disks, but I just wanted to get confirmation.

Thank you for following up on my question.
Unfortunately the article you referenced doesn't address what I am trying to accomplish.
The article focuses on saving the same backup job to multiple disks and rotating the disks between on and offsite for enhanced protection. However, it still requires that an individual backup job fits on a single disk.
What I am trying to determine is if a single backup job can span across more than one physical disk (during the backup process) without those physical disks being in some type of virtual disk implementation (e.g., storage pool, RAID, etc.).

Can a single AE receive and deliver multiple signals at the same time?

I've looked through the forums and the AE pdf manual and have not been able to find a definitive answer so far.
We have a (all Apple) cafe in a remote location with no Apple support and we presently operate wireless music and wireless internet for customer use from one iMac and one AE. The iMac is also our cashier station. We have another iMac for customers who don't have their own laptops. The iMacs switch to screensaver displays promoting the cafe when not in use.
Our wired TV monitors that are currently not associated with our AE display either satellite TV, cable TV or from DVD player using a manually switched hub with the three separate receivers wired to the hub.
We want to add streaming TV from the internet to the TV monitors so we will have four sources. I am looking at connecting this internet streaming TV source to the TVs via AE hence I want to also allow the other TV sources to operate via AE. If possible, we would also like to switch in the screensaver from one iMac on a timed basis (or using Apple remote to one iMac) if there is nothing else of particular interest on the TVs.

The AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) does not have a TV or video output.
The AEBS, just like any other router, supports multiple clients simultaneously. Of course there is always bandwidth limitations for any device. So in theory the AEBS can support all of that. In reality the performance of each service will depend on the bandwidth used by each and the bandwidth available. This is no different than any router.

Any clue, how i can add a mail account to apple mail app, but with separate password / pin to open it.
Years ago there was a program called mail switcher which added this functionality, but thats gone.

They would have to be logged in as separate users in order not to see your account in Mail. Whatever accounts put in Mail under your account will show up. All mail accounts usually have there own user and password. The only thing you can do is to remove the password from Keychain and take the account offline so you don't keep getting prompts for passwords each time it checks for mail.
Not a great solution.
Best way is to give the other user their own user account with their own mail and enable fast user swithcing to log between the different users if all access the computer frequently.

Yes you can have and for that you don't need any config.
just go to VL31N and from header hit the purchase order button and either enter the PO numbers or let system pulls the PO based on the selection adn than select all the POs adn hit adopt selected button and save.
this will create one inbound delivery

I have 3 tables. ONE is the Master table and other 2 tables having Primary and foreign key relationships with the Master Table.
Data is enter in the Tables 2 & 3 (based on Master Table Primary key)
I have to use a DB Adapter in BPEL Process which will be in Transaction (what type of Transaction is Best in such a Scenario).
- How do i implement it in BPEL.
- Can i use a Single DB Adapter for Multiple Tables ? (*Views* should not be created for tables 1, 2 & 3),
as we want to avoid using multiple DB Adapters, as in future Tables may increase or decrease...
- while in Transaction if Table 2 fails in Inserting / Updating, it should roll back on error and also if Table 3 fails in Inserting / Updating, it should roll back table 2 and Table 3.
- how access to concurrent users is maintained / managed in such a scenarios.
But everything should be done using Single DB Adapter without creating a separate view.
Is this Possible in BPEL..
If not, How do we design, Implementation such a BPEL Process in Transaction with a best in Performance (both BPEL Process & DB Resources)

If we use PL/SQL, how do we implement transaction and Exception Handling appropriately based on the Error / Exception in BPEL.
If the Table 2 or Table 3 gives out Error / Exception, i have to handle it separately and intimate accordingly.
Suppose, if Table 2 got Error / Exception - Error Handling would be 'Roll back due to error in Table2'

Greetings forum members,
My question is, in its entirety: Can a single report (rpt file) create multiple PDF files using the export command, ideally one PDF file per DB record?
In my case; I have a Crystal Report that reads data from a DB table containing ~ 500 records. When I export the report to a PDF file, I get one PDF file, with ~ 500 pages.
What I would like to do is export the report to ~ 500 individual PDF files; One file per DB record. The file names would be based on the table's primary key.
Is this possible?

Hi,
you need some lines of code, but its easy. Dependend on how to start the generation of your 500 PDFs, you can write an ASP page and start it via Web Browser, or a Windows Script and start it via scheduled job...
Here's an abstract of the ASP code I use:
First, you create a recordset (here: "rsc") which gives you the list of ID fields you want to export, then you create CrystalRuntime.Application object, then you loop through the recordset, open your report (here: "oRpt") and set login info. Then set the selectionformula, so that the report displays only the data of the current ID, e.g.:
oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula = "(" & oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula & ") AND {myTab.myVal}=" & rsc("myVal")
Then you export the report, move to the next record in recordset, and repeat the loop until recordset.EOF. Then you close recordset and connection.

Scanning into iphoto 08 creates single events can I change that?

When scanning photos into iphoto 08 with my epson flatbed my individual scans show up as single events, so if I scan 100 pictures of Dad I have 100 separate events. Is there a way to pre-select creating one event before I begin the scan process? Also is there a way to target the event I want a scan to end up in?

But once you scan several you can select all the events you just created and click merge and merge them into one event
Or scan to a folder on the desktop and then import that folder into iPhoto (probably want to turn off the option to split items imported from the finder into events)

Can Touch Events and Swipe Events exist in the same frame and/or movie?

After having fully tested a file with touch events I decided to add both a touch event and swipe event to a frame.
I started by importing the following statements:
Multitouch.inputMode = MultitouchInputMode.TOUCH_POINT;
Multitouch.inputMode = MultitouchInputMode.GESTURE;
I then added th appropriate code but only touch events worked. I fiddled so more and only the gesture events worked. So before I move any further, I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time trying to get them to work together.
So my questions are:
Can Touch Events and Swipe Events exist together in the same frame?
Can Touch Events and Swipe Events exist scene?
A reference to more information about this would be helpful, if you know of any.

I am aware of the latest releases of the components along with the plug-ins.
This note is applicable to your scenario but you might face some issues related to organization rule wizard, custom user group creation and EAM DB log collection, as mentioned at the bottom of the note. No matter on what SP level you are with GRCFND_A at 10.1, you would face these issues.
