Can a stamp be applied to a folder of PDF files in Acrobat X?

Can a stamp be applied to a folder containing a number of PDF files in Acrobat X? In other words, you choose the stamp, then choose a folder containing the PDF files and stamp all of the files at one time?
Thank you.

The "Stamp" being referred to is not necessarily a "time stamp".
Acrobat and Reader comes with a series of annotations that look like rubber stamps. There is a special category within these stamps that is categorized as "Dynamic" and these stamps have form fields within them that are either automatically populated or the user is asked for the required input, but once these 'stamp' or annotations (comments) are placed this data is flattened or baked into the image and can not be changed.
You might want to look at Dynamic Stamp Secrets by Thom Parker or PDF Stamp Annotations at PDFScripting.com to see some of the interactive features that are possible.

  • I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI

I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 (Mozilla) to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI. Each time, Acrobat replies (in french) : "il n'y a pas de client pour la messagerie par défaut". Thunderbird is indicated as "by default" in the list of programs of Windows.
Even if I type my e-mail address, etc. in the account of Acrobat, it doesn't change. Each time, I have to record a PDF file in a folder and return to Thunderbird to send it as attached. It is a too long process,  compared with Windows XP with Acrobat Reader or Acrobat 5, I had before.
Would you please help me to explain the process. My OS is Windows 8.1.
    Thank you

    Thank you for your answer.
What i want to do : to send PDF files as attached documents in a message
generated by thunderbird by my e-mail address [email protected] or
    another one I have.
When I introduce my e-mail address under Edit-Preferences-Email
Accounts, Acrobat ask the e-mail account, the password, the IMAP for
ingoing message (and I use POP) and SMTP for outgoing messages. Even I
introduce all the datas, it doesn't change, Acrobat is unable to send
the message. And the process is not convenient, because I need all my
outgoing messages be documented inside Thunderbird.
So, I repeat my request : how can I use thenderbird as program by
default from Acrobat or any other software ?
Thank you for your next message.

How to apply special right to the PDF  file using the LiveCycle Rights Management Server.?
I want  to edit bar code field data using Adobe Reader. Bar Code field was designed and data was changing using Acrobat X1 Professional (Trial Version). But can't do so in adobe reader.

I think that product has nothing to do with it. You would use LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

I have configured PDF Genrataor in LiveCycle 2.5. I have configured my watchedfolder endpoints.
When I place a folder (which has doc file in it) in the IN folder..I expect the OUT to contain same folder (with pdf file in it), But it does not happen. What I see in in the OUT folder I see a pdf file with the foldername and pdf extension....
    Can anyone suggest.......

Why do we have to install 2 add ins for something that should be built in? Please add this to the next version or an update to this one even. We should see the full path of a bookmark when we search for it. Show Parent Folder alone isn't enough if you have sub folders, so I installed Go Parent Folder as well in case of sub folders.

  • Why can't I email a pdf file from Acrobat XI Standard?

Whenever I try to email a pdf file from Acrobat XI Standard, nothing happens. Outlook 2007 is my default
email program. I have checked the preferences to be sure that Outlook is checked as default, and it is,
but when I click on the email icon or select email from the dropdown menu, nothing happens. This is
so frustrating. I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

Be sure that MAPI is properly active in your Outlook. I am not an Outlook user, but that is what is needed.

  • How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X?

How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X? I'd like to modifiy the file which I have only as a PDF/A.

There's two answers if you want to modify the file:
You can temporarily turn off PDF/A Mode in your preferences, so they don't open as read-only. The problem would be if you do something to the file that violated the PDF/A standard, so you should always run a Preflight check afterwards to make sure.
If you want to remove the PDF/A header tag, use Preflight again - it's on the Print Production Panel in Acrobat X Pro (which may be hidden, use the options menu on the Tools Pane to show it). There's a profile called "Remove PDF/A information" - choose this and press Analyze and Fix. Nothing else about the file will be altered but when you save and reopen it all the editing tools will become active.

    Hi,
To create the task for attachment
Use the BOR SELFITEM and method NOTES_APPEND.

    But the TYPE : OBJ.
Similarly using NOTE_DISPLAY method u can display the documents u like.
In any work item u have the facility to attach any atttchment for further circulation .
    Attchment @ WORKITEM
1.Click the workitem for which you want to create the attchment
    2.Press create attachment
    3. Add the attachment u like (PDF)

  • I upgraded to Lion and now can't print PDF files and Acrobat reader doesn't work anymore. What can I do to get it working?

I upgraded to Lion and now can't print PDF files and Acrobat reader doesn't work anymore. What can I do to get it working?

If you upgraded and were using a version of Acrobat Reader that was legacy, that is PPC compatible, then you will have to upgrade to a version compatible with Lion as Lion no longer has Rosetta to interface with the legacy software.
I know that Acrobat, full version, 10 works with Lion...use it myself.

  • How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open for incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open for incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

    Hi,
Assuming that you have Reader 9.3.4 already installed on your machine, you can try the following to make Reader 9.3.4 as the default PDF opening application:
    1. Right click on any PDF on your system and click on the "Open With" Option in the context menu that appears. In case you get another submenu, click on Chose Program in that menu. (In case you do not see any "Open With" option, then hold down the Shift key and right click on the file)
    2. Click on Browse button in the dialog that appears, and select Reader 9. Make sure that you select the checkbox for "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
    3. Click on OK.
This will make Adobe Reader 9 as the default viewer for all PDFs on your system.

    Hi,
Based on your code, I see your code related to
    iTextSharp Pdf.
iText is a third party library to create PDF originally written for java. iTextSharp is
the C# adaptation of that library.
Question regarding iText are better asked on the iText forum, rather than the Microsoft Forum:
    http://itextpdf.com/support
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Can you convert the Outlook 2010 Tasks folder to PDF?

    Hi All,
Please can you let me know how to convert the Outlook 2010 Tasks folder to PDF?  When I select "Convert Selected Folders" from the PDFMaker Add-In in Outlook the Tasks folder is greyed out.
Is this because PDFMaker doesn't support this?  If not, is there another way to convert the Tasks folder to PDF?
    Cheers

    Hello hillsmeister,
Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
If it is Acrobat version 10 and later, then only PDFMaker application would be compatible with Outlook 2010.
Try converting some other mails to Adobe PDF and check if the same issue persists.
    Please let me know.
    Regards,
    Anubha

  • How can I use applescript for OCR of a bunch of files - with Acrobat XI?

    Hi there,
Iwant to write a script (eg applescript) that can be used as a droplet or has a menu to open a folder of scanned pdf-files to conduct OCR. And - I want to use Acrobat XI (as this is my version), German verison.
As Acrobat XI is not recordable with the applescript-editor and I do not find a manual of objects and methods I googled a script that worked with Acrobat 9 but not with Acrobat XI. Here you define a "Action Assistant"-Script e.g. called "OCR this" and "click" the item. But as in Acrobat XI this Item is noch in the main-sbubmenu anymore it seems not to work.
    Here is a Screenshot:
And this is theapplescrpt, tha opens the "Aktionsassistent":
click the menu item "Aktionsassistent" of menu "Werkzeuge" of menu item "Werkzeuge" of menu "Anzeige" of menu bar item "Anzeige" of menu bar 1
Butr then I cannot reach "OCR this".
If any body has a hint - either for clicking "OCR this" or to sript  an OCR on an opened pdf.file with applescript this would be great.
    Thanks,
    Maritn

AppleScript is documented in the Acrobat SDK. But there is no method for this.

  • What happens (or can happen) when connecting to a website from a pdf file?

(Part of this post was copied from a question I posted earlier, to which I received two correct answers)
I'm working with WIndows 7 Home Edition. I downloaded a pattern in pdf. One of the first times I had the document open, I saw a little message, asking me to allow the document with the website it came from. At that time I didn't want that to happen so I answered 'do not allow' (or words to that effect).
I'm working with Windows 7 HE, Adobe Reader v.10.1.1
I have now changed my 'do not allow' to 'allow' so the pdf file can connect with the website I downloaded it from.  But I'm curious: what is or could be the purpose of that connection? Anything I have to be worried about? And from whom does that request come? The Adobe pdf file, or the website where I downloaded it from?
    THanks!
    Ciske.

"There are a number of things within a PDF file that can request data from a webserver, or post data back to one, but they can only be triggered by the PDF file - not the server.
A form can submit completed fields to the server, and read a response message (e.g. to confirm the data is correct)
A rich media annotation (Flash, video or audio) can download content from the server instead of embedding it in the file
Scripts within a specially-written PDF file can communicate with a server using protocols such as SOAP, to retrieve data (e.g. to look up information in a remote database)
There's no immediately-obvious way to tell exactly what information is being sent or received unless you inspect the PDF in some detail; but because of the security models used by Acrobat and Adobe Reader, files which communicate with a remote server cannot read or write data from your own computer without your interaction - so they cannot secretly upload files, passwords, etc."
Thank you very much for your explanation.
I understand the three points you explaned. It is just hard to apply them to the kind of pdf file I am referring to. But I don't know anything about adobe reader, and that may very well be the reason for my lack of understanding.
The file is an explanation, a pattern of a craft project, with extensive drawings to help understanding the directions. The website has many patterns (all pdf files) of the very same kind available.
I believe I understand your explanation, but again, it is hard to imagine why a simple pdf file like the one we're talking about would need to connect with the website it came from. But then again, I know NOTHING about pdf files.
So, in my simple mind, I felt I had to deny permission to connect which I have now made possible again. It's annoying to see something like this happen and not have a CLUE what it is about
Thank you again for your help.
    Ciske.

  • How do I add a folder of pdf files to itunes?

Hi. I am preparing for my Ipad arriving next week. I have over 500 pdf files arranged in folders. I am trying to add them to my itunes library so as to sync to Ibooks but when I try adding a folder, nothing happens. I can add the files individually but this is going to make it difficult to organise the files because I need quick access on request when using the files.Does anyone have any ideas please
