can a slide show created on iMac be shown on an iPad ?

If you use keynote on both, yes.
You can also have keynote remote on your iphone to control the slides on your ipad.

Just a note...Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 are standalone products. Each comes with the
Elements Organizer 13. When both are on the same computer, they share the same Elements Organizer 13.

  • Can a slide show be created  in photoshop elements 11 that can be viewed on an ipod?

can a slide show be created  in photoshop elements 11 that can be viewed on an ipod?

You can create a sideshow in PSE but I don't know anything about ipod so can't tell you whether it can be viewed in it.
Just for interest sake, what does an ipod do?  I thought it was mainly for the music and speech based stuff but you seems to suggest otherwise.
For an old tutorial of creating  SIDESHOW SEE THIS VIDEO:

    Good luck.

When you installed version 10 did you convert your previous catalog?
If so, your projects should appear in the PSE10 Organizer. To search for them type PSESS into the search box.
You should then be able to open the project by double clicking on  its thumbnail.
Then choose Output >> Edit in Premier Elements

Their website talks about some sort of plug-in that you can get : http://www.photodex.com/products/plugins/device - persumably (and I'm guessing) it converts the output into something that is compatible and can be synced to the iPad's Videos app

    Hi
When I burn that slide show on a DVD and I put the DVD in my DVD reader, conected to the television, the quality of the images become very poor.
    What's appens ??
As I see it - it falls back on that DVD is as STANDARD only Interlaced SD-Video at it's best (even commercial made ones)
The Quality You see on Your Mac is prior to this down-scaling process.
If You need higher quality (and this includes several problems)
    • DVDs can not be used
    • You can try Blu-Ray (short one on DVD disks) - BUT You also need a Blu-Ray Player as a PlayStation 3 (you also need a program that can author BD-Disks as Roxio Toast™)
    • You can try to Export as HD and to an USB-Memory stick - if You have any device that can take this
    • You can connect a Mac to a big sized flat-screen TV - and playback this way
    End of ideas.

  • Help Needed!  I have created a 13 Min Slide Show in iPhoto (iMac Mavericks) but am having problem with adding music.

I created a 13 min Slide Show in iPhoto but have a question on adding music.  I would like to add music clips that are set to change at the beginning of certian slides so that there is a varity of music during the show rather than a continuous theme clip.  I know you can add multiple clips but can you pin them to change at a particular point in the program?  Right now the music clips just run to their time limit and the next one starts.  Isn't there a way to edit them the way it can be done in iMovie? Its frustrating to be able to create a nice slide show and not be able to manage the music background.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

No, you don't have that fine grained control of the soundtrack in iPhoto. It's designed for a quick job, not a complex one.
    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
iMovie is on every Mac sold.
    Others, in order of price:
    PhotoPresenter  $29
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
FotoMagico $29 (Home version) ($149 Pro version, which includes PhotoPresenter)
    Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

  • PSE9 - can a slide show be created from multiple folders in folder order?

I keep my pictures in folders by year.  In all other releases of Photoshop Elements I could select keywords, display them from all folders, then create a slide show from all folders in file name within folder order.  Is this still possible in PSE9?  I tried sorting them in the Quick Reorder screen and couldn't figure out what order it put them in.  I find it frustrating having to rearrange all the pictures.

    Hi,
If you are looking for a way to show files in date order then you can do so using the option Media Browser arrangement shown on top right of image well. You can choose Date Newest First or Oldest First as required. In folder view of PSE 9 you will be shown files that have been i mported from that folder only. You can turn on the timeline(Ctrl + L)  to navigate between folders.
Hope this helps. It would be great if you could explain the workflow more clearlrfor us to help further.
    Thanks

  • Can iPhoto slide shows be move from one iPhoto 11 library to another??

Over the years (2004 to the present), I have used iPhoto to create some great family slide shows. The best works are carefully syncrhonized with musical background and  crafted Ken Burns motion coupled with transitions and labels to emphasize features. I have exported them as HD movies for playing with great success.
My problem is that I would like to preserve the original slide shows as an archive  for playing on the Apple TV or future hires devices yet to come. But they are scattered over several different iPhoto libraries. Long ago (aka > 2 years), it was necessary to use multiple iPhoto libraries because they were so big and hard to move around. Today I have a machine big enough to house the entire photo library with terabytes to spare and I have consollidated all the separate libraries into one master library which can be accessed from an Apple TV or a laptop.
The consolidation was done withiPhoto Library Manager by Fat Cat Software. After some false starts this worked out well but Library Manager doesn't seem to have the capability of copying the slide shows. The Events,  Albums, and meta data appear to copy ok but the slide shows don't appear in the listing of the iPhoto library and hence can't be marked to copy. Maybe I am missing something in the copy process.
Is there another way to copy the slide show definitions? It would take many hours of labor to reconstruct all of the motion and transitions.
My guess is that I am not the only person in the world that has made a nice slide show and now can't copy it into a new iPhoto library.

    Not really

  • Pausing a slide show created in iDVD.

I'm using iDVD to create slide shows and then burning to a DVD, but I can't pause the slide shows when they are showing on the TV. Is there a way to do this?

What do you have for slide timing?  Set to manual and then try again:
Follow this workflow to help ensure the best quality final product:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Slide show program for iMac

I was a Window user that switched to Mac about a year ago.  I use PhotoShow Gold to create some wonderful slide shows.  When I made the switch I thought I could use Parallels to continue using Proshow.  For the most part it has worked out.  But recently I have started running into instability problems with Proshow.  Part of the problem is that I dont use it on a regular basis...2-3 projects a year.
I am looking for a Mac product that will allow me to do the same thing that I can get from Proshow Gold...images/videos, add music and creative transitions.  Any suggestions?
    Just upgraded to Maverick.
    Thanks

There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:
    http://www.lqgraphics.com/software/phototomovie.php
(Other users here use the alternative FotoMagico:  http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/homevspro/ which you may prefer - I have no experience with it.)
Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie  as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast,  for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!
To simply create a slide show in iDVD 7 onwards from images in iPhoto or stored in other places on your hard disk or a connected server, look here:

  • I want to make a copy of slide show create from my own photographs and with a an audio track behind them. I have carefully followed the iDVD tutorials and burnt the result to a disc but image quality is very poor. What is wrong?

I want to make a DVD of a slide-show with an audio track behind the photographs. I have carefully followed the iDVD video tutorials but the result is far from satisfactory. The quality of the images on the resulting DVD are blurred and indistict although the original photographs are of a very high quality. Where am I going wrong? Would I have better results from a different program than the inbuilt iDVD and if so so what programs have others found to be better? I should be grateful for some expert guidance.

    Hey Falcopebo,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Looks like you have image quality issues when using iDVD to burn.
iDVD 7.0: Burned DVD has interlacing, pixelation, or image quality issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4078
A standard DVD made by iDVD is made to the standard DVD resolution of 720 X 480, which is smaller than most HDTVs and monitors. When expanded to fit the entire screen or monitor, the image will distort slightly due to upscaling to fit the screen or monitor.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

  • PDF slide show created in PE 10 won't play

Slides are there and can be advanced manually, but audio track is missing and slides will not play as in a show.  Any ideas why?

don't think audio will play within a pdf slideshow.
That's right. Audio, transitions, pan and zoom, etc. aren't possible with the level of PDF that PSE creates.

  • Import Images into slide show - Creating Thumbnail images -Hang

I am using iDVD 7. I imported my images into a slideshow. The pictures were not in iPhoto but just a folder that I created and edited in Photoshop. Once I import the images, the window shows all the file names as expected but all the Image Thumbnails are blank and the top of the window there is a message "+Creating thumbnail images... (32 remaining)+" with a spinning wheel next to the message. This message stays there forever. The 32 is the number of images in the slideshow. I can do most things in iDVD while this is going on, but I cannot add the audio I want.
What is causing this and can I get it to stop?

To add to this I decided to remove the slideshow and now import the pictures from iPhoto. I can only get ride of the message by closing iDVD down. When I relaunch iDVD the message is gone. When I now import the pictures from iPhoto the same thing happens where it hangs on creating thumbnail images.
