Can a stolen French release iPhone be tracked by its GPS signal? Even if the thief unlocks it?
Of course, if the theif has the passcode to unlock it, he/she can simply disable mobile me or any other tracking app installed.
Bottom line is, that unless you:
a) had mobileme's find-my-iPhone (or other tracking software) installed and activated before the theft,
b) had a passcodee on the phone so the theif cannot simple go in and change anything they want
c) the theif keeps the phone turned on and is somewhere with a data connection active
there is no way to track it.

Yes, I filed police report, but there is nothing they can do until I get back to them on the tracking. It's been offline. I'm sure the whoever took it can find a way around breaking in the ipad..i really was hoping to get my pictures and videos of my kids back

Yes, but you'd first need to know the GPS coordinates. You'd need a court order to get the carrier to release this info(extremely difficult to obtain), then you'd need the police involved to witness & verify the software being used to locate the phone by its Mac address(again difficult to do). But, possible.

How can I synch my ipod & iphone music (purchased from itunes on my old laptop) to my new laptop? I keep getting the same message on my itunes on my new laptop: " The ipod/Iphone is synched with another itunes library. An ipod/iphone can be synched with only one itunes library at a time. A couple of other items:
1) I am guessing Apple does not keep a history of all my music purchases? As I did not have my entire library backed-up anywhere, and relying on the music I have on my ipod and my iphone as my only source of itunes music....I have lost over 500 songs!!!
2) I used to have an Apple account under another account name, and since have switched to a new account name. Is there anyway to find the history of purchases from my old Apple account name and transfer these over to my new account name and onto my new laptop?

Hey guys, so I recently had my macbook pro stolen. I had my find my mac turned on and i was wondering if i could still track my laptop if the thief wiped my hard drive and the recovery partition, but if they reinstalled the mountain lion osx from the internet recovery would that erase the find my mac feature? Yes, if the wiped the drive Find My Mac would no longer work. The can't reinstall Mountain Lion without your Apple ID or an Apple ID of their own.

I have a iphone 5 iOS 8.2 and occasionally it will not connect to the internet, even though the Wi-Fi show as connected. If I reboot the phone it will work properly. Any idea how to fix this?

I noticed with my iPhone 5 that the map directions never seem to work. Then I noticed my Nike+ app GPS signal always shows as weak and it doesn't work. I never had the problem with my iPhone 4S so I thought maybe the new iOS. I took my old 4S in it's case (now my wifes phone) and started the Nike+ on it and on my iPhone 5 (no case) sitting next to each other. The 4S got a strong GPS signal. The 5 got nothing...
Has anyone out there experienced the same thing? I'm trying to determine if this a global 5 thing or just my phone.
Thanks all for your replies.For the record - After calling support and running some diags I took the iPhone 5 into an Apple store. The phone was replaced and all is good. So this turns out to be a hardware issue, not an app or software issue.

Go to a Office type store or online and buy a copy of Windows 7 Home Basic, Home or Pro (whatever) and stick the 64bit DVD into the computer.
You'll have to first learn about Bootcamp if your going to want to dual boot, it's complex and a hassle, but gives full hardware performance.

Another way is to first install VMFusion, Parallels or VirtualBox and then install Windows into that, Windows runs like a file in a window on OS X. You can run Windows programs in that, but it's not as powerful as BootCamp method, but more convenient for most normal (non-hardware taxing) programs. -

Are the charger nd cable original Apple parts or third-party? There have been a lot of problems ith third party cables and chargers since iOS 7 - checks for compatibility with Apple specs.
Try another charger and cable to see if that makes a difference.
